The unit was large as a 2-bedroom, the kitchen was large and well stocked with modern appliances, and all the rooms were immaculate upon arrival. The lanai was similarly large with a table and 4 chairs, plus 2 recliners the owners placed on a bit of artificial turf. And the view of the coast did not disappoint! Crashing waves against lava fields made for exciting watching. No whales were seen this trip but they definitively are out there passing by. The folks at KCV were amazing and attentive from the moment we engaged them months ago in planning. They provided support and many recommendations on what to do for entertainment and meals in the area. We look forward to returning in a couple of years! read more

This is a long overdue but so very well deserved review for KCB staff! Hubby & I stayed at a condo @ Casa de Emdeko (managed by KCV) for a little over a month this past Fall 2024. We are truly impressed on how well KCV operates to service their guests as compared to any other property management company! Given the length of our 1 month stay, we had interacted with the KCV staff on several occasion (they also provided extensions for our stay as well as a few customer service inquiries). First off, the condo was in pristine condition upon arrival! I am bit nitpicky about cleanliness. Even the lanai furniture was dust-free and fresh (critical since we sat on the ocean view lanai nightly to watch the gorgeous sunset). We NEVER had issues reaching them with our needs and they were ALWAYS quick to respond. Casa de Emdeko does have almost weekly water shut-offs due to the age of the property - KCV turned what would have been an inconvenience into a much doable vacation challenge by providing ample notice. We can't sing enough praises for the entire Guest Services/Reservations Team A+!! Guest services team (Alanna, Gabby and Asi) were accountable, professional and always eager to assist. We even had an Amazon delivery during our stay and they advised for Amazon to deliver to their Kona office to ensure that our package was secure. As real estate investors on the mainland, we explored Kona investment properties and spoke with Natalie, KCV's new accounts manager about their services for investor owners. Once we secure a Kona investment property, we would definitely approach KCV to manage our investment. We are renting the property at 75-5530 Kona Bay Drive. It is not what I expected for the cost -- $25,000 for 10 days. The windows high up in the stairwell are operated electrically (can't be reached manually) and only one of them opens. This traps hot air in the house. The front door bell does not work, which sounds petty, but you must enter a code each time to get in, and/or if you want food delivered, or don't have the code with you, it is not good. The spa only runs 6pm to 8 pm when most folks are out to dinner or eating dinner. The pool is not heated. There are no condiments of any kind in the kitchen, except salt and pepper. Not even common items like mustard, mayo, sugar, etc. So, each party renting this home has to start from zero to cook a meal. Not typical of nicer properties. The furniture, dishware and glassware is cheap, old and in some cases, so rickety it is unsafe. One of the dining room chairs completely collapsed, sending me catapulting backwards where my head smashed into a cabinet. Not fun. The televisions did not work, so we had to have a tech guy come out. He got one TV in the living room to work, but the others don't get regular TV and are ridiculously janky to try to get streaming services to work. The home is very dated and filled with cheap tchotchke. It has a nice view of the ocean, but strangers wander onto the lava rock wall that encircles the backyard to look at the ocean, read a book, drink beer, etc. They can see right into the house. If this property were, say $1500 per night, I could see it. But at $2500 per night, it is way overpriced. Added info after review above written: the dishwasher is broken, half full of water, and will not drain. THe ice dispenser in the refrigerator does not work. New update: the shower in the bedroom downstairs does not get hot water. Kona Coast has sent maintenance. read more

Our family stayed with Kona Coast Vacations a few times and used to love their service. But during our most recent trip, that changed completely. We were staying at Sea Village 4307 and were woken by intense construction noise -- even once at 3 a.m. When we reached out to the company, we weren't asking them to investigate the source. We were simply asking for help -- mitigating the impact of the construction work on our holiday, a gesture of goodwill, anything to acknowledge how disruptive this was. Instead, they explained the noise wasn't coming from their property and left it at that. No solutions, no options, no accountability. It really felt like they were protecting themselves instead of taking care of us. And that's not what you want when you're spending money on a vacation you hoped would be relaxing. read more

The perfect condo! It had everything you would ever need - and more! Starting with the inside - they had all the amenities we were looking for. A/C, great king bed, and really comfortable furniture to relax on. Even a really nice Murphy bed! Everything was in great condition and looked new. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of beach equipment! 4 Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrella, 4 snorkels and many other things. The lanai view... wow! Beautiful views overlooking the water, saltwater pool and beach area. The sunsets are glorious with tiki torches and palm trees in the foreground - can't be beat! The only thing to be aware of is the long walk down the building hallway to the condo. To have those amazing views, you have to be willing to walk a ways and do a few stairs - worth it!! Not for someone with mobility issues. We'll be back! Mahalo! read more

Our stay at condo F106 was just amazing. The minute you walk out of your car spot, you see the beautiful landscape it is just the start of your stay at this wonderful condo. As you walk in you feel at home. This condo is five stars in so many ways, the high-end kitchen appliances, the beautiful stonework throughout the condo was definitely thought through and beautifully decorated. The layout was great. The master bedroom is on one side and the second bedroom is on the other side, you walk out on the lanai and it takes your breath away beauty all around you're looking right out to the ocean and on our first day we see whales, just amazing view , very restful, we're coming back again next year to the same unit I can't say enough how well this unit is taken care of, it was our second home for a month and we loved every minute of it! read more

Kona Isle B38 - This place is awesome! Gorgeous view of both the ocean and the mountains right out the slider and from the lanai, absolutely beautiful and well maintained grounds, and well stocked, comfortable condo. The bed is very comfortable, as is the living room furniture. The kitchen has everything you need. The place is very clean and it's really obvious that the owners put a lot of their hearts into it, because it's both really well stocked and so well maintained. There's some snorkel gear there too which is really nice, we definitely used it! Also the grill area is wonderful - grills for anyone to use and loungers and chairs - really nice to have that hang out space. The pool as well, there are pool noodles to use which were a big hit with my kids. My family of four stayed here for a week and it was everything we needed (and more!). The location is awesome too, super close to the downtown area with tons of restaurants and shops. We'll be back for sure! read more

Had a wonderful stay with Kona Coast Vacations at the Villa Kai. Home was very clean and roomy with a private pool and amazing view. Home had a ton of outdoor seating and large indoor open-air living space. It had one master in main portion of house and then a second building that housed a second master bedroom, a second guest bath and two guest bedrooms. This layout was great for my family since we were traveling with small children and grandparents. The one potential negative is that the floors are stone. While great for the indoor/outdoor living and wet kids dripping water, I do not recommend for babies who are of the crawling age. This home was just a short walk to a small beach. The beach was great for children as the rocks created a large pool/lagoon to swim or snorkel in without worrying about waves. Kona coast vacations was very helpful and responsive during our stay. Upon arrival we found a nice gift from the company, a small cooler bag with local treats. During our stay, We had one small issue with a sliding door coming off the track and they sent someone almost immediately to repair it. read more

I want to start by saying that we really enjoyed our recent stay and I'm conflicted about leaving a less-than-stellar review. I choose Kona Coast Vacations, the Mauna Lani Terrace complex and this unit very carefully after reading reviews and doing research. The condo was comfortable, well stocked and almost everything we were expecting and we would absolutely rent it again. All our interactions, booking, check-in and check-out were smooth and professional and we felt very well taken care of. When we emailed the morning after arriving about seeing more than the usual amount of cockroaches in the condo, Gabby responded quickly and within a few hours the unit had been sprayed. There was one issue that really affected our stay and the lack of response from Kona Coast about it left a really bad taste. The glass in one of the four large windows in the living room was shattered floor to ceiling and fixed with duct tape. Not only was it an extremely ugly eyesore, it looked somewhat dangerous. The damage reduced the quality of the condo and took away from our enjoyment of the view, one of the primary features we choose this condo and paid a premium price. I understand that accidents happen and often take longer than normal to repair, however I was very surprised to find an issue like this would not be mentioned in advance or addressed. If this had been a hotel room, we absolutely would've asked to be moved to another room. I submitted feedback when we got home and asked for a small discount as compensation for the diminishment of the quality of the unit during our stay and.....radio silence. read more

Fairways Villas A31 - we recently rented this condo for a week during the Hawaii Ironman competition. It was up to date and looked just like the photos. Great view of the fairway from the large living/ dining room and primary suite. Condo was clean and primary suite and bath was large. We enjoyed the complex amenities, especially lounging at the infinity pool and workout area. Close enough to walk to the 2 large shopping centers nearby for coffee &/or dining but full kitchen if you decide to have some meals at home. Definitely would rent again if we qualify for next year's meet. read more

We stayed at Sea Village 3210. It was very cute, clean and had an amazing view. My husband and I had coffee and dinner on the lanai often. Plus the place was only 20 minutes walking distance to downtown Kona. The only downside is that they didn't have air conditioner, which made it hard to sleep comfortably at night due to the heat and humidity. They do provide fans, but it wasn't enough to keep the place cool. read more

We booked this stay for a girls trip in January. The house was so much more than what we expected. Great location. The house was immaculate, had absolutely everything and more than what we needed.. There was plenty of space for all of us to work, the rooms were all very private, the Wi-Fi was excellent. The beds were comfortable and nicely furnished. We felt very safe.
