Pulled in by the story and stayed for the coffee as overprices as it is. It was so strong I had to dump half of that $15 cup away. Service was fine. There was no friendliness from the lady with the accent packing coffee and the barista was fine. Improve this and people would pay for those tours instead of a self-guided one. While I can appreciate the gorgeous ocean view and the incredible lush greens surrounding the property I'd be lying if I said they were the draws to this location. A quick tour through the separating and roasting rooms gave some depth to the finished product, but ultimately the smell of that ground up bean is too tantalizing to resist. You can buy authentic, 100% Kona coffee anywhere if you try hard enough. You fly 3500 miles across the country from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean for the peaberry blend. The view is just a bonus. Stopped here on a whim and so glad we did, once you pass the parking lot you are met with the most unexpected and magical view. Staff was very friendly and informative on the options. This place is amazing. The view is breathtaking and absolutely just for that worth coming here. I will say their service is a bit limited, I think they're kinda understaffed and your coffee will vary with whichever barista is available. I wish they had more food choices, that would make this place even more amazing. Just some pastries and bagels. But unfortunately due to lack of staff I think that's kinda impossible as of now to increase their food choices. Only person we could talk to about coffee was the gentleman at the coffee cafe, and there we'd have had to pay for "cups" of coffee if we wanted to taste the different varieties. My family did the $30 tour & it was awesome! The tour was quick about 30 min but packed with information. The girl who gave our tour was incredibly kind and informative. The two girls making coffee were also very knowledgeable and friendly as well. The farm itself has a great view and the coffee was very tasty. Definitely worth making the stop! read more

Coffee tasted good & also the chocolate pea berry bean that wifey got a bag. Wanted to buy a T-shirt but they only had small sizes! We did the self-guided tour and it was so great. We took it at our pace and it is so informative. There were 2 resident dogs and they were so friendly. I'm so happy for them. It is such a picturesque spot and when we went to the Cafe portion, it overlooked the entire grounds. We got the latte and Mojo which was a cappuccino with orange. It paired so well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We also got the tuxedo muffin which went well. We got to enjoy some beautiful views and light rain. It was such a relaxing place. read more

Kona Joe's is in my top 3 for best view from a coffee farm on Big Island! Anytime I have family and friends visit, this is one of the places I like to bring them to soak in the beautiful view of the ocean, coastline and coffee trees. This to me is the ultimate "Kona Experience". There is an open-air cafe that you can order lattes, colf brews, french presses and pour overs with a limited food option, mostly pastries. Next to the cafe is a big lawn with a few tables and chairs set up where you can enjoy your coffee and enjoy the view and nice breeze. There is even a telescope that takes change so you can get a closer look of the ocean and maybe spot a whale when in season between November - April. Pro tip: Go through the gift shop and sample a few of their different roasts and beans before ordering your cup of "Joe" at the cafe. The gift shop also offers lots of gourmet snacks, chocolates, and Kona Joe swag. read more

This farm is incredible and so beautiful. The tour is very fun and informative. You get to see the coffee plants, how the beans are processed. The food offerings aren't super great BUT THAT VIEW!!!! I always go just to get a latte and when I am meeting up with a friend it's the first place I suggest. I have never seen more than 10 people in there which is surprising because it's the best view and coolest breezes, easy parking. There is always an awesome gift shop and you can roast your own coffee, not really my thing but it seems like a cool experience for anyone visiting the island.
