And I have generally been satisfied. Their folks come on time -- or offer to come early if they're ahead of schedule -- and are always pleasant and efficient. BUT they do one thing that drives me crazy: Instead of contacting the customer to schedule an appointment at a convenient time, their automated scheduler simply informs you that they're coming at X date and time. Because my schedule varies, that almost never works, and I have to waste my time contacting them to reschedule. When I complained about this once, they said, roughly, that they have to do it this way. No they don't. I've never encountered another business that operates this way and it's a constant source of frustration.

Bowman has tented my house twice…read more Many reviewers are upset because there is some damage and mess after crews leave. This is a common complaint with all the companies. HOWEVER, I have had 3 other companies tent my home & talked with many friends about this over the years, and Bowman is the ONLY company that actually did it correctly. The whole point of tenting is for the gas to penetrate deeply into the joists and studs. That's where the mosquitos are breeding. So, unless there is a very tight fit along the ground and around the house , the tenting is useless and the gas all leaks into the atmosphere. Thousands of dollars for nothing! Bowman is the ONLY company that made sure ( a guy came out 3!! times to check before the actual tenting), that I had followed their instructions to make sure that the "snake" that holds down the tent would be a tight fit. Each time, he walked the path with me, pointing out problem points. I needed to pull out weed bushes and move lava rocks so that the "snake" could lie flat. I also had to smooth out the ground somewhat (and it's very uneven here in South Kona). It was a huge but necessary hassle. Why pay thousands of dollars it you don't prepare the ground correctly? Bowman did bring a lot of sand to help with this task but my ground is uneven enough that it required extra work. NO OTHER COMPANY that I've heard about goes to this much trouble to do it correctly. I have talked with sooo many people about this. So, while I, too, wish that the termite companies were better at cleaning up afterward, their main job is kill the nests of termites. And Bowman will do that.

We sprayed and sealed areas where they might enter and rid our home of them. To date, they haven't returned. Recently, our lanai, as well as our neighbors', were overrun with pill bugs. Our advice from the site manager was to schedule Mason for an additional treatment at our own cost (not covered by our dues). We instead purchased a bait that slugs, snails and pill bugs devour and die from. After 3 boxes of the bait they were no longer invading. We included our neighbor's lanai since they were traveling. Mosquitoes, flies and ants are abundant and we have observed no reduction after scheduled spraying by Mason.

They put extra gas to balance gas level. Everyone know if there is holes in a contain area especially when you have air flow inside that contain area it will escape through holes. Very disappionted!!!
