$16 with upgrades extra scoop fish avocado seaweed salad, quinoa and almost all the toppings!
    Anna T.

Wow, this place has legit poke! I mean it's legit legit... My hubby said just from walking in for the first time, he could sense it's a great place. It can be easily missed..we shop at Safeway all the time and had no idea there's a poke place a few doors down. We went on Feb 14 still chilly outside at 11am. It was like walking into a meat locker we were chilled to the bones. No heaters. Yelpers led me to this place and we were determined to tough out the cold and didn't question it. Just used to Asian places being cold and drafty. We should have known and dressed warmer. We were joking the whole time about eating Hawaiian food in an arctic setting. There was only one guy doing everything. He was pretty efficient we didn't wait too long given there were a few couples that came in right after us. We opened our compostable box that was brought to us by the kind one man show.. and was impressed. Everything looked plentiful, super fresh and super ono. My only critique was since it's $3 extra on the seaweed salad, I was expecting a larger amount. Then, we took our first bite and looked at each other and knew. Poke bliss! The real deal poke! ... not some chain or wannabe poke place, it's authentic and Hawaiian family run!! You can taste it throughout every bite. We were so transported to Hawaii even though in reality we were freezing to death. The base poke cost is $16. If you're not picky like me and want special toppings it should be just $16. That's a great deal imo! I wanted the furikake salmon and did an extra scoop of fish so did the spicy Kilauea tuna $5, quinoa for base $1, Hawaiian chili pepper aioli for sauce (lots of different sauce option), seaweed salad for $3 for side salad, and furikake seasoning, fried shallots garlic, salmon skins, half avocado $2. (Make sure get all the crispy toppings and furikake seasoning it makes your poke sing). They ran out of fried jalepenos. It's a $27 bowl but it was such a generous portion of good size chunks of the freshest quality fish. Not one hint of unfreshness! I got the spicy tuna with Hawaiian chili pepper aioli so was expecting some heat but it really wasn't spicy but good nonetheless. My hubby only got one scoop of salmon and he was beyond satisfied it really was a generous scoop compared to other poke places. He really enjoyed the white rice it was the perfect flavor and texture. If I had to choose only one fish, I would go for the salmon. They also have a ginger flavor tuna and a tofu protein option. We also got the appetizer lobster/crab cake 3 patties $14. (They have it as a meal as well that comes with sides.) it's not what you picture like a super formed patty. There's absolutely no filler. So it's a very tender and super flavorful patty of pure goodness! We were so happy we picked this. If you're craving poke, bookmark Kona poke house. Gear up with warm clothes during winter months and enjoy their onolicious dishes. It will warm your souls.

Hooo whatever aunty orchid stay cooking in the back gotta be illegal. The food here was so ono that i straight thought i was gonna take 1 nap right on the bench. Brah this place hands down the best poke spot in WA. The way aunty cures the fish the traditional Hawaiian way makes the fish even more tender like one grade 5 steak. My god if this place was on top a mountain I'd climb to it weekly to grab one bite. Be warned the place sells out fast but well worth it. Bulk approved

Want a taste of Hawaii? Well, come to the Kona Poke House in Duvall! I've eaten the Kalua pork plate to go twice and it's delicious. It reminds of the kalua park I had in Hawaii. I usually put soy sauce on it and Tapatio. I like the extra spicy touch. The macaroni salad it's equally good. I got the one with salmon which has a smokey flavor-delicious! You can pick between many Hawaiian salads. You can have white or brown rice. It has many kinds of pokes which I will have to try. So many dishes here. I bet they're all great. The owner, Orchid is super nice. Great service. She's from Kona and brings the island flavors to Duvall. It has picnic style tables and chairs inside and out. There are games to play and books to read- very charming ambience. You can't go wrong here. Thank you Orchid for setting up shop in Duvall! Stop by and say hello and grab a piece of Hawaii!!

I really liked the poke bowl I had here. The person working there was super friendly and helpful. I had a poke bowl that was very rich so next time I might skip the sauce on top and the macaroni salad...who knew that would make it rich??? ;)

Incredible, fresh food meets a fantastic, friendly staff. I've been to Kona a couple times since moving to the area, and each time I'm impressed. The restaurant is really cute, and the staff really do just go above and beyond to be lovely and welcoming. The same people are usually there when I go in, and I've loved chatting with them; I always feel very welcome. The food is outstanding. I've sampled both the hot food options (such as in my picture) and also the poke bowls, and I've not had anything bad yet. The Elvis fried rice has that perfect ratio of meat to rice, and the egg is perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. The poke always tastes super fresh and flavorful, and you must, MUST, try the macaroni salad; I get it every time no matter what the rest of my meal looks like. Overall, I recommend Kona as highly as I possibly can. Don't pass up this gem!

Upon entering there is a little Asian mini mart in there with rice noodles, sauces and a few staple Asian items. They had a display cold case of their pies. The coconut cream pie looked yummy so I bought one. My order was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered the half Huli huli chicken and beef with an extra scoop of rice . Mac salad and a coleslaw was also included. They also have an assortment of small sauces to go, ranching from one star and up. I picked the crying tiger sauce, teriyaki and chili oil . This is a hefty mixed plate, enough for two or to have as leftovers for me. The beef is my favorite, seasoned and sauced well. I added the sauces to the huli huli chicken and it was superb, the chicken was moist and tender. I love Hawaiian Mac salad, it's the better type of Mac salads. I really enjoyed their Mac salad and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was a nice palette cleanser amongst the heavy but comforting meal. The coconut cream pie was good. I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

I had laulau elsewhere recently, so I was interested in trying their version for comparison. Last laulau ordered here was in 2018! We took 99N all the way to Everett Mall Way to avoid the I-5 commute traffic (4/23/26). We were immediately seated and provided menus & ice water. Pretty much the same interior, no overhead music, and straightforward table service. There were three others dining onsite, but also later overheard phone orders taken followed with brisk takeout pickups. They also have the capacity for catering with product, prices, and serving pan sizes posted on the wall. The Homie ordered the loco moco with overeasy eggs, plus their standard cheeseburger. He was pretty happy with the outcome. Consistent to his previous experience, but also took note of the quality and reasonable cost for the cheeseburger. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing! Overall satisfying meal at a reasonable price.

I thought Mochiko chicken was supposed to be flavorful on its own, even without a sauce. Also the portion was kinda small for the price. The Kahlua pork bowl had pork, but also what tasted like loco Moco gravy... which was a good gravy, but not what we really wanted on top of Kahlua pork. When we saw that it came with "gravy" for the bowl description on the menu, I was thinking it would taste something more like the pork itself. Also, it was heavy on the rice. Lastly, the guava cake had a nice soft airy texture... but not enough guava flavor. It is huge, but mostly air. We didn't order it to-go, but it came in a to-go container rather than on a plate. I felt it was overpriced at almost $10 per slice. Overall, my experience was just alright. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't need to return.
