This is my new favorite food truck in the Seattle area. And it's not just because of their very tasty food. Although the food alone is five stars here, these are the nicest people I've met in a long time. First off, they are VERY dog friendly as you can see by my photos. They even have my pooch a biscuit on top of rice which my dog loved. I also loved the combo plate I ordered where the chicken, pork and macaroni were amazing. And I was lucky enough to try their brand new deconstructed Boston cream pie which was also very tasty. I will seek out this food truck moving forward, especially since they are so dog and brewery friendly! read more

Whenever this food truck is at Postdoc Brewing Company in Redmond I have to visit.. I pulled up, ordered for takeout this time around, and left with my food in ~5 minutes with only one order ahead of me at around 6pm on a Saturday. The Kalua pork and mochiko chicken are a perfect balance of tender, juicy, and savory. Decent food truck for Hawaiian local plates. Chicken katsu curry was probably our favorite, with tender chicken and tasty curry over rice. Mochi chicken had a good portion size, but was a bit too salty and overcooked, and I wish it had more of the special sauce. I really liked the mac salad that came with it, and would highly recommend a side of mac salad if you order something that doesn't include it. My wife had the jackfruit bowl and although she finished it she said she wouldn't order it again. Service was fast and friendly, so I will be back to try other things. read more

Ordered online for a takeout order of 2 volcano spam musubis, mochi chicken plate and chicken katsu plate. Never received a text saying they got my order or that it was ready for pick up; just an email receipt of my order. Went to pick it up anyways and it was already ready to go. We usually love musubis but the rice was kind of hard which made the musubi fall apart easy and kind of ruined the vibe. I would pass on the musubi. The mochi chicken was very yummy and plentiful, the mac salad was decent, and the real star of the show was the chicken katsu - crispy crunchy Panko coating and juicy tender chicken with a tangy sweet katsu sauce YUM. But again, the rice was just too dry and hard - maybe the rice needs a longer soak in water before cooking or just more water during cooking. I'm looking for tender and fluffy rice (good rice makes all the difference). I would order from Pono Plate again but probably make my rice in advance at home Overall good Hawaiian plates. read more

For starters, the mochi chicken is out of this world. Absolutely my new go-to comfort food. Their spam musubi and Mac salad are pretty fantastic. I've been enjoying Pono Plates around Woodinville for a bit of time, and the best thing isn't just that they have great food, but their service is second to none. They always right anything you need and go above and beyond to make their customers happy and to make sure. The only downside is they are so delicious they can sell out of your favourites. Now in these COVID-19 times they are working hard in their food truck with masks and following standards set by the CDC which is hard, but amazingly admirable. I love the fact that Kenmore has a food truck corner! Noticed Pono Plates on the rotation and made a mental note to try it sometime when the stars alliances, which happened to be tonight. Hot and tired, I didn't want to cook or so anything major and saw Pono Plates was at the food truck corner. Ordered online and sent my daughter to pick up. Everything was quick and easy, and pretty affordable. We got 1 Chicken Mochi bowl, 1 chicken teriyaki bowl, 1 Kalua Pork bowl, a chicken mochi plate and spam sliders which was plenty for 4 people. Ordered ahead for a family dinner and everything was superb! We tried the mochi chicken and kalua pork lunch plates, along with the sweet rolls. The online time estimate was precise - the text said X time, it was ready when we got there at X time. The lunch plates were all neatly in a bag they brought out when we let them know we arrived. Food was promised at a certain time. No updates at all. They are extremely slow. During the whole 40 minutes I was outside standing they only brought out two bags of food. Out of everyone standing around, only one person got food. This is unacceptable, why promise a time and then miss it. Food is ready, but they are beyond slow. They ended up running out of the mochi chicken, didn't tell anyone about this. Had them refund the item and another couple who ordered after me got served first. You will sober up before getting your food. The food is trash... will not be going back again. Might as well just cancel your order and go elsewhere. How do you take an hour for food when you promise a time. I understand 5/10mins behind. But when you have multiple people asking an estimate and can't provide this, it's unacceptable. There were multiple people who also didn't receive a text saying their food was ready. Very unorganized and need help running a food truck. read more

Wow! This place was so amazing, would highly recommend! We biked over from Wallingford to their food truck location next to cairn brewery in Kenmore. We ordered online and the food was ready in less than 10 min. The chicken in the Mochi plate was so tender and the rice and macaroni salad was the perfect accompaniment.
