My favorite spot for a custom poke bowl. Think chipotle but for POKE. You can choose one of their custom pre curated bowls or create your own. Pick a base... I choose sushi rice. They do have lots of options. Even cauliflower rice or brown. Next you choose your protein. I love their spicy tuna and salmon. Now for the fun part, you get to pick your toppings! They have it all: carrots, mango, seaweed salad, edamame, watermelon radish, ginger, cucumber, green onion and so much more. Lastly you can pick a crunchy topping like onion flakes or wonton chips. For premium toppings they have things like guacamole or orange tobiko. For drinks they have Stubborn soda and teas. I love Kona and am patiently waiting for a Merrit Island, Cocoa or Viera location. Kona Poke! Where do I begin? This was my first time ever having Poke and it was 10/10 amazing! The employees were so helpful describing everything to me and explaining the different options. Kona has plenty of variety to choose from, all seems super yummy! I had a Build Your Own Poke Bowl with Ahi Tuna alongside some Salmon and it was jaw dropping delicious! I love poke bowls - get them often. Wanted to like the bowls here too for another option when my favorite spot is closed or too far to get to. I ordered delivery. Bowl was ok, with exception of the protein. I ordered raw Salmon. It's the protein i get at all the poke spots. This salmon was pale pink, and didn't taste very fresh. I ended up leaving most of it behind and eating around it, as a precaution given the look and taste seemed off to me. I don't think i will be back. I do think it is expensive BUT the ingredients were super fresh and in terms of sushi, it is easily worth it. You pick your protein, your rice, and up to 6 toppings. The place is so cute, plenty of seating, custom soda, tea, or lemonade. I am telling you to GO! I picked up an order two weeks ago; here's why I was disappointed: the tuna was bland, the vegetables were bland, the whole thing was totally meh. I should have ordered some type of sauce (there's a great selection) but I expected the meal to be at least moderately seasoned. If you have to rely on sauces afterwards, that's a big indication that they don't care about the elements that go into your dish. The sauce should be an enhancement, not a make-or-break necessity'. I was so happy to see a poke spot in this area! The inside is nice and clean. The service is really friendly. I love the variety of toppings available to create your own bowl. I tried the ponzu citrus and sriracha aioli sauces in my bowl and the combination was perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. It was tangy, sweet, spicy, and creamy! I feel so ripped off! After getting my mini bowl for almost $12 I basically had about one cup of food for $12. There is very little salmon in my bowl. So one am I paying for a cup of rice with very little toppings and hardly any salmon for $12. Another family member had a regular size bowl which cost over $15 with only slightly more food than that. Our drinks which were in a tiny cup cost $2.89 each and unless you get three or four refills it's just not worth that price. The amount of food that was on the table for $34 feels like a total rip off. The prices are way too high for what you get. And then they want to tip on top of that. I will no longer go here because the amount of food you get for your money is not worth it. I'm sure there's lots of other places where the value for your money is way better than this. read more

I have been anxiously awaiting for Kona Poke to open and it was worth the wait! Not only do they have an abundance of gluten free options, but the bowls are all made with fresh ingredients by knowledgeable staff. I have a gluten allergy and it's often hard for me to find places that offer good gluten free food, let alone places that even consider us GF people. The food was incredible. I got a BYO bowl with rice and salad base, salmon, sesame and boom boom sauce (do NOT skip out on the boom boom sauce if you like a little heat), cilantro, cream cheese, cucumbers, green onion and seaweed salad. I was so impressed that the seaweed salad was made with GF soy sauce and the staff was quick to answer about it instead of having to go to the back and see. The wait in line was quick and the manager stepped in quickly to help move along the line. The options for bowls offered many different combinations for their build your own and even had GF and DF desserts as well. We were hoping to try the Dole Whip but heard that there were some manufacturing issues. We can't wait to try it on our next visit though! It was such a great experience that I immediately signed up for the rewards program because I already know this is going be my go to. This is by far some of the best poke I've had in long time. This was our first time eating here and we probably will not return. No one was in line behind us, we let the server know this was our first visit, and we felt rushed. The fish was tough and rubbery, not fresh. They up charge for ingredients that are normally used at their competitors. The avocado was a mashed up blob similar to guacamole. The serving size of crab was about a fork, very small for being charged extra. I asked for more and they said no. This is the first time that I have ever eaten at a poke bowl restaurant and left hungry for lunch. read more
