One of my favorite things about a coffeeshop is whether or not you get a mug when you dine in. This is a mug place. Across the board I tend to get a decaf mocha, and this place makes a nice smooth cup. Even when crowded, the atmosphere is pleasant because the seating is nicely spaced out. Sitting at the counter by the window isn't punishment because the stools are padded--and every chair in eyeshot looks comfortable to sit in. An important factor to consider if you're here to write for a few hours. The music is low key in the background, and there's plenty of green and brown in the cafe's color palette. To me, it feels like being on someone's nicely maintained back deck near their garden. It's a lovely place to write for a few hours. read more

Met up with friends at Kona Coffee Shop for a cozy breakfast and it was exactly what we needed. It was one of those true Colorado days outside, cold and crisp, and this place was the perfect spot to warm up and relax. The beverages were delicious and clearly made with care. The Kona breakfast sandwiches were flaky, soft, and full of flavor and honestly hit the spot. What really stood out was the staff. Friendly, welcoming, and on point from start to finish. So I've only been here twice, with yesterday being the 2nd time but it's a hit! I went for the first time for an hour long work meeting since my WiFi was cut off due me moving, and they happened to be offering free black coffee! When I got there at 845am, they were out :( but I was given cold brew instead. I'm not a coffee drinker so either was greatly appreciated. The cold brew was good from a non coffee drinkers perspective and it had me feeling "buzzed" lol. I also saw they have spam musubi, so I ordered two of those and also a water. The musubi was good and it's basically spam on top of rice and eggs wrapped in seaweed. I'd def get them next time I go and probably try a different drink too. I took an apple cinnamon muffin to go for a family member and she said it was very good. The ambiance was pretty chill, but did get kind of loud strictly due to the other customers yapping it up lol. I went yesterday with my fiancée right before they closed, and she was luckily able to get her iced coffee which she said was very good. She said she's been realizing how Starbucks really isn't that good compared to places like this. She also ordered a chocolate muffin which she questioned if it was made with almond flour due to the taste. I just ordered another apple cinnamon muffin to drop off for my family member since we were near her. The service was still really nice even though we showed up 9 minutes before closing, and the interior is very pretty. I'll probably go back this upcoming Saturday when I'm back in the area lol. read more

I was craving a Vietnamese coffee after picking up a bagel from down the street and this place came up. This is such a cute little place with Hawaiian vibes. The coffee was not what I was expecting as it wasn't as strong as I like my Vietnamese coffee to be. The staff is very friendly. I would go back but try something else. read more

absolutely enjoyed this place! the first thing we noticed was how spacious, and aesthetically pleasing the place was. many plants, seated areas, and lots of window windows for natural lighting. when i ordered the affogato latte, service was good as the person taking my order described what was in it -- especially since i'm not a big coffee person, so this was very helpful. while i waited, the vibe was enjoyable. it's definitely a great place to chat and chill with friends over coffee and small dishes, and even studying. when my drinks were ready, they had personally handed us our drinks and straws. the affogato latte was great -- sweet and creamy. read more

I cannot believe I did not know about this place sooner! It's spacious with 2-4 seat tables, bar stools and lounging chairs. So it's great for studying, WFH, lunch break, a date, or mom's time out. Which was all I saw people doing while I was there. They also have a printer available for free printing. How amazing is that!! They offer tea & coffee with some cool Hawaiian names. For food they have pastries and sandwiches available. I ordered one of their signature drinks, the Kailua latte (hot), as it already came with oat milk. It was nice & sweet enough as it came. I didn't have to add anything else to it. I also got their tuna salad sandwich on their telera bread and hunny it was sweet and delicious!!! I was not expecting that bit of sweetness in it. Almost like having the sweet relish in it but I didn't taste any relish. This was also my first time having telera bread. It was nice and soft. The service was excellent. The young lady was helpful with explaining the different options to me. They also had some light music playing in the background. This will definitely become one of my more frequent spots. read more

I went here for the first time. It's a beautiful coffee shop. I ordered the Aloha Latte and it was delicious. I will say if you come with a group it is crowded so come early and be prepared to wait in line. I didn't want to order food because of the crowd but I thought it was cool they had a variety of sushi, pastries, sandwiches and salads. The staff was very helpful and has good vibes here. definitely my go-to coffee place in cypress, although a lot more places are popping up, Kona coffee still holds a special place. I like to just get black coffee like their house coffee sometimes, maybe a cappuccino and just sit there and enjoy the vibes. clean bathroom, with a shared sink. great place to work with plenty of seating. also a little chilly so bring a sweater. plenty of parking as well. they have decent food options, since it is technically a cafe. If you like sweet/ blended coffee, check those things out, but I feel a little old with my black coffee. I think I want to have my next coffee date here. wanna come? read more

You had me at aloha I've been driving past Kona Reserve this week, and by the third day told myself I definitely need to stop by. I'm so glad I did! They've been open for about a month now, and I can tell they will become a neighborhood staple. The vibe was clean, chill, inviting, and just the right amount of plants. The background music was nice, but not distracting if you're trying to study. I saw a few girls working on their laptops so plenty of outlets and a couple tables of girlfriends catching up over their lattes. The baristas were friendly and helpful. I ordered their spam musibi and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived fresh and hot. I also got their popular Aloha Latte. I enjoyed it, and I can't wait to try their other drinks, I got my eye on the toffee mocha blended drink. I also need to bring my daughter to try their gelato. I was skeptical about trying Kona Reserve Coffee, as a self proclaimed coffee snob. I've been to Kona a few times, and even fell in love with one small coffee farm so much that I invested in them. Coffee. SNOB. I tried Kona Coffee Reserve and was very impressed! The service was friendly & knowledgeable. Inside was clean, light, and beautifully arranged. Most importantly - the coffee was what I knew and expected for REAL quality Hawaiian coffee! I went with pour overs of peaberry, special reserve, and a plain espresso over 2 separate visits. This place is now saved in my Yelp and Google guides because it hit the mark for everything I have come to expect in quality coffee brewed correctly and with care. If you're looking for coffee with tons of sugar syrups I can't help you or give an opinion. If you're on the hunt for superior quality coffee then this is your spot. read more

The building is beautifully decorated and the servers were pleasant. We ordered espresso drinks both hot and iced; both of which were unfortunately lacking coffee flavor. It seems as though they weren't properly brewed or maybe the coffee was old? We also had a muffin and spam misubi, both of those were delicious. I haven't tried their food yet, but I've come back three times after finding this place. The coffee is so good. A perfect mix of sweet and strong, and when I say sweet I mean well flavored without it being overpowering. I've had their Kailua latte twice and Matcha once. The matcha is pretty good, not too sweet, like a hint of sweetness. It was so good! The staff is genuinely so nice and patient with the customers. They're super sweet too with great recommendations (I have a super picky mom and she was recommended one of their drinks that had coconut milk). If I could, I'd go over to study there. It's a nice place, spacious between tables, calming with a hint of Hawaiian with their surfer vibe. read more

This place is horrible...for my WALLET! I love coming here to study/ journal, the atmosphere is so relaxing. The customer service is good too- they arnt overly talkative but they're polite and that's what I prefer. The coffee is also one of the best in the cypress area- i usually order my drinks with vanilla and it's the perfect balance of sweetness while still tasting the coffee. I come here at least twice a week and no other establishment has made me do that! read more

I finally had an opportunity to visit this place and quite honestly I'm upset I hadn't visited sooner. The decore and the ambiance is very calm and welcoming, I really enjoyed the decore. I also really like the variety of options that are available when it comes to food, drinks, pastries and snacks. I got the Vietnamese coffee that was great, both my kiddos got cake pops and watermelon gelato, let's just say nothing was left over. I will definitely be visiting again. read more
