    Hazelnut mocha and chocolate croissant
    Eugenia L.

I happened to be on this side of town and needing a place to work for a few hours. Found this place through google review and decided to give it a try. It's a small cozy place and very cute. I came during an unusually busy Thursday morning. The only cashier was taking orders and making the drinks so it was a little bit of a wait. I wasn't in a hurry so it was no big deal. Ordered a seasonal hazelnut mocha with extra shot, it was .. sweet. No complaints- I should have known but wanted to point it out anyways. I also ordered a chocolate croissant which they warmed up for me, it was very crispy. It was a pleasant surprise out in the burbs.

Cute spot, love that they have a patio! My only complaint is that I wish they had more pastry options.

honestly, I think this might be OUR coffee shop! this place is full of regulars, and it has a different vibe than other coffee shops in the area. like it feels like an Austin coffee shop. my first experience wasn't my favorite, I got some house made syrup that was banana hazelnut, but it taste very cardamommy. but I like the vibe and feel. so I came back and just ordered something really basic. which is what I normally order hehe. like latte or cappuccino, they do have a pastry case, but it looks like they sell out quickly depending on when you come. plenty of parking in the front and in the back, there's some greenery in the back where there is outdoor seating. they don't always update their IG page with hours, so you may have to just drive by and check. 10/10 would come back

    Left- dirty chai right- mocha

This was a super cute cafe. I came here with my aunt for some coffee and conversation. I went with a dirty chai with oat milk and she had a mocha. You order at the counter and then they bring it out to you when it's ready. Both were very good and had "latte art" on top. Inside is cozy with a decent amount of tables. I also noticed an outdoor patio which is beneficial, weather permitting of course! There was some food options available, which we did not try. I'd return when back in the area!

    Iced Matcha Latte!

I stopped by Cafe Zun Zun with a group of friends to grab some study fuel. We were in Cypress for the morning and the cafe had caught our eye as we were driving by. We were surprised by how cute the interior was and how delicious our drinks were. The baristas were friendly and kindly answered all our questions about the menu. After stealing some sips from my friend's delicious Zunzuncitos (cold brew, oat milk, and caramel syrup on ice), I got an iced matcha latte that was perfectly balanced. They used a ceremonial blend with no other added sweeteners - and it was delicious. I'm pretty picky about my matcha and would consider this cup from Cafe Zun Zun to be one of the best I've had in the Houston area! I don't frequent Cypress often but I'll definitely stop here the next time I do.

super chill space , nicely brewed/made tea and coffee. i had the london fog latte, it was nice. my friend had the espresso, it was good just make sure to ask for sweetener although the barista does ask if you would like to add anything to your drink. very polite and chill experience, will be back. nice place to study, get work done, or just chill

What a breath of fresh air in the Houston coffee scene, and more specifically in Cypress. This is a hidden gem third wave coffee shop that has an enticing menu, quality gesha coffee, great environment and vibe, outdoor seating, and everything is fresh roasted on site in their back room. I got a pour over geisha from Peru, which was fabulous as well as a Cortado, which did not disappoint. This is my new spot in Cypress!

We stumbled upon this place while in the area, and I only wish it were closer! It was so wonderful! I got the zunzuncito, which was a cold brew drink with oat milk foam and caramel, and it was the smoothest cold brew I think I've ever had, and without the bitterness cold brew tends to have. My friend got the matcha which was great as well! It was a little, very peaceful place, and the baristas were very kind. Only wish it were closer!

Honey lavender latte w/ oatmilk - 9.5/10 - $7 - So creamy and flavorful. I got 1/2 sweet and i thought it would be too bitter but it was perfect! Its rare for me to find a coffee shop thats aesthetic AND has good coffee but this place had both. I did think the price of the coffee for the size of the cup was high But its a great spot to do work at if youre in the area, they have plenty of outlets!

Firstly, I love, and I mean love, when a local coffee shop parks themselves in neighboring view of a Starbucks. This spot is no exception, if you need to study/wfh this side of Cypress, and are reading this from the Starbucks across the street, pack your thing and cross the street to Cafe ZunZun. Plants, peace, and great drinks, this spot boasts 3 of my personal favorite things (not to mention ample natural lighting...but that doesn't start with a p). The ZunZuncito is certainly made for the millennial. Being one I appreciate the oat milk foam! The chocolate croissant is as good as any other. They do offer pour overs, as well as French press and aeropress on brewed coffees for coffee enthusiasts, alongside creative lighter options (like seasonal pumpkin spice or mint matcha) and an extensive tea menu for everyone else! Some tidbits prior to visiting: *you can skip the line by preordering your drink *this eco-conscious coffee roaster began selling in farmers markets with a passion for the social impact of food and its ability to connect people across cultures *don't miss the plant partnership! Great cause!

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Given that weve had to give up so much in the coffee drinking experience we try and get what we do consume to taste as fresh as possible so weve turned to getting our decaf beans roasted locally. Weve tried a couple of places in Houston and just recently came across District Coffee. Once we checked their website and made sure it was swiss water processed and not bathed in paint stripper chemicals we decided to give them a try... the head roaster Alex is a humble guy who has a family operated business near the 249/Cypress area. I drove out to the District headquarters to pick up a pound of decaf and Alex gave me a tour around the facility which was modest, but professional. Before i left, Alex asked about the reason for decaf and i explained that we mix it with regular to create a half caff blend and with that he walked over to a bin in the shop and pulled out an additional bag of whole bean half caff blend of their signature roast and said it was "on the house" since i had come all the way out from the Sugar Land area. Wow. Now that was unexpected and also very nice considering gas costs near four bucks these days. We just had a pour over cup of that this morning and it was very, very smooth. If the regular whole bean decaf is anywhere close to the smoothness of this signature half caff roast we will most likely add District coffee to our regular rotation of coffees for our morning routine. Thanks Alex. Good luck to you and your family and we'll spread the word about your brand. Take care.
