Alex is the most professional piercer I have been to and you should absolutely choose this place and her! She pierced my nose and it was extremely well done with all the hygiene protocols etc. She also communicated with me afterwards regarding healing and she is clearly very experienced and well-trained in piercing issues. FANTASTIC - Got two cover-ups yesterday. Everyone is professional, polite and the place is super clean. Pricing is on the level, for what I got done and considering I really didn't have a cohesive concept so relied heavily on their artistic vision, I figured I'd wind up having to pay around $700. It was nowhere near that amount, for two cover-ups at once -- with color, I just knew I'd have to pay A LOT AND that it would take nearly 4-6 hrs. Not only was it affordable and looks AMAZING but only took about 2hrs. I am 100% satisfied. You have to come alone as only people getting work done or in for consult appointments are allowed in the studio. There's a non-refundable fee but you only pay that when you're ready to get on the scheduling books. The consult is free and they give you an idea of how much your work would cost. There was no pressure to schedule or up-selling or anything like that. Everyone was super friendly and funny. TV and music are on so there's plenty of entertainment. Be sure to bring cash for payments (there are two ATMs in the complex area). My work was done by Sarah Peca, one half of the married team who own and run the shop. Her and her husband, Chris, helped me with design and concept. They really brought life to the design idea and made it a true work of art. I see why this place stays busy. Quality work by awesomely creative artists for a great price AND quick, there's no other place to go. This place is worth traveling to and I'm glad I'm local because I know, the next tattoo, I will be coming back here. Sarah is the Queen of Tattoos! I finally have legit tatt work now. Wanted to love this place. I've been here before to potentially have my nose piercing switched out to gold jewelry. The day that I came I didn't see any white gold that I was in love with so I didn't get anything. Staff was friendly and all. So today, I decide to go because I actually want regular gold or rose gold. I called two hours before the shop closes, made sure the piercer was there, they said come before five (shop closes at 6) and there will be an hour wait. I said fine. Get there at 4:45 and was told the piercer is no longer doing any services. I can't get my nose jewelry switched out? Something that would take 5-10 minutes top and this would be after me purchasing one of your nose rings and happily waiting an hour? Waste of a drive. So, I am no longer a virgin to the ink. I said I'd never do one, but I did. I had done henna tattoos last summer and that was my foot in the door. I'll continue to do hennas and I may expand on this tat some time in the future. This decision was one I made for my 40th (Birthday) year. I do something outside of the box every year for personal enrichment. This was my experience. The artist was Stacy, she's Co-owner. I was referred to her by the owners of the nail salon I frequent. They too are tatted and have had Stacy's work. I was forewarned by both that the area of my tat is very sensitive and it would be painful. I was also told that although Stacy is talented & quick, she's heavy handed. I came mentally prepared. I popped my Motrin 20 mins before going and took a deep breath. To me, it wasn't comfortable but I wouldn't describe as painful. If you've had laser hair removal or microneedling or pain Mgmt injections, it's similar. I showed Stacy images I had gotten off the internet. From there she designed a stencil of the tat. I didn't know but, I could have done this process before my appointment via email and she we could have agreed on the stencil remotely. The process: Stacy was super friendly & patient. We checked & double check positioning & if I liked the symmetry or wanted more. The process took about 45 mins from the first touch of the needle to stop. The tat as is, is just fine but I may go back to expand on it with shading & thickness. I purposefully chose a location that's only seen on vacation or intimately. So, I can still be my professional self or stand in a wedding and be secretly tatted with zero visibility. Appointments take time. Don't expect to walk in. You do have to put down a cash non refundable deposit to hold your appointment. Something fancy, I was watching Real Housewives of Potomac, well Juan & Robin came to their shop & Stacy did their matching tats. Pretty cool, eh? read more

My friend and I both went and got cartilage piercings here a few months back. We called ahead to see about making appointment and we're told that the piercer was available right then if we wanted. We went in and got pierced that hour. The atmosphere at this place is great. My roommate was worried about the pain and everyone who was getting a tattoo at the type hyped her up as she went back to the piercing room. The room is nice, private, and super clean. The piercer did a great job on both myself and my roommate. If I want another piercing in the future I will definitely be coming back here. read more

After looking into the "Tattooed Hearts" in Hanover & feeling uneasy about the locked entry door and outlandish pricings, we went to check out Konkrete Jungle & found an open space parlor that didn't look secretive! Whew, thank goodness! We met Sarah there who welcomed us and was very friendly although what we wanted done (mere word or two) was so simple and inexpensive. I appreciated that. $60 cash deposit is required to set your appointment in case you try this place. They also charge a fee if you use a credit card to pay once your tattoo is done. Things to keep in mind. Since we didn't know ahead of time, I had to find an ATM to withdraw the deposit. An ATM is available, however, at the liquor store just next door. Definitely not a place to take a young child along since the people there cuss a lot. read more

I came in today to get two sparrows done , I wanted something that represented my husband and my daughter and the sparrows seemed like a perfect fit for me. When I walked in I was a ball of nerves but it quickly faded away , Gino was at the front desk and was asking me about what I wanted and getting details about size , placement and colors then he went back to get the prints to give me an idea of the size and then he gave those to Chris. Chris came over and asked more about what I wanted and about the sizes and the placement, he was focused on getting the best result for me and we went a little different than my original plan but I was perfectly fine with that because I trust his expertise. We went with a larger size and one on each shoulder to keep it more balanced. He put the outline on and made sure it was absolutely perfect. Chris was very attentive with making sure I was ok , especially since I told him I was worried about the possibility of getting light-headed . Once the outline was all finished I showed him my color swatches ( I used hair ties lol) and he was able to match my colors exactly. He showed me each bird as he was finished and I was blown away, he absolutely nailed the vision I had in my head with the colors and everything. My overall experience was just fantastic, everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable, they make you feel like you know them. Communication is big with me and I never felt like I was left out of any of the process and my questions were answered along the way. I have one piercing from Alex here (conch), and have referred 2 friends for a total of three piercings on them! I highly recommend the group at Koncrete Jungle. Though I don't have any tattoos, I've seen the artists at work and they are professional, clean, badass, and personable. Alex is their piercer and she's well informed on what works for your ear. She doesn't do a "car salesman" up sell on their pricier jewelry but will show it to you if you're interested. Prices are all reasonable as well. Alex is there Wed-Sun and doesn't take appointments. I really needed to get a piercing removed. I came in and spoke to guy at the front, who let me know that the piercer is with another client and will be with me soon. I waited for maybe 5 minutes before the piercer introduced herself and took me to the back room. She was very nice, asked me what I was in for and immediately explained the process and cost. Called last minute on a Sunday to see if Alex was free for a few piercings (2 cartilage, 2 lobe); she was busy with other walk-ins but she managed to squeeze me in so I recommend making an appointment! Alex was super sweet and professional; she was very thorough in explaining the cost, the pros/cons of the neometal jewelry, the process (she doesn't use a piercing gun, which I think is great because I've have poor piercing experiences with a piercing gun, and the way she does it is quick and not too painful), and the after care. As mentioned before, she had lots of walk-ins--people of all ages and backgrounds and piercing requests, so make an appointment ahead of time and bring a physical copy of your kid's birth certificate if you're coming in for them :-) I took it as a good sign so many people were willing to wait for her. Prices are super reasonable, in my humble opinion from previous experience . There's a 10% additional charge if you use credit card, but the guy at the front said there was an ATM machine nearby in the shopping center, so that's very nice of him. I went here to get a piercing done my Alex. Just the regular shmegular nostril. Fun fact ,I had this done before in NYC and I swore I'd never do it ever again because it hurt so damn much. The pain ricocheted from my nose to my eyebrows and from my darn eyebrows to my jaw. Talk about hitting a nerve! Anyway fast forward ,the darn thing never healed and it fell out and never went back in. So bleh. Eons later i decided to get the other side pierced because,like really,getting a nose piercing on the left nostril gets in the way during kissy time (not that I'm kissing anyone). This place was highly rated and so was the young lass Alex. Bingo bango. She pierced my nose skins and it hurt but it didn't hurt ANYWHERE NEAR AS BAD AS THE FIRST TIME! It's been 2 days. I got a set of earlobe piercings with Alex, and had a great experience. She spent a lot of time making sure they were in the right place, and explaining the process to me. She was very upfront about the total price for the earrings and piercings, and gave some great advice about what would look good. So I decided to come here after my friend said that she had come here for her nose piercing by Alex. I wanted to get something pierced so I decided to come as well. Walked in with no appointment and filled out the registration form. The staff was friendly and nothing short of being tattoo artist lol. Alex came out and asked what I wanted and went over the types of jewerly and we made a decision. She walked me to the back and showed me the materials and the pain level that I will experience also went over the after care.
