I just got a cover up tattoo done by Matt and I'm just amazed at how well it turned out. I'm so glad I switched from my normal artist. The shop itself is incredibly cool. It's not some low rent joint in a strip mall full of massage parlors and payday loan places. It's very clean and very unique. Matt gave me a price based on 3 hours of work. It took nearly 7 hours, but he still honored his price. I was impressed. He could have rushed through it and done work that would have been passable, but I felt he was as excited by the design as I was. He's a true artist who takes pride in his work. The detail he added is amazing. This tattoo looks better than the artwork I gave him to work from. This was my seventh tattoo. I've never really taken care of my others. It's not that I wasn't happy with them. I just didn't view them as being very artistic. This one will be getting the sunblock. To not take care of this ink would be like hanging a Monet in your garage. This shop may cost more than some others, but their work reflects that. Back when there were tattoo reality shows on television every night I knew people that spent $400 to get a shamrock tattooed on their foot in some high profile Las Vegas shop. I have had all of my tattoos over the past 14 years done at Ghost Town. Matt does amazing work and turns my weird ideas into to beautiful works of art. I'm a germophobe and this shop is immaculate. All my tattoos have healed beautifully and have stayed crisp and clean. My color ones are still just as vibrant 10+ years on. I've been wanting a tattoo of one of those little brown birds you see everywhere (house sparrows) on my left wrist for a long time but being a designers it was hard to give up control and trust someone to tattoo me. I finally went today and Jon Glessner gave me the most perfect little bird tattoo! The shop is super clean and is in a really cool historic building. In November of 2010 I had part of my half sleeve started at another tattoo shop in Elkridge. It was pretty intricate line work, and the artist rushed through it, leaving a tattoo that looked like I had it done 10 years ago at a tattoo party. I was very upset because he had done almost all of my tattoo work and was always pleased with him. I went a whole year with that crap on my arm until I made an appointment with Lee at Ghost Town. He has had to re-do every single line in the tattoo. It's not even halfway finished and it already looks amazing. I cannot wait to have him complete it and add on to my collection. Do not settle for other tattoo shops because of the cost GHOST TOWN IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I have friends who have seen the other artists and they have amazing pieces. Matt Rinks is the man. He's been working on a 3/4 sleeve cover up for me and he's been a pleasure to work with for over 3 years. I get stopped regularly by folks who seem to know more about art/tattoos than I do to compliment his work. His lines are as sharp as a tack and his shading is beautiful. I went to check out the shop to potentially have a previous tattoo touched up due to fading. My girlfriend and I sat down to look at the artists portfolios, after several minutes of reviewing pictures and artwork, I approached the front desk to ask the artist a question. The woman at the front desk informed the artist that I had a question. After seeing me, he casually walked by, no greeting and walked out of the shop. He returned to the shop and hurried to see my tattoo. He didn't bother to ask me exactly what I wanted to do regarding my tattoo and proceeded to tell me, "You should just get it covered up with other tattoos". Needless to say, my interaction with this individual was less than pleasant and I would never get a tattoo at this shop. Thanks Brent Williams for the horrible customer service. read more

Just had my only tattoo covered up by Matt! He did an awesome job and was very nice throughout the entire process, he kept checking to make sure I was ok which made me feel very relaxed throughout the entire process. I just wanted a simple tattoo of some roses to cover my original tattoo up and Matt came up with an amazing design. He has a lot of passion and is great at what he does. Everyone else at the shop was very nice as well and kept coming by to see how the tattoo was going. And everything was very clean! If you're looking to get tattooed I highly recommend Ghost Town, my only experience is with Matt and I can tell you for sure that he is amazing. I wasnt planning on getting a tattoo, but i called them all of a sudden and asked if they accept walk in customers. They said they did, and i immediately went to get one. Even though the design was simple, they still managed to make it look so good and im very happy with the results! The people are so nice and chill too. Went for my first tattoo earlier in the week and was a bit nervous. I made an appointment the week before so had plenty of time to get nervous. Easy to make appointment and the gentleman was knowledgeable and thorough explaining the entire process to me over the phone. Brent was my artist. Seeing that I'm over 50 and had never even stepped foot in a tattoo shop before I was pleasantly surprised. Brent went over everything in great detail, was extremely professional and serious about his work. The same gentleman who set up my appointment was also very nice, helpful and helped settle my nerves. Turns out it was so much easier than I thought.
