It was 87 inside the house, thank the Lord for frozen peas. Felt great on my head. Though the AC was under warranty would be a few days living on the sun before he could get it so I opted for the one available in his truck. Despite my location being a bit outside of their service area (north of Tampa), they accommodated me and even gave me an appointment after hours (6pm and later). This flexibility was immensely appreciated. Jairo was the main person who responded to my inquiry, while many other companies just had secretaries or robots respond to my inquiry. Being a Yelp user for many years, I know how to sift through companies that care more about volume than their customers. Jairo was honest, fair, and incredibly kind. Some companies would've given me a run for my money, playing on my lack of knowledge about outlets and what not. Jairo did nothing of the sort. He let me know that there was one main GFI that was controlling the rest, and helped me make an informed decision before deciding to replace it. He did the replacement in a matter of 10 minutes, and he even helped me remove a lightbulb that was far outside of my reach so that I could take it to Lowe's for a swap. So we shouldn't have been completely shocked when our electric went out on a Sunday morning in April 2021 & the main breaker to the house smelled like an electrical fire. Still, we were surprised, of course. Sorry, Yelp, my first thought was to check our neighborhood's Facebook group for recommendations. After two calls & no live person, I turned to Yelp, looking for electricians "open now". Sunrise had recently updated their Yelp listing with details and had a few good reviews, so I called them. Shelley answered the phone & was very helpful in assuring us that someone could come out that day. She took our information, and we did have to provide payment of $119 for the emergency service call. Communication was great afterward, which included both a text and phone call a couple hours later when our service tech was en route. Kevin actually arrived a bit earlier than the estimated arrival time and seemed incredibly knowledgeable. After looking at our main breaker box, he confirmed that it needed to be replaced, and that he would be able to replace it that day. He also advised that we would need a surge protector for the whole house, along with inspections & permits which he would be able to do as well for the quoted price. Many hours later, we had power again, with a new main breaker box. And I'm glad to have a house-wide surge protector. This was not a cheap repair/upgrade, and we were obviously unable to get other quotes or compare prices on a Sunday, but we're happy with the work done.
