Their communication is slow or non existent, took them over a month to finally install my AC once it was agreed upon. Once they finally came out to install it was poorly done. Their truck smashed into my garage on the day of installation and they did a poor job trying to fix the crack they created. They sent someone to install the system with very little experience (first day on the job) who wired it completely wrong and damaged my brand new AC system. The system malfunctioned, causing the heatstrip to be on every time my AC was on so not only could my house not cool very well, my electric bill was almost $600. Juan and company refused to stand behind THEIR mistakes and said "they have no way of knowing if it was the AC that caused the bill to be so high" when I have never in my life had an electric bill over $200. After they came out to fix it the bill went back down to $100, so it was obviously their fault. The electric usage jumped to 200+kwh/day on installation and went back down to 30kwh/day after they fixed it over a month later. This company is a complete joke, with horrible work that they do not stand behind. In the end, if you're paying thousands for a brand new system pay extra for a more reputable company that knows what they are doing and will give you the support your need. You will deeply regret going with this company that cuts corners and does everything as cheap as possible to save a few dollars. Who knows what other damage they did to my system. Don't let this happen to you.

When I first used Killian's service he was a one man shop who had just gotten a dedicated line for his business. Two years later he has teams and trucks. So often when a business grows quality suffers. That is NOT the case here, Killian maintains contact with his teams and brings his experience to every job even when he isn't here. His team found the issue and left with my AC working better than it has in a long time. BONUS: His prices were fair. He didn't overcharge, in fact he may have undercharged. In July 2026, technician from Harrington Air Conditioning came out for a "no cool" issue on my 2019 Trane straight cool system (air handler in the vertical hallway closer) Technician diagnosed a low refrigerant charge and a leak at the evaporator coil. He presented three options: * A) Just pay the $89 service call fee * B) Pay $408 to add R-410A refrigerant (which he said would get it running temporarily) * C) Pay $5,407 for a full evaporator coil replacement I chose option B to avoid the huge repair cost for now. After he added the refrigerant and charged the system to "factory specs," there was still no cooling at all. Technician casually said it would "take a couple hours to cool down" and left. Their after-hours service line is just an AI bot that promises a callback in the morning, which never came. No follow-up whatsoever. Frustrated, I called Pleasant Air Conditioning in Largo the next day. Their technician quickly diagnosed the real issue: my wall thermostat was faulty and causing the heating and cooling to fight each other at the same time. They replaced the thermostat, and cool air started blowing immediately. Harrington's technician completely misdiagnosed the problem, charged me $408 for unnecessary refrigerant, and provided zero follow-up. I felt taken advantage of, especially with that massive $5,400 coil replacement quote right after spotting a supposed leak. I would highly recommend staying far away from Harrington Air Conditioning. We were then presented with a proposed charge of $744. We were told the issue existed because we had not scheduled maintenance within six months, and so we were not covered by our pre-paid maintenance plan. The company indicated that a reminder call had been made, but if so, it occurred while I was recovering from surgery. I received no email reminders, text messages, or additional follow-up attempts, even though I received both text and email reminders of the appointments with Adam and Jacob. It was difficult to accept a proposed charge of approximately $744 for what was described as clearing a drain pan and drain line. This is a routine maintenance that the technician told us would take roughly 30 minutes, and needed no components nor supplies. This implies an hourly labor charge of $1488. I was willing to pay a reasonable amount and repeated that several times. As we questioned the proposed charge of $744 for a half hour of work, the technician called the office, and the discussion reached an impasse. Next, he walked out. No work was performed, and we were not charged because we declined the proposed service. I contacted management to discuss the situation and seek a reasonable resolution, but my calls and email were not answered. We saved Harrington money by not requesting prepaid maintenance. With that in mind, it would have been reasonable to simply perform the maintenance and, if necessary, charge us $100-$200 for the emergency service call.

As a customer, I expect transparency, accountability, and direct communication when issues arise. Matthew was particularly rude, dismissive, and inconsiderate of both my time and my wife's time throughout this process. We rearranged our schedules, waited on updates, and tried to be patient while issues were addressed, only to be met with poor communication and an apparent lack of concern for the inconvenience being caused. I entered this project in good faith based on the agreed-upon estimate. Being asked to absorb additional costs due to circumstances that appeared to be the company's responsibility was unacceptable. Rather than taking ownership of mistakes and delays, the burden was shifted to the customer. Do not use this company. If you do get everything in writing, and be prepared for the possibility that the price you agree to may not be the price you're later asked to pay. Update to Company Response Unfortunately, your latest message only reinforces the concerns I have expressed from the beginning. While you continue to explain why the delays, cost increases, and project issues occurred, you still refuse to take responsibility for them. As the customer, I hired your company--not your suppliers. Any issues with suppliers, pricing, availability, or project management ultimately fall under your responsibility. Those are risks that should be anticipated and managed by the contractor, not passed on to the customer after an estimate has been accepted and weeks of delays have already occurred. What stands out most is the complete lack of accountability. Rather than acknowledging the impact your decisions and project management had on your customer, every response attempts to redirect responsibility elsewhere. Being accountable is just as important as doing quality work. When problems arise, customers want to work with companies that own mistakes, communicate openly, and take responsibility for the outcome. Instead, your responses have consistently focused on explaining why none of this was your fault. That may be your position, but it is not one I agree with. Customers should be wary of doing business with any company that refuses to accept responsibility when things go wrong. The way a company handles mistakes and setbacks says far more about its professionalism than how it handles projects when everything goes according to plan.

Their guy left a major mess and after the job was "done" our upstairs was hotter than it had been before. No one from the company came out and actually inspected the shoddy work that was done. Lots of back and forth and broken promises on fixing the issues and getting our ductwork up to par, with ultimately one of the owners hanging up on me while he had a tech at our house and never answering my calls or texts again. The second owner eventually came out to try to smooth things over. They refunded us 30% of the job and went on their way. We had multiple other companies come out and finally found one with an actual duct expert who showed us multiple spots where the brand new ducts in the attic were torn wide open due to probably rushed and overall shoddy work. The ducts that were put in are also all undersized. So we paid for a job that is going to have to be 100% redone. We reached out to them again about the massive tears after having the ducts inspected with no response. Maybe OK for AC jobs based on other reviews but don't use them for duct work. The review that Michael Y left is more in line with our experience, lots of promises and excuses. Poor execution and finally a full drop off in communication. The idea behind their company is great and that is why we chose them. Our experience was awful and I hope they don't give others the runaround like they did to us.
