My wife's and my experience with making an appointment and meeting with our Social Security…read morerepresentative (Kiana) was outstanding. First, the gentleman who answered the appointment line was professional, courteous, and efficient. We called on a Wednesday morning and he was able to schedule get an appointment for us on Friday! We arrived at the CDA Social Security office about 15 minutes early to allow for check-in. We received our numbered ticket and only had to wait ten minutes until we met with Kiana. Kiana was professional, courteous, very personable and friendly. In addition, she was extremely patient in answering all of our questions and helping us with our request. TOP MARKS to Kiana! We appreciate how hard these representative work for us and we just wanted to express our appreciation for making this a positive and productive appointment!!

Never did get it back,though they lied and told me they gave it back. They never gave me any plastic garbage sandals to wear so I was FORCED to walk barefooted the whole time that I in booking and I have foot problems. Also I was forced to wear men's pants that were literally falling off of me. They don't give a s*** they treat you like you're an animal in a cage. No respect whatsoever for human life. And then there was this broad that was there for I don't know how many times from what I heard. In other words it's not her first rodeo. All I know is she doesn't know the difference between up and down right and left. Good thing some of us know when to keep our mouths shut otherwise there would be major problems

In the last 2 years after being diagnosed with cataracts, it was predicted that it would be…read moredegenerative progressively, and I recently feared that I would not be able to drive soon. A friend from church had recently finished surgery and was gushing about the experience, and he's not a gusher! I decided to follow in his footsteps, and reached out to the local Lions club to get an examination voucher, and then reached out to this commission and was introduced to Merrilee, the principal representative in Coeur d'Alene. Having had difficulties advocating for myself in the past with government entities, I was pleasantly shocked at how gracious she was and accommodating. She immediately started the process, and within a month was able to accommodate me. If my trepidation about advocating wasn't enough, My fear of having my eyeballs touched was worse! The government funding for this commission is a Godsend, the attitude and treatment by Merrilee was 'icing on the cake'. Not to mention, the procedure was like a spa experience, with a light show included! I can't say enough for the blessing this was to me and my family, a blind man that can see again! May God bless you and yours for the incredible work that is being accomplished. And my motto holds true once again, 'THIS is Idaho

If your late by 1min bam 100ticket and ppl are complaining about it all over the city . I have a permit where I park and also on the street it is 2hr parking. I had just pulled in my 2hr parking knowing it was 2hrs and hadn't even gotten out of my truck and the parking lady immediately parks in front of me and gets out of here little vehicle and walked to my window and I rolled it down she says this is 2hr parking. I said yeaaaa okay I know this and I also have a permit for the parking across the street I could move if you like over there knowing I had just pulled in the 2hr on the street.She says its 2hr parking here a 2nd time and takes a picture of my permit. I said uhhh okaaaay..She then returns a 3rd time and gives me a card to have to call her supervisor and takes a picture of my license plate. At this point I got out and said mam I already know this is 2hr parking and you literally wouldn't let me out of my truck because your trying to tell me about 2hr parking. At this point its been over 30mins talking to her and then having to call the supervisor and she tells me okay your good...I felt harassed and I can see how they can be shady. Like if you did this to everyone in CDA your going to lose tourists. Im giving the parking patrol a minus 1 review thats negative one because it was just too much and a waste of 30mins explaining to here I already know the rules haha. 3times she approached my window before I could even step out of my truck then pictures of my plates then comes back and takes pictures of my active permit. Your tourists are talking bad about you and I hear it and also can relate now. Terrible. Watch where you park ppl and dont be even 30seconds late because they will steal your money. I had to make sure she didnt send me a ticket because im ready to sue for harassment

Check. 4th of July fireworks? Check. A lovely park? Check. You get the idea. Maybe we could demote one star because the prices of houses are a tad high. We are in NORTHERN Idaho and anything goes, but this is still NOT, NOT a 1 star city. I could go with a 4.989 because sometimes the snow gets a little annoying.

Haven't been to a library since I was a kid, but this one was awesome! 2 stories and a really nice…read morefacility inside and out. The views outside the windows are spectacular and there's a lot for the kids! My son loved the Yoto stations and my daughter loved the play house. They both enjoyed the puzzle table too. They aren't old enough for computers yet, but there were plenty in there that kids were utilizing well. The bathroom was easily accessible and clean too.

Great library!…read more There is a children's library downstairs, and the adult library is upstairs. They have a good selection of books, they also use interlibrary loan so they can get other books that they don't have in-house delivered. They have a good selection of films, they even have video games which I haven't seen a lot of libraries that have that. They have a library of things, which means they have some small devices and appliances that you can check out and use. The librarians are really helpful and friendly. For the kids library downstairs they have a lot of really great events and toys and computers that the kids can use. It's also located right next to a park, so you can make a day of it, you can come and check out the library, then do a picnic, then play on the playground. So why four stars instead of five? Well, the public parking lot for the library has a time limit! And so if you spend too long here you will get a ticket. Other than that this library is pretty sweet.

this is a delightful historical jewel in the midst of a beautiful city. the museum is small, but…read morehas a clear focus and a very good exhibit. the panels are well designed and the artifacts explained well. thereis a very good overview of the mining and lumber industries and the strikes that brought notoriety to the area. the staff are exceptionally talented and very customer service oriented. the setting is nice because it is close to the public library. they have volunteers that help with the research. we found the experience a good introduction to northern idaho.

Parking can be tough, the parking area is multi purpose, but admission to the museum covers some parking time. Lots of information on mining, timber, prohibition in the area & the ice age. Ugh, how do you rate a department of motor vehicles?…read more Let's get the elephant out of the room, everybody hates the DMV. It's always a terrible experience. But why is a small town DMV like this so bad? First of all, they're super big on the appointments. They want you to schedule an appointment. So, I scheduled an appointment. Then I got there, and I still had to wait. What's the point of an appointment if you still have to wait? They also don't do walk-ins, there's technically a walk-in line, but I've been there in the morning where the walk-ins are full for the day. It's absolutely ridiculous and I don't mean to speak in complete hyperbole but I don't think it should be legal for a government institution to deny walk-ins. That being said, once I was finally seen by somebody, they were super friendly and helpful. I was able to do what I needed to do. I could do it all at one counter, which is always nice that you don't have to go to multiple locations in the same DMV. The parking lot to the south of the building is a total nightmare. So just be aware of that. For vehicle inspections you have to be parked in that parking lot, they will not cross the street, or leave that parking lot. So again, this DMV shouldn't be this bad, they are not this busy. However, the people that work there are all friendly and helpful.
