They talked about us on our ring doorbell with racist, hostile comments about myself and my husband and children. They even ficked us off! We have it all recorded. They never put in a full days worth of work, and brought their girlfriends to our home to sit and watch them work. He gave us great recommendations about where to put vents. When we scheduled, the girl at the desk offered us a promotion if we waited a few months which saved us quite a bit. On installation day, our install guy was here early, kept me informed as to what was happening and was done in about 3.5 hours. By himself. Our house is from 1928 and had original basement windows so I expected some issues. But our guy was such a pro- he removed every window in tact (I asked if I could keep them) and installed beautifully. I initially reached out for a simple request: a solid core bedroom and closet door in black. What followed was an emotionally draining process filled with delays, unclear expectations, and a final quote of $1,700--for just two doors--and painting the interior trim wasn't even included. Let me repeat that: For $1,700, I was still expected to paint the trim myself. What truly pushed this over the edge was their lack of communication. After I emailed to express my concerns and asked if there was any flexibility, I received no response. I gave them every opportunity to clarify or compromise, and they simply ignored it. For comparison, I received a full-service quote from Home Depot for $1,374.51, which included everything--installation and painting. I'll be attaching both quotes to this review so you can see the difference for yourself. I chose One Day Doors & Closets because I was hoping for a more polished, professional experience. Instead, I found myself paying more for less--and being left in the dark when I raised concerns. The service they advertise and the service they deliver are not aligned. In my opinion, this felt more like a sales tactic than a customer-focused business. Gino from Ohio doors came out and looked at the doors. Then we scheduled a day to go to the show room. He walked me thru the process and I picked out the doors and hardware that I liked. It took about 5 weeks for the doors to come in. The installation crew came out and took out the old doors and installed the new ones. I'm very pleased with the doors .
