Horrible company. Would give negative stars if possible…read more Due to space limitations we can't give full details or list all the problems, lies, or unprofessional business practices encountered but we'll give the highlights. Contracted with Hinckley Roofing to do tear off and roof replacement on small house. Subcontracted crew only tarped front of house and left other sides exposed. Majority of shingles and debris were thrown off sides and back, not front. Left excessive black marks on vinyl siding and large scratches/gouges on aluminum window trim where shingles hit. Only the front looked mostly okay because of tarp. Siding in very good condition prior to damage they caused. Showed us picture of front with tarp and lied about the rest being tarped until we shared video from security cameras showing shingles raining down against the siding. Their solution was to scrub each streak and power wash the siding, destroying the surface so there were glaring shiny and dull patches alternating across sides and back of house. This was unacceptable to us. Met with them again and were told if we gave it 6 months we wouldn't be able to tell; it would even out. Gave it 6 months and it looks worse. Roof cost just over $9,200. Bids from siding companies were all higher than that amount but Hinckley would only offer half the cost in credit for damages. Said anything more would be unfair to them. When we didn't accept their offer, we were told they'd put lien on house and we could work it out with their insurance company then. Deadline for filing valid lien had passed after so much time but they would file anyway. The only way we could get lien removed then would be to hire attorney and file a lawsuit to have lien invalidated. We opted to take their low offer and be done with them.

UPDATE January 2021: Somehow, Barnes Roofing managed to pull off a second miracle for me. I recently had a high-efficiency furnace installed, and the exhaust pipe from the old furnace needed removed. The HVAC team doesn't do that, as it involves roofing repairs. (I probably should have thought of this, but didn't. Lessons learned.) Anyhow - one call to Barnes Roofing, and my situation was resolved just over a week later. I can hardly believe they got this done in flipping January. Very grateful for companies like this!! Would give more than 5 stars if possible. December 2020: A friend recommended Barnes Roofing, and I am so glad I called them. I needed several gutter repairs done, along with a siding fix on a home I recently purchase. They came out to estimate the job immediately, and then an early winter set in shortly thereafter. I figured it would be spring/summer until Barnes could get to this work. To their credit, they managed to find an "open window" between snowstorms, windstorms, rain & ice, and managed to get my repairs done before winter! They did a terrific job, and I am very pleased. Then owner was nasty and argumentive and said unethical inappropriate things when the bill was questioned. Glad I recorded our phone calls and all texts are also saved just in case. Zero stars. So far okay with some rain we had, hopefully the roof was done right. The crew doing the work were good guys. There are so many companies that do this work. Use any other one after reading Google and Yelp reviews and maybe some other platforms first.

We've only had the roof for a week, but I waited until we had heavy rain to write this review. The roof held up well with no leaks or issues. It looks beautiful. We had to keep two box vents (instead of ridge vents) on one section of the house, and the box vents they installed match the color of the shingles, which was a nice touch. We got four estimates, and Price Rite was one of three that were in the same ballpark. We chose them in part because they offered the best warranty. They were transparent about potential additional costs when they did the tear-off and inspected for damaged wood. Once they started working, they told us how many panels needed to be replaced and the total cost before doing the work. They showed us pictures and invited us to climb up and see the damaged areas for ourselves. Ron was polite, respectful, and professional, and he was always quick to respond to a phone call or text. The installation crew was friendly and professional. They arrived on time and, although the job took longer than the one day that was planned, they returned the next morning and finished quickly. They covered our shrubbery with tarps and cleaned up thoroughly each day. We had no issues at all. Overall, we are pleased with Price Rite's work and would recommend them.
