Selah and Emily at the front desk were always very friendly, hospitable, and helpful in scheduling. It's a well-organized business and a great place to be! Spoke with Laurie - the office manager - who argued with me and would not let me speak to the owner…read more- Holly - Holly told me that they took Medicare - and so I contacted my Dr to get a prescription - When I called Laurie to confirm that the prescription was faxed over - she said that the prescription was not received- I went to the Dr and picked up the prescription and then went to the Therapy office to drop off the prescription - Laurie took the prescription and was not communicative - when she would not respond to me - I opted to leave and call the following day to set up an appointment. When I called back - again, Laurie was uncommunicative. And she said that they did not take my insurance, whereby she wanted to argue about what had happened the day before. I asked to speak to Holly - the owner - and was refused. I would not have spent an hour to go to my Dr and then over to their office, had I been told that they didn't take my insurance.

This office is a great option if you are not wanting to bill insurance. Practitioner knowledge and results from my assessment continue to be positive. While I continue to have decent results from the assessment and recommendation of Dr Valenzuela, it was the office experience related to billing that garnered this not so fab review. I was a cash patient recommended to her office by another practitioner. I needed the superbill with the Dx codes on it to submit to my insurance company for reimbursement as this office doesn't work directly with insurance. I have asked for this code on the receipt from my last visit three times now since mid December and received no reply. At one point, I was told by Dr Emily that if I book my appts, the DX code isn't on the superbill, but if she books it, it is. Why is their a "book online" option on their website if she wants to book the appts? Furthermore, I paid her over $400 and am only asking for a Dx code for the last visit. It takes less than 5 minutes to add this to the superbill! Her last reply to me is and I quote. "We are a cash base business, because what we do in our clinic is generally not covered by insurance. So sorry we couldn't be of more help. The best thing I can do in the future is recommend getting an HSA insurance plan. You put money into an account that you can use for services such as mine or your chiropractor and then your insurance premiums are lower. Good luck" The HSA is a great suggestion but not attainable for me at this time. I did end up getting partial reimbursement for the initial visit from my insurance, and I know others who have these services covered by their insurance, they just have to bill and need the Dx code! Not a big ask when you are charging $225 for the initial visit and $90 for follow ups! Sheesh! I have since found another practitioner who does what this office does and does bill insurance and is super easy to work with. As sad as it is for me to give this review, the lack of response from Dr Emily speaks for itself.

However I had never really honed in on my thyroid health and fertility and wanted to prior to conceiving as I was anxious that it would be impossible to get pregnant due to my diagnosis, or would take longer than most. I also knew that if I was to become pregnant, my risk of miscarriage was much higher. Therefore both my husband and I started to see Emily regularly about 8 months prior to when we wanted to start trying. She took me through the CellCore supplement program where I detoxed from heavy metals, parasites, viruses (all big triggers for autoimmune disease) and more, and additionally worked on my thryoid and adrenals with acupuncture. Within a few months I started to feel huge changes, my skin cleared up, my hair stopped falling out, my brain fog had dissipated and I felt so good and really prepared to try for a baby. The first time we "tried" and weren't even really trying we got pregnant. I honestly was in shock and beyond excited. I am now in my 35th week of pregnancy and been seeing Dr. Valenzuela regularly to ensure baby "stuck" and that baby and I have both remained healthy throughout. I haven't had any tiredness or weird symptoms that most people complain of during pregnancy and I have to credit regular acupuncture treatments with her. In the last 6 months I also started seeing Morena for pelvic floor physical therapy. There are not many options for pelvic floor around and it takes a certain person to be able to heal you, help you recover and teach you about the part of your body. Imagine soon after finding out you were finally pregnant, you then find out in the 2nd trimester that your baby has a severe abnormal body anomaly and has no chance of survival. Imagine these losses occurring 7 times and trying to pick yourself up from the guilt and pain over and over again. It can be hard for even the strongest woman. Insert Megan (after my 5th loss). Megan, Megan. Through the hardest and most challenging times in my life (and now the best), both physically and emotionally, Megan has been there to support me. Right when she walks into the room, I feel like I am about to start my therapy session from outside in. And, as I lay down for treatment, an incredible calmness washes over me. No matter how crazy, terrible, or even great my day has been, the times I spend on her table are always where I find the most peace. She just has that 'thing' that puts you at ease and heals you. Megan has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. I now have two beautiful little ones because of her support -- really. She is a miracle worker - and not just for fertility. I have counted on her, even recently, to help get me through cold season because I had gotten sick 4 times within 3 months. Once I started seeing her again, I am proud to say, I haven't been since!
