I was really excited to try this place because I just moved here and there aren't really any Korean stores to buy items I need to make Korean food or at least I haven't found them yet. I ordered the spicy chicken meal with sides and a chicken bowl. I was not impressed. The serving size was very small for the price. For sides I was expecting a variety of banchan, but they were all basically kimchi, just different varieties in the tiniest (salsa sized) containers, and they were not that good. I had to add vegetables and other stuff to the chicken just to make it more appeasing. The eggrolls were the smallest I've ever seen and they were okay, not great. So happy I found this gem in Tulare! My girlfriend and I were passing through on our way back to LA and were craving something fresh and delicious. We got bibimbap bowls and they were so good!! The sides were also great, I loved the kimchi and Korean potato salad! I also must add that the service was great. Today I came in with some friends specifically for their new KDogs (Korean corndogs) and we were not disappointed. The batter is so soft and fluffy on the inside, and perfectly crispy on the outside. Dusted with cheese and sugar you get a perfect balance of sweet and savory, finished with a little acidic tang from the ketchup! If you're a sucker for "cheese-pulls" this is the dish for you! The KDog is half cheese (top) and half sausage (bottom), so you get the best of both! I highly recommend trying one yourself! We were on our way back from a couple nights in Yosemite and missing Asian food so even though we just had breakfast 2 hours prior, we made a stop here today (about 12 hours ago). It's a small restaurant in a strip plaza anchored by a giant Target but don't let that fool you in thinking the food is not authentic or delicious, it's both! We ordered the soybean paste stew, tofu/beef stew, fried chicken rice, and another chicken rice. The soups were piping hot, hearty and yummy -- salt level just right. Didn't think the portions were small, it was normal sized and price was reasonable. What stood out the most was the banchan -- the small accompaniment dishes like the potato salad, perilla leaves, kimchi, and daikon. I got the bulgogi rice bowl and my boyfriend got the kimchi fried rice. The bulgogi itself was delicious but the rice underneath was a bit on the bland side. They gave us a side of kimchi to go with it and that helped a lot but I wish the rice came a little more flavored since there aren't enough meat juices to counteract it. The kimchi fried rice on the other hand was really good! The seasoning and textures were just right and the fried egg on top was cooked perfectly and added a rich silky texture.
