I have never been spoken to by a manager like that in my entire life. His name is Alan Doo. I received a phone call from him about a serving position and told me to come train and he didn't have to interview me. When I called to follow up the next day he said he didn't know who I was even though we had a 15 minute phone call and then yelled at me and then he hung up on me. So then I called the actual location instead and not his personal cell phone number that he had given me and he yelled at me again. Saying "you seem to not know what it means when I don't want to be bothered!!!" And then hung up on me again. I've worked in the restaurant for years as a host, sever, and bartender and I've never been talked to by a manager/Owner in my life. To be a manager/owner you truly need to know the true meaning of good customer service but he definitely lacked that. How are you supposed to grow a team if you talk to employees like that? read more

I've always loved this place for their delicious bulgogi! Today I ordered delivery on their website, but they closed for an hour before the delivery person could pick it up. Doordash canceled the order since the store was close. Yet, they still went out of their way to deliver it to me. The food was fresh and hot even though it had been awhile. I'm so grateful. We have dined in and ordered take-out from here many times in the past few years. Our latest order was terrible - portion sizes decreased tremendously and food was way too salty and lacked flavor at the same time. They most definitely changed the meat and the sauce. Nothing tastes the same. The presentation of the food within the to-go and everything altogether was clear evidence management has stopped caring. We are all for supporting local businesses, but this will definitely be the last time we eat here. read more

Pictures on menu from DoorDash were not accurate with product received. If I would've known it came with all the side dishes and not what the picture depicted (rice & chicken) I would have selected the option for extra meat.. disappointed with quantity of chicken and the rice was hard. Staff from restaurant Sheryl called me back after I called the restaurant to ask about the inconsistency of picture on DoorDash. Needless to say she was very unprofessional. She sounded like she wanted to argue. She said she wanted me to come in so she could show me how the pictures on DoorDash showed what we received. A bit disappointed on what transpired. I had a soda and soup. My total was $28.12. I gave the waitress $40. She returned after some time and put $8 on the table, said that's all the change she had, and walked away before I could say anything. I wish she would have said something instead of addressing the issue that way. I would have told her not to worry and would have given her the rest. The service wasn't great but I understand some frustrations that come with working in a restaurant. I don't think she handled that situation well at all. read more

This is hands down my favorite Korean place now. I love how flavorful the beef bulgogi was and their Kimbap. I also didn't have to wait too long for my order. They also had boba milk teas there, which was so refreshing. The staff also made our first experience more enjoyable. They were accommodating for our children and even were nice enough to take our pictures. I'm really glad this is nearby whenever I get a craving for good Korean food. Yum just yum. We just got Doordash delivered and everything was very very good - kinda pricy but good. We got japche, bulgolgi, dumplings and of course Kimbob (always my fav) Everything was fresh and yummy. Minus one star because everything was a bit cold and I wish I would have maintained its heat a bit better! We have never really experienced Korean food until a few months ago and fell in love in a different state. We decided we needed a fav place close to home! We heard about this place from a local, he told us it was the best! We so agree. We came in for lunch and it was pretty busy, but they are doing such a great job of keeping people separate and distancing. The employees were so sweet. We ordered a few things to try, we ordered the Dolsot Bibimbap in the hot pot, WOW the crispy rice on the bottom was so good, the Beef Bulgogi was so tender and flavorful, the Kimbap was full of delicious veggies and the veggie pancake was crispy and full of love. Tried Korean Garden for the first time the other week and decided to get their bulgogi lunch special and spicy seafood tofu soup. They were both delicious and flavorful! This is our "go to" Korean restaurant when we're craving korean food; besides it's less than a mile from us. The food has always been pretty good although the prices had gone up since the pandemic. They only have one server and she has her hands full with less than 10 customers and a couple of people waiting for their orders to go. We ordered the LA Kalbi and Galbitang (+cabbage). The kalbi was good as expected but there's something off about the Galbitang. The soup was really bland, smelled a bit slimy and the short ribs were falling off the bone; and did not come with the extra cabbage that I ordered. It was not the usual freshness that you get with beef broth. I asked the server to take it back to the kitchen. The server asked if I wanted a new order but I declined since I figured it will also be using the same meat and broth base. The server was was apologetic but informed us that she cannot take the Galbitang order from the bill. I paid for the FULL order and asked the server to tell the owner/cook to have a taste of the food that was sent back. I guess Korean Garden just lost a couple of regular customers..... :( read more

I ordered food from Korean Garden for the first time, and it was delicious! It's a little on the expensive side, but the portions are huge (at least, the sundubu jjigae was) and the ingredients high quality, so I think it's worth it. Next time, I'll try their bibimbap, and if it's as good as the sundubu was, I think I found my new Korean restaurant in town! (Oh, and ALL of their kimchi was fabulous, and I'm picky about my kimchi!) read more

Been coming here for years. I don't know if they've had a change of management, or the current management is trying to make up for costs, but the quality and service has gone down. I ordered from them via DoorDash an item listed on their DoorDash menu for $19.99. A couple minutes later, I received an email saying that the food price was adjusted and they charged me $5 more (at this point I had already received an email that the order was being worked on). I go in to look at the cost breakdown, and my bulgogi fries were $25!!! I tried to cancel it and I couldn't because the Dasher had picked up the order a minute after that change was done. What a scam!! Take that $5 and shove it up your a**! Will not be returning here ever again, and will be sharing this experience across all review platforms. Here's a tip for the owners, if you have different prices for DoorDash than you do for in-store customers, then make sure those prices are reflected from the start. I was excited to see a Korean spot on Dublin and Marksheffel! There is a new strip center here with a liquor store and, so far, this is the only place to eat in this section of town which could be good for business with all these new houses right here. This new place was HOPPING on a Friday afternoon at noon. 15 places to sit, 10 were full and there were four people waiting in line to order food. Service was slow, but I give them credit for being new, quite busy, and I'm sure still ironing out the kinks. The two people handling the front of house, an older Korean lady and a 30's something fellow were really hustling, but it was 40 minutes from the time I walked in until the time I got served. This wouldn't be good if I were on a lunch break. I ordered the Spicy Bulgogi lunch for $8.99, to compare with the other Korean places I've tried in town. The serving size was a good portion. I wouldn't say it was spicy as much as... maybe oniony? I like onions but they kind of left a weird flavor to the meat, for me. Tender but maybe a mealy texture? I don't know what you call the sides in Korean, but the most flavorful part of the meal for me was the dumplings, which shouldn't be the star of my meal. The cucumber that was supposed to be spicy had several pieces that were bitter. The bean sprouts were oddly flavored and sour. Didn't add any yumminess to my meal. There were these other small cold square things that seemed like egg that weren't appealing and mushy. My overall impression is that I thought the food was OK, but not great and no definitely no wow factor. Even though it's so close, I personally would prefer to drive across town for better flavor. I heard two people leaving and one said "I'll definitely go back there again" and I also saw a party of three that walked out disgusted with their food, so obviously peoples tastes differ. Korean Garden is the best Korean Food I have had this far in Colorado Springs this far. I ordered several Korean BBQ meat entrees (Beef Bulgogi (regular & spicy) and Spicy Pork) and Japchae Noodles. All meats were very good, if you are trying to decide between the regular or spicy Beef Bulgogi I suggest the spicy, it's not really hot but has more flavor. We also ordered regular and grape Soju, I highly recommend the grape. The service was excellent. The staff accommodated my request for Fish Cakes even though it's not a standard condiment they serve. If you enjoy or would like to try Korean Food I highly recommend Korean Garden. I will definitely visit again. read more

At first I was hesitant about this place and thought it wouldn't be authentic but I was pleasantly surprised. I forget the name of the savory clear broth soup I had but it had a strong black pepper flavor with tender beef short ribs. My wife's kimchi soup was spicy and flavorful. I wish I could browse their dinner menu to see their prices because I was a bit surprised with what they charged me. The price for glass noodles and a kids meal was $22.71 which I paid for over the phone prior to picking up. We drove into town late last night from out of state and this was the closest place I knew of. It was convenient and it was on my list to try anyway. I ordered Japchae and a kid's Bulgogi to-go since the lady advised they were closing in 15 minutes -which was fine, of course. The food was good and was more than enough to satisfy me and my two children. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a third styrofoam clamshell which contained six ban chan. Ordered takeout to cure a hangover and what do I order? Soup of course. Yuk gae jang to be exact. A medium spicy blend tender shredded beef, mushrooms, gosari (a mountain fern that's dried and rehydrated), and an egg dropped in. I always add tofu. It's the perfect savory thick stew to coat my stomach after a night of partying. Their sides surprised me. I actually prefer how they serve radish in thin slices rather then the cubes, their bean sprouts had the perfect hint of sesame oil and I think their pickles are my favorite from any korean restaurant I've tried. Pretty amazing food! We got the japchae, dukbokki and shredded beef soup (yukajang? sp?). Everything tasted delicious and came with just enough banchans. I've loved this place since they opened last year but I love them even more for still providing amazing food and service through take out during this pandemic quarantine time. Easily took my order over the phone, I provided payment on the phone too, and the take out was ready at the front of the restaurant. I happened to be next door getting buzzed on good beer at JAKs, but after researching this menu I couldn't say no to the Bulgogi Fries. Could not have had a better dish to accompany my beers. So, needless to say, I'm only rating the food and the (brief) service I had with the one staff member I encountered. I walked in and was visibly shaking because the bulgogi fries sounded so delicious and I had trouble being patient & couldn't think of anything but those fries in my belly. The lady running the register was friendly and said she would bring my food over to us next door - which was awesome of her! I did review the rest of the menu, having been to a few dozen other Korean restaurants in town, and the prices seemed to be pretty in line with the other menus I've perused here over the years - not sure where the 'overpriced' comments arise from? The bulgogi fries were everything I could have hoped for. Simple but absolutely hit the spot. Crispy fries, excellent marinade on the bulgogi, cheese, sriracha, and green onion. And that's it. As a Korean, I truly enjoyed Korean Garden. The good and hospitality were amazing. I went with a group of 8 during lunch and may have overwhelmed the staff, but the food was totally worth the wait. Great new spot in the Springs. I'm always searching for new Korean places in town and this place earns an honorable mention! Authentic food served by real ajumas in a friendly atmosphere. I tried the doenjang jigae and mandu guk and loved both. Both dishes were just like the meals I grew up with. The ban chan are small but there's a great variety and you can ask for more. The prices are comparable to other Korean places but overall fair for the large portions. Homey atmosphere paired with great soups will keep me coming back for more. read more
