I was visiting Colorado Springs and I wanted to have some sushi. There was a small sushi place near my daughter's house so we decided to go there. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and seated immediately. The waitress was delightful and the ambience was intimate and charming. The establishment had some of the most eclectic music selection I have ever heard in a very long time. Onto the food... the sushi seem to be fresh and there was a good selection to choose from. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked inside. Everything was orderly and clean and very lovely. Our sweet server was Andie who was attentive and caring and friendly. We recently checked this place out and wow it was amazing! The prices are pretty decent too. The bento box comes with 2 or 3 items that you pick. We got mixed tempura, gyoza and spicy tuna roll. There were about 6 pieces of tempura including shrimp which I found to be super generous and value for money. It tasted pretty good overall. The daiyo roll came with shrimp tempura, salmon and tuna, cucumber and avocado I think. There was so much I can't fully remember. Either way it was really good, I highly recommend! It came with 9 pieces. The highlight for me though, was the sashimi! I just wanted an order of it so I asked for it and the waiter said it comes with 2 pieces so we ordered 2 orders of salmon sashimi. As pictured, an order is way more than 2 pieces. The best part is that an order of sashimi is only $5.50. You seriously cannot get cheaper sashimi than that in the States!! The fish was so fresh too especially for Colorado standards. The last few times I've been here things have been disappointing. When we first started coming there, everything was great. My mom got the beef bulgogi. The last time and it was pretty fatty and sinews. The chicken teriyaki has also been questionable a few times. The sushi though is really good. I'm not sure what happened to the weight staff. Truth be told there is a Texas owned sushi restaurant chain that I get a specific tempura roll from and their sauces are the best I've tasted. So I search for a similar roll and sauces to taste just as good from other places, and I'm usually let down. This time the roll actually beat my favorite from the other restaurant. The flavors just melded so well with it. My partner's only complaint is his eel had a couple bones on the dragon roll. Hopefully the establishment is more careful with that. read more

Dined there last night and my husband found a long black hair in his scoop of steamed rice right on top. If that wasn't gross enough the waiter came back after the owner brought out a new plate (hair free) of food and said that the owner asked him if we put the hair on the food ourselves. I have been in the food service industry and would have never treated a customer this way let alone accuse them of tampering with the food (also a side note none of us have black hair). We were never apologized to for the food or the accusation that we put the hair in the rice. We will never go here again which is too bad since the actual food is good when there's no hair in it! read more
