Following a shoulder injury, my wife was referred to PT Pros by our primary health manager…read more Unfortunately, my wife was misled and deceived by the staff at PT Pros in Leitchfield regarding copayments. She inquired and attempted to pay and was advised that she did not have subsequent copays. The therapy received produced no results and the staff advised her that a 'few more visits" attempting a different approach might help. She was advised that those visits would be covered by our insurance. In pain and willing to try anything to alleviate her shoulder issues, my wife agreed and continued the therapy. The therapy did not help and my wife was subsequently referred to an orthopedic specialist. Then came the surprise. Despite the fact that PT Pros advised my wife that there were no subsequent copays, we later received a bill for $420 (a copay per visit). I attempted to clarify this with the billing section from PT Pros and was given a very rationalistic and deceptive explanation (I recorded all calls and will happily share them with anybody that requests them) Their final stance was that it is the "patient's responsibility" to ensure they understand the billing and copay requirements. (Oddly enough, my wife DID inquire was told by the staff at PT Pros that we did NOT owe anything). I will pay their bill and strongly caution anybody that needs physical therapy to ensure they understand that the administrative staff at Leitchfield PT Pros will smile and tell you one thing and a month later you'll get an unexpected bill.

Thank you to Ian and all the staff that were to help me during my visits. I would definitely recommend PT Pros for your Physical Therapy and rehab needs caused by injury or from recovering from any surgery or any other ailments.

Incompetent provider. Malicious person. Arrogant yet inept. Self-righteousness overrides any…read moreethical compunction that might lie buried. Although he works with WKU Athletics, there's no one I've spoken to at Western (my employer) who thinks well of him. Of the 4 other orthopaedic surgeons I've seen, all have been compassionate, educational, listeners who are skilled in their occupations. Until this person - Dr. God. I wish zero stars was a viable rating. I scheduled with him for a simple, common knee aspiration - "water on the knee". I have had it done 5 times in the past. It a simple, quick pain-free procedure. I had an appt on Monday but left without the aspiration. He came in after looking at the xray and suggested a steroid pack and ice for 20 minutes 6x a day. I told him I usually got the fluid removed and pulled up my pants legs to show him my actual knees. He glanced at them and said he saw no excess fluid. Later that night, I decided I really wanted immediate relief in my knee rather that taking a systemic steroid regimen for a localized problem. Tuesday morning, I went to the practice's walk-in clinic to see about having just any intern or other doctor available to do the extraction. But I was told I needed to schedule with Cha again. Wednesday, when he came into the small exam room, where I was standing, he said "hey", stood a foot from me and stared me down. I broke the uncomfortable silence by saying "how are ya" and telling him I decided I wanted the aspiration. He did not sanitize the area, sprayed a freeze spray for a 2 second count which, evidently, had no effect and stuck the 4 inch needle in. I tried to endure the pain but things got elevated fast b/c it hurt quite a bit, I could feel every jab he made. He insisted there was nothing coming out (which, I believe, was because he intentionally inserted the needle incorrectly and never pulled the syringe plunger back) as he pinched the pocket of fluid and kept jabbing the needle against my patella bone. He told me, "I do this all the time." I finally had him take it out when I realized the situation wasn't going to get better. He seemed intent on causing me physical pain and definitely not extracting any fluid in order to prove me wrong. Either that was his motive, or he can't successful perform the most basic procedure learned early in ortho training. Today, Friday, I went to another orthopedic surgeon and again easily, painlessly had 25 cc of synovial fluid removed from my knee. Malempati broke his hippocratic oath to cause no harm. I didn't nothing to offend the man. I believe, though, he intentionally caused me pain to punish me. He actively engaged in both malpractice and malfeasance in my case. Doubtfully the first time he's done this.

Dr. Malempati is the best. I highly recommend him he did my ACL reconstruction surgery.read more

Scheduling the appointment was fairly easy, got one within a week from the day I called. They even mailed out a packet for me to fill out before my appointment. Arriving to my appointment was abit confusing. The Cool Spring plaza has a couple of HMH family care doctors. This particular one is located in the front of Cool Springs (facing ring road). I parked in the back of Cool Springs, behind this office. I signed in and set up my insurance and other info they needed. I was surprised to have a wait time about 20 minutes. The waiting room was super spacious and a couple of Tvs on and some reading material. Once called back, did normal check up and meet and greet with my Dr and was on my way. Super easy check out and made way to the lab literally a couple of doors down. They were super quick and efficient. I was in and out of there less than 10 minutes. Let's see how it goes when I am sick.

The medical assistant told us we would be seen next because there was only one patient before us. At 2:45 we had not been seen by a doctor or NP. We decided to leave. Every room we passed by was empty and everyone was standing back talking and yet not one person asked if we needed help. Disgusting practice!! I will never take my granddaughter there again. This was the 2nd time a mistake and or neglect was made concerning my granddaughter . I'm reporting today's episode to Baptist Health Patient Advocate.
