I think there are at least eight doctors that are in this practice with a variety of orthopedic specialties. Additionally there's an excellent group of x-ray technicians that very capably take your needed x-rays at the time of your doctor appointment. They are instantly ready to be viewed by your doctor. The patient alone is escorted in for x-rays and then returned to the waiting room for anyone that may be accompanying you to your doctor appointment. There are a variety of chairs in the waiting room including some tall seats to make all patients comfortable while waiting for your appointment. The front office staff are quite efficient and if you do the pre-registration on your cell phone prior to your appointment you will only have one page to sign. You may be caught off guard when you walk in and see so many patients waiting but don't panic. There is more than one doctor seeing them all and some are there just to get an injection that doesn't take much of the doctor's time. I can't exclaim enough with how happy I am with this practice and specifically with my physician Dr. Reid Brown. If you need a Knee Replacement, Hip Replacement or Pelvic surgery he is the one to see! Five stars all the way from start to finish when other doctor's did not think there was an option for my condition.

Assigned to Dr. Price, his nurse had an unfriendly personality even though I had preregistered online with all the info she was upset I didn't have my medicines list to verify what was in my registration. I said aw man, I forgot to grab the list, but I filled it out online. Well you don't have to get upset with me she said with a firm hostility, I'm not upset at all. Just concerned I won't remember my meds is all. They were in my file the whole time? Then Dr. Price bolted into the room briefly asked what was going on, cut me off while I was talking, told me he didn't see anything on the x-ray to match with the pain I was having. Most doctor's smoothly slowly exam range of motion during the leg exam, NO! He rapidly shoved my legs back as if to play with a young child. Extremely painful, but he had already made his mind up that I wasn't having any issue. I was wearing a skirt he didn't bother covering me up as he flailed my legs around in the air even thought I had asked for covering! I asked did he view the MRI imaging that my other specialist saw issues? Extremely arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful. Really spoke down to me as if I were crazy and not in extreme pain. As he roughly shoved around on my back during his brief exam I explained I was having a spinal fusion surgery and disc removed in my lower neck, he scoffed as if I didn't need that either. Tried quickly telling him I had severe pain in lower back and possible fusion there as well, but he cut me off again so I wasn't allowed to explain that either. THREE TIMES he shoved where my other damaged disc was that's pinching on the nerves!!! I was gasping for air and instantly sobbing as he told me that's where my hip pain was coming from. AGAIN my spine specialist saw in the MRI and showed me where my hip bone was pushed over rubbing bone on bone in the socket. He left the room, I hobbled over to be sick from the pain HE INDUCED then took my next muscle relaxer. He comes in to see me picking up my leg then dropping it when I walk he cockily asked WHY ARE YOU WALKING LIKE THAT? You need to bend your knee, no wonder you are in pain, AS IF I'm causing this debilitating pain! Like it's my fault? Through my tears I try to explain it hurt moving the joint around, this has been the only way I have been able to survive throughout the day with the pain. He finally admits to seeing what the other two doctor's saw, didn't give me a treatment plan, my options, nothing! Offered a shot in my hip, I'm still trying to collect myself and in shock that a supposed top notch doctor couldn't be so condescending and pompous to his patients, but I now see he has 12 other poor online reviews over the years stating the same exact situation and character. Well done you want the treatment or not?! I really wanted to bolt out of there but my children need me back to some kind of working order and my other surgeries are approaching. He finally gives me a gown but hikes my skirt all the way up and my panties down vs just pulling both down a little bit from the top as I requested. He doesn't sterilize the area, slowly put the needle in but it was very painful. His nurse suited him as she was just as rude and abrupt as he was looking at me as if I were petty, I hear her from the hallway, all needles are uncomfortable. Didn't bother telling me what to expect from the injection, treatment plan ...nothing! DON'T PAY "THE PRICE" go anywhere else but here!

I was afraid to allow anyone to do surgery, because I had crashed, they had slapped a cast on me, & sent me home in Hardin county. I ended up with bedsores, one took my heel. My orthopedic kept saying my ankle moving to the top of my foot was arthritis, I finally went for a 2nd opinion, the doctor right away sent me to a specialist, right across from my home, he xrayed it, looked at it, oh my foot was swelling so badly, I had a rod & 3 pins in my leg, he said, making you an appointment with Dr. Hockenbury. I was scared, but have great faith in God, I did ask dr. Hockenbury if he believed in God, he looked at me sort of funny, but said yes. I finally said ok, I couldn't walk, didn't have a choice, he ended up taking the rod & pins out...yes they hurt so badly, & I called it sliced & diced my foot & leg until he was finished. He used a method on my ankle that he invented, I was impressed. He did tell me I would drag my leg when I was out of the bed in 126 days, but I didn't, & I could move my foot & shouldn't have been able to, he asked if I minded if a couple of doctors took a look, this was the final cast off, & walking time, I was thrilled, they were amazed. I'm giving the glory to God, & Dr. Hockenbury for being used by God. He is terrific, haven't seen him in a while, age is slipping up on me, need some help, so I'm calling Dr. Hockenbury!!!!

I moved to Louisville from Michigan and fell in apartment hall and needed foot surgery. Did not know one doctor in Louisville so called a highly recommended physicial who was not taking new patinets nor any new medicare patients as I had just retired. Their office mentioned Dr. Hockenbury since he had been an army doctor. So I went and to the day I die will be so sorry I did. I saw and he said I needed surgery which required brake in foot and big toes. Have bones fused and screws in foot, all which I believe was necessary. Started with after surgery visits, most time saw assistant which just took x rays and never looked at food which was in a brace for 5 months. Dr. Hockenbury came in a few times but always with an intern, to whom he did all the talking never to me nor my family. End results 5 months later when was told to buy a shoes and start walking on foot only to find, I am now considered handicapp. Yes my big toe is shorter than all the others but that is not the problem it is raised about the foot since the bone is now set. I asked Dr. Hockenbury about it and he said, evidently I did not bend the medal plate that is moon shaped down enough. I said what and his comment back to me "well I could not have you stand up during surgery" Never sorry. Said does it hurt in shoe and I answered NO and his comment "Well then my surgery was a success". As the result of NOT having a big toe that touches floor, to give support to walking etc. I have balance problems and have to have pieces in my shoes like life for just big toes, but does not help in middle of night when you get up to go to bathroom, which happened to me when I fell and had a concussion that took me a year to get over. Have had 3 additional falls and gait in walking is now off, all of which I will have for the rest of my life. I have been told by several other foot doctors that if had been checked while healing could have been correction by taking care of toe before the bone grew and got stronger. Could have another surgery but would require breaking foot and reconstruction and take 1 year before could walk on it. But recommended not to do it at my age. I have learned to forgive Dr. Hockenbury but think others need to be WARNED before going under knife with Dr. Hockenbury. He is more interested in bragging about his vacations and getting pat on backs from Interns from my experience than me as a patient. Could not even say He was sorry for his mistake. Which legally we can do nothing about. SAD but TRUE

I've seen Kate and Dr comptom for " Pain management " for…read morethe past few yrs. They are both very good -- I have no C/o about them . But worst office I've ever worked with. Can't get anything scheduled-- no one ever calls you back. I play the game I was told to play -- go in every 3 months to make it easy to get me scheduled for when I do need an epidural-- what a joke -- they called me last week to finally schedule an epidural I was supposed to get in November-- never happened. Then I got diagnosed with endometrial cancer/ had surgery before they even got back to me about scheduling epidural. Told them I can't drive now ( 1 week post op) and don't want epidural right now while recovering but could I get a refill on gabapentin due to back pain with no epidural. Wouldn't do it-- since I haven't had a refill in 3 yrs. I often go mths without taking it --but I have to come in for a drug test --be seen-- again. Just saw me 6 wks ago. Then Kate told me to just ask another doctor to send-- maybe my PCP. Wow-- i guess since I figured it was a pain management prescription that id call pain management first. Well-- after 2 weeks of trying to get them to return my calls about the refill (office finally called this am to say no) I decided to take kates advice and call PCP. Even though hasn't seen me in 6 MONTHS he was willing to send. So I have to think that there are better pain management practices out there. Doesn't matter how good your providers are if the practice is this poorly run. I know I need to start looking around--
