Store front and a line to get in.
Ward K.

If you are into K-pop, K-Dramas, or just Korean things, then this might be the place for you. They have items like books, mugs, and pins, among other things of your favorite bands from BTS, Black Pink to K-Dramas like Attorney Woo, Crash Landing on You, and Business Proposal. Yes, we watch K-Dramas as well as other Asian ones, too. Do you want to learn Korean? They have books to help you learn. You want traditional items like wedding ducks, jewelry boxes, chopsticks, and so on. They have a whole cabinet in the back of the store. This place was so packed that they had to make a line to get in. You know it's legit when you see and hear people speaking Korean and girls getting all giddy looking at all their so-called idols.

When I was here, they were having a 50% off sale on a lot of k-pop albums! This is a great deal, but keep in mind that the original prices were more than usual to begin with. A lot of them ranged from $28-$40. As you enter the store, it looks like all they sell is kpop albums and merchandise... but they actually have books in Hangul too! My boyfriend likes to read Korean novels, so we spent a lot of time here! We price checked a couple of the books and it seems a lot of them are $2 less what you'd find on Amazon! Good deals! Reasonably priced. If you're looking for Korean books or books translated into Korean, this is a great place to checkout.

Welcome to K-Pop Heaven! My daughter is a huge K-Pop fan (Stray Kids is her favorite group) so when I saw this store, I had to stop in. They sell all kinds of merchandise: albums, posters, t-shirts, mugs, tumblers, keychains, stickers, calendars, books, charms, etc. I spent nearly $100 and got 2 tumblers and a keychain.

If you are a BTS fan and/or Korean books + culture fan, look no further, Koryo is the spot where you can find most of those you want. They have a large selection of BTS merchandise, Korean books, and other cute things. Pricing are mostly reasonable. The cashiers are mainly gathered behind cash register so we didn't request any service. The interior of the store is pretty clean and very well organized. Definitely check this place out when you are in K-town.

This place is great if you love Kpop or have a Kpop lovin kid in your life. They have a huge selection of merch and albums. While BTS is clearly the popular favorite, you can find many lesser known groups here as well. A win for me because she dislikes BTS. Books to the left. Merch to the right. Albums in the back. The stuff is a little pricey, but hey, you're in NYC and this isn't Amazon

This bookstore/K-pop shop has plenty of well stocked merchandise for any fanatics of the Korean wave. From the popular BTS to Black Pink items to K-drama memorabilia. I found my BT21 key chain here (So Cute!), very pricey for a small key chain- but I liked it. Store also has a wide range of Korean comics and books- easy to breeze through at a glance. I didn't really browse through the other aisles, since I was overly excited to see my favorite Korean dramas' cups all stacked together in a row- the inner fandom in me gave a little shout. Overall, a great store to find popular K-pop items.

One stop shopping for your K-pop fan. Lots of stickers, banners, and stuff, oh my! If you stan BTS, this is your place. They had offerings from other K-pop groups, but I didn't notice anything featuring Lay who was in town for the Metamoon festival.

I love this store because it have such a variety of Kpop albums and books at such an affordable price. You also can buy really cute accessories there too. I love to come here to go album shopping

I'll Karyo books for you if you want... but I won't Koryo Books, unless I have a lot of spare money. Super adorable Korean bookstore in Koreatown Manhattan which is one of my favorite little stops when I'm wandering around the most exciting street in Manhattan (arguably) and need a change of pace. I could eat a lot of food and drink a lot of drink on this street, but this bookstore is a nice place to relax and chill out. I don't read Korean or Mandarin or anything like that but I really appreciate having a totally different culture right before my eyes - and that's what New York City is all about. So the only reason I don't give 5 stars is because of the prices.

Koryo Bookstore is a big shop in K-Town of Manhattan. This bookstore has been here forever and back in my day was filled with Fly to the Sky, Brown Eyes, Yoo Seung Jun and FinKL. Long gone are the days of my youth and now there is a ton of BTS merchandise for all you young KPop fans. It's overpriced but such if life when this music memorabilia is imported into the states. This shop is just completely filled with books in Hangul which is great when buying books for friend's parents or friends' kids! I ended up buying a board book on my latest trip to NYC for my friend's daughter. It was $13 and I swear it was the cheapest children's book I could find - eek! We had gone in hoping to find Obama's books in Koreans for some people in our lives but didn't have any luck. Can you find books & memorabilia cheaper online? Sure! But in a pinch and in terms of a brick & mortar store, Koryo gets the job done.

I visited this Koryo bookstore which is smacked right in the middle of 32nd st in K-town. The prices here are very expensive, if you are familar with the price of albumns. Nearly every item is $10-30 higher than other cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, or Vegas. If you know, you know. I get it the rent here is much higher than the cities listed above, but I think the owner will get more sales if they are only $5 more expensive than the cities listed above. I am very familar with albumns of various group and the prices, and I also know how much similar aespa and twice albumn cost in South Korea and Taiwan.

However; the reason why I'm writing this update is because there are some changes at the store. Firstly; the large "Information Desk" at the rear of the first floor is no longer there. Instead, there's a small one on the right side of that floor (and it's almost hidden). Secondly; the huge first floor display of beautiful photo books of NYC and environs is now much smaller (although it seemed like there were more of them on the lower level than previously). There's also another change; the restrooms are now only accessible with a code, and a code can only be obtained via a receipt - so if you don't buy anything, you can't use the restroom (I ordered some books online later, since I didn't want to lug them home from the store). Further; employees don't have access to a bathroom code (obviously they have some other way to access the restrooms). I was there for a few hours - and if it wasn't for the fact that I had a dental appointment nearby afterwards, it would have been problematic. Having said that, I do realize that the restroom situation is an issue; at the Union Square store in particular, there used to be a big problem with homeless people and undoubtedly a corporate decision was made. I'm still keeping a five-star rating because of the employees and because the store has a great selection.

I brought in three statue items unopened in the original packaging. I checked on ebay for what the items sold for (not asking price but sold price) and it added up to about $600, I lugged the items over there and had to leave them there because they wouldn't get to them right away. The people/kids working there were very nice. I went to have lunch and got the text to return, and they are offering $150. So I picked up the items and turned down the offer. Again, they were very nice, it's just I wasn't willing to accept 25% of the value. I figured at worst it would be 50%. But I am better off getting closer to the actual price on ebay. Now, Buying. Lots of very expensive and exiting things to get, and I didn't have time to price check things so much, but my son is into the Nintendo switch and i spotted a used Marvel VS Capcom game he might like. It was $34.95. But just in case, I pulled up Amazon and looked the game up. A brand new one costs $21.79. So it would have been a terrible idea for me to buy it there. I guess if you are leaving work and need a quick gift, you might stop in and pay too much for an item. If you are in real trouble and don't have time to wait for an Ebay sale, you might consider selling your collectables for 25% the value, this place might come in handy.

It's the biggest breath of fresh air to find a rare book store owned by a woman, and to be treated like a human being. I normally get side-eyed from rare bookstore owners and some of the conversations I've had sound like: "May I see the Portrait of a Lady in the case?" "All of these books are at least $100.00 and up." ".....I know." "Do you have any Wilde?" "The book about the woman hiking alone? That's too new to be in our shop, Barnes & Noble would have it."
