Seriously- can't go wrong by sitting outside or inside here! For bring in a Blaise strip mall... this family run authentic Greek restaurant manages to feel homey yet sophisticated enough to charm any foodie. A delight for all ages!

Very nice and attentive server. From the minute we came through the door and until the end. Beer and wine only with some twists on wine type cocktails. Beer on tap had great choices. Had to try the spanakopita and it didn't disappoint. Fresh, warm, and light/flaky crust. Big serving for an appetizer. Cretan salad was good. Came with pita bread. Chicken pita was the best of the bunch. The sauce was delish! Sweet potato fries were on the cold side which was disappointing. Want to try some of their entrees before giving them a fifth star.

Kosta's continues to bring great food and service. Stopping in for a late lunch my husband enjoyed the salmon and dill sauce and I enjoyed the lemon herb char broiled chicken. We started with the lemon rice chicken soup. It is lovely. Light and flavorful it brings me back for more every time Desert, well the bougotsa of course!! Creamy custard wrapped in crispy phyllo and topped with beautiful cherry sauce. So delicious and not too heavy. Perfect ending of our meal.... Oh, yes!! We were delighted to meet the owner Gus Kosta and watch him work the room as he met and greeted his patrons. I love to see restaurateurs enjoy meeting and greeting spreading their love of good food and appreciation to loyal customers and new customers. Great restaurant!!

We went back to Costa's Taverna recently and the 5 stars held true! Truly a fabulous restaurant and our new go-to restaurant. Food: 5/5. Again, the food was spectacular. I got the Moussaka again since I loved it last time and crave it at least once a month. I really like to try new things, so you know it is really, really good if I order it again. My husband got the lamb yeero. He said it was amazing! The fries were excellent as well. Service: 5/5. We had a different waitress this time, just as great as the waitress from last time. Very attentive and a calming energy. Atmosphere: 5/5. A comfy, cozy establishment that always feel welcoming and warm. The setting takes you to Greece and everything is always very clean. Kid friendly: 4/5. We didn't take our kids this time, however we have in the past and the staff was very friendly with our daughter.

What a fantastic meal with incredible service. We visited Boise State University with my son this day and had a fantastic dinner with some wonderful friends, old and new. The food couldn't have been any better, and like I mentioned above The service WAS EXCELLENT! Looking forward to visiting again from California. Thank you very much.

Tonight our basket of fries, $6, was woefully under cooked and under seasoned. The two rice bowls, lamb ($23.99) and gyro ($16 or $17.99), were just bad. The rice was at least two days old and pasty, and had no lemon flavor. It shrunk away from the walls of the container as though it were dessicated. The gyro meat was in small shreds, as though the cook were trying to make the meat go further and the amount of gyro and lamb meat was at least 1/3 of what it used to be. Tomatoes used to be cut in wedges were now inconsistent, thin slices. And the onions weren't sliced anymore but diced small and dropped in a small patch of the tray. The BFG had a "weird flavor" as though something was old, but the pita was very good--and for the increased price, should have been better. As one who has been to Greece twice, I did used to enjoy a "taste of Athens" regularly, but the consistency issues are too much for a to-go order topping $77 with tip.

A friend of mine practically lives here- every other day, like clockwork- and the last time I joined, he ordered a full mezze-style spread that felt straight out of the Mediterranean coast: impossibly creamy hummus, cool and garlicky tzatziki, perfectly seasoned kebabs, fresh veggies, warm pita... dish after dish, each one better than the last. This is a casual, no-frills kind of place- so don't come expecting anything overly polished or upscale. The missing star from others? It's purely about the ambiance. But the food? That's a full five. What really shines is the quality, the authenticity, and the consistency. Everything tastes fresh, vibrant, and nourishing- the kind of meal that feels both indulgent and genuinely good for you. Add in friendly, welcoming service, and it's easy to see why people keep coming back.

Oh Kabob House... where have you been all my life??…read more Seriously, how have you been open for 8 years and I'm just now finding you? My husband and I found this place completely by accident. We were craving gyros and drove over to what used to be Gyro Shack on Emerald. I had almost suggested going to a different location because I didn't want to deal with the traffic, but we ended up on Emerald anyway. Lo and behold... Gyro Shack was gone. So there we are, hungry, staring at the building. "Well... should we try Kabob House?" Eh, what the heck. OMG. BEST. HAPPY. ACCIDENT. We went in around 1:00 on a Saturday, and I'll be honest... it was empty, which made me a little nervous. But everyone was so welcoming, and it smelled AMAZING in there, so we figured we'd give it a shot. Best decision. We started with the lentil soup, and I am not exaggerating when I say I would come back just for the soup. It's that good. Warm, comforting, healthy, full of flavor... just soul food. Do not skip it. We also ordered the salad, which was super fresh with an amazing dressing on the side, and shared the lamb kabobs. The portion was huge, the lamb was delicious, and can we talk about the rice for a second? I don't know what they put in it, but I could have eaten a bowl of just the rice. They also brought us a complimentary homemade cucumber yogurt dish (I can't remember what it's called), and it was so good. This was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. When we got home, I looked them up on Yelp because I couldn't believe a place this good had been sitting there for eight years without me knowing about it. Sure enough, the reviews were fantastic. So if you happen to stop by and it looks quiet like it did when we were there, don't let that scare you off. Clearly lots of people have already figured out what we just discovered. In fact, we loved it so much that we brought friends back the very next day. Sunday lunch was definitely busier than Saturday, which honestly made me happy because this place deserves to be busy. The owner, Shams, actually remembered us from the day before and even gave my husband a hug. That kind of hospitality is so genuine and just made us love the place even more. This time we ordered the lentil soup (again... because obviously), butter chicken with rice, and a giant naan with hummus for the table. There was so much food we barely had room for it on the table. Kabob House is one of those places you almost don't want to tell people about because it feels like you've discovered a secret... but it's way too good not to share. Amazing food, generous portions, warm hospitality, and a really nice atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back. (And yes... I'll be ordering the lentil soup again.)
