I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.

Communicating via text was so helpful as I was coordinating the repairs while working, and he made everything so seamless! I will definitely be using Tapia Auto for all my needs going forward!

So many times, people are quick to place a review when they get bad service and not enough to…read morebusinesses that do GREAT service! With that said, I only wish there was a HIGHER score I can give to Maricopa Auto. Every time you walk into the building you get greeted with a smile and feel welcomed. I've been a satisfied customer for over 5 years. It is so refreshing to find a company that truly believes in customer service. My crazy story: Short version of course: Worked for a company for over 10 yrs, Company sold and gave me 1 weeks' notice. Started working for a new job. Tore my rotator cuff, had complete shoulder replacement. I left that company due to illegal activity being done before I worked there. Had an accident and totaled my car. All was done within 5 months. I tell you this to help you understand the care Roman takes to help people get into a vehicle. Anyone else would have said: "No, can't help you". Not Roman! I walked in, picked out my car, he found me financing, and I drove away 1 hour later. My car has warrant coverage AND they do the mechanic work ON SITE! BUT WAIT, THERES MORE: I brought my car in for repair. Nick took the time to not only have my car fixed in 2 days but, he kept the price down by searching for the part at a better price. I know this review seems a bit lengthy, I feel, it is worth my time to let you know about a staff that cares about their customers and about their city. I probably sound like a commercial for Maricopa Auto LOL. If so, I will hold the billboard proudly! Thank you again Maricopa Auto!

The first time, my battery died in the Fry's parking lot. I called them and a guy came out right away. He performed a test and sure enough diagnosed a dead battery. He towed my SUV to his shop. He removed the old battery and replaced it with a new one that had a warranty for 36 months. Afterwards, I signed the paperwork and paid my bill, I was on my way! Fast forward to today, my car was intermittently starting when I tried to start it. I think my battery was almost dead. I managed to get it started and drove to Iconic tire. The same guy who came out to my car last time is the same guy serving me today. He's a very nice soft spoken gentleman. He immediately took the time to serve me and diagnosed a dead battery. He checked his inventory and located a replacement battery. It was expediently replaced. As my battery was only 29 months into my 36 month warranty, I expected a prorated price towards my new battery. But the tech explained it wasn't their policy. My battery was FREE! The only thing I had to pay was labor to install it. A mere $50.00! The only other stipulation was the new battery was only warranted to the date of the old battery. No problemo! I received a new battery! I just love this place!

BUYER BEWARE! BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS, PREDATORY SALES METHODS, AND DISHONESTY…read more I helped facilitate a tire replacement for my elderly mother and worked with Kevin. He promised a "buy 3 get 1 free" deal on tires available "same day." While I found the tires cheaper elsewhere, Kevin promised to include an oil change, alignment, rotations, and flat repairs for the life of the tires to earn our business. Kevin was extremely aggressive to "close" the sale, calling me repeatedly from different numbers while I was in meetings. Once we arrived at the Maricopa location, the lack of transparency became disturbing. Kevin presented a write-up packed with undisclosed "up-charges" that were never discussed. We were forced to pay for: *Labor for discarding old tires (even though I took the tires myself) *Motor Vehicle Tire Waste Fees *Electronic balance and stem labor *A "protection plan" *Shop supply charges *Tire nitrogen fill fee per tire When I contested the $44 nitrogen charge and asked for regular air, Kevin claimed he couldn't honor the "deal" unless I paid for all the extra "crap." The "free" 4th tire was essentially paid for by these itemized nonsense fees. He clearly expected my elderly mother to sign without me reviewing the invoice. The dishonesty continued with the service. Kevin initially promised the alignment was included. When we picked up the car, he claimed it "didn't need one" but provided no proof. When I pressed, he changed his story, saying they were too busy and told me to call to schedule a Saturday appointment. When I called to schedule for the following Saturday, he claimed they don't do Saturday appointments and then tried to charge me $109-$119 for the alignment that was supposed to be free. This was a complete bait-and-switch. From the aggressive sales tactics to the hidden fees and the retracted promises regarding the alignment, this was the most unethical experience I've had. I cannot speak for the whole staff, but Kevin's tactics are borderline illegal and predatory. Especially towards my elderly mother. Do not take your business here. We have many other local shops in Maricopa that probably operate with better integrity. I am shocked this location has a high rating given these sketchy, dishonest practices. I will be sharing this experience on every platform possible to warn others.

From the moment I arrived, I experienced more grace, courtesy, and honesty than almost any place of business I've visited; nevertheless, any other auto place. There was a troubling, high-pitched chirping sound coming from the hood of my car. First, I went to Triple A, and they charged me over $100 just for a simple sound check and then quoted me $5,000 for "necessary repairs." Thankfully, my friend told me about Faithworks. I drove over 40 minutes the next day, and when I arrived, the owners greeted me and answered all my questions. They quickly identified my car's problems (needed new strut assemblies and suspension control arms), quoted me a much fairer price and broke down the individual charges, which I happily accepted. With no ride back, I asked if I could stay until repairs finished, and they said yes. The owner, Samuel, made sure I was comfortable and even offered me food. Since the repairs took longer than expected, they gave me a discount and the option to use their company vehicle until the next day. I was overwhelmed with their kindness. In the end, I left with my car in great shape, the chirping sound gone, and they even ordered me a new key fob free of charge! It's experiences like this that inspire people to be kinder to others in their own lives. Thank you, Faithworks Transmission!
