We had…read moresuch a great experience with Farnsworth from beginning sign-up to Izzy getting her tadpole report card and lollipop. ;) Coming into The swim school early June, Izzy was very scared of the water and would not put her face in at all. She cried the first lesson and wanted to get out of the pool. Jaynie and the teachers are very patient with the kids , but also know how to keep them in the water through the crying to get them to a more comfortable place. I love their approach and how they focused on technique first (big arms, blowing bubbles, strong kicks), and progressed to teaching a little more each day. Leena was Izzy's instructor for 2 of the sessions and I was blown away by what she could do by the end! She was able to go under, touch the bottom of the pool, hold her breath for a few seconds at a time, jump in and go under, and float on her back for a few seconds. Izzy gained a lot of confidence in her swimming this summer. She told me each day she was excited to go in, get rings and put her head under. Most all of this is to Leena's credit. She is so positive and engaging, and is really great at building trust and swim technique. She may not know how to swim alone yet, but by next summer I'm sure she will be able to! ;) Thank you Farnham!

    This gym is small but packed with equipment, which is definitely a plus. The problem is that for a…read moremajor chain gym located in a city as wealthy as Morgan Hill, this place feels extremely outdated and overdue for some serious upgrades. It's 2026 and members are still trying to awkwardly tilt water bottles under an old drinking fountain because there's no proper bottle filling station. Most of the treadmills are outdated, several screens just display static, and the stair climber that's been out of service looks like it's been sitting broken for close to a year. The bathrooms also badly need a facelift. To be fair, the gym does seem clean overall, and this review is absolutely not directed at the staff. They do a great job keeping the place as clean and organized as they can. This is more of a negative reflection on the company itself and the lack of investment into the facility. What's especially disappointing is that I've been to the Anytime Fitness in Oakhurst -- literally in the middle of nowhere -- and it's far more modern and up to date than this location. For a Bay Area gym, this place just doesn't come close to the standard you'd expect.

    2nd EDIT: I see…read morecustomer service has finally responded to my review. I call BS on the district manager trying to get a hold of me. I NEVER received a phone call. How were they trying to get a hold of me, smoke signals? Carrier pigeon? And I requested to change to a paid in full membership at least 2 weeks BEFORE the deal expired. DON'T TRY TO MAKE ME LOOK STUPID. YOU'RE COMPLETELY MISREPRESENTING THE SITUATION. The problem was with the pain in the ass way memberships at this gym work and the fact that I had to cancel my current membership via e-mail before signing up for the yearly membership. Unless Luke is a liar, he has to admit that I spoke to him MORE THAN ONCE about changing my membership BEFORE Black Friday. Nor did he ever iterate that it was a Black Friday special. I even called the Gilroy location to see about switching my membership over there and was told that I would have to cancel my membership at Morgan Hill first. The girl I spoke to said that she would speak to management and someone would call me back. Guess what? NO PHONE CALL. AGAIN I SAY, SCREW THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES. It's obvious that Anytime Fitness could give 2 shits about customer service. Also, when I initially joined I thought I was signing up for a single month. Luke didn't tell me that it was a recurring $60 per month membership and that you have to cancel via e-mail. When I e-mailed to cancel I noticed that they still charged me for another month. When I called to ask them why they charged me when I had cancelled, I was told that there was a 30 day grace period on cancellation. What kind of crap is that? So if you sign up for a single month, they're going to get you for at least 2 months because you have to give them 30 days before they cancel your membership. And they need to change the hours listed on the door because Luke NEVER stays until 7pm like the hours say. The latest I've seen him stay is 6:30pm. In fact, today (Friday), he bailed out at 5:30!!! The hours need to say 9am - whenever the hell Luke feels like it. EDIT: So after calling the headquarters of the company that owns Anytime Fitness MULTIPLE times, (I spoke to at least 3 different people and told them my issue with getting screwed out of a membership deal), they basically told me to kick rocks. Most of the time when you call the 800 number no one even picks up the phone. But the few times I did actually get to speak to a person, I told them my situation and they said they would have a manager get back to me. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK!!! It was on the 5th time that I called to get an answer that the woman I spoke to said that there was a note in the file that the special had expired and there was nothing they could do. So this company obviously doesn't give a shit about its customers. All Anytime Fitness wants to do is take your money. Screw this company! Interesting that when you scroll through the reviews, the owner only seems to respond to the positive ones. Further proof that this company has no idea what customer service means.
