Buffets always just kind of creeped me out from all the people that come into contact with the food and the uncertainty of not knowing how long things have been sitting there for. Well this experience solidified that in weird ways... it was time for dessert and they had ice cream as I was walking over to the ice cream station I see a little boy about 7 years old helping himself to ice cream with no adult assistance near by. I see him take the ice cream scoop and start using that as his personal spoon I immediately notified the staff and they were on it right away! They bought out brand new tUbs of each flavor and now I'll only eat ice cream from a Buffet if it is fresh overall good experience! I actually looked at some ratings of this place on yelp.. I haven't trusted Chinese food for over a year now.. I always see or hear something that gross me out. After a Hard work out at the gym, I ask my partner to accompany me to this random place and believe me it was hard to convince her because of her taste of eating establishments, I must say the prices for lunch was on point for two people and the buffet style has very nice selection not typical... A variety of items I never tried before, my partner all ready had her plate in hand, before I could blink my eyes and all she could do was complement every dish she picked to eat... Please be aware that the buffet food was no way near hot. It was lukewarm to cold at best. I did tell the staff but they were argumentative. I have been to this place before and it has always been pretty good, I started going when they opened and have been a few times, with no complaints. I am just worried someone will get ill by eating hot food that is not hot. She told me that they don't make it too hot because fried food does not keep the breading well if it is too hot. Terrible! My Friday night visit was A Disaster from start to finish. Staff was friendly and attentive but food was not fresh. Lobster tray which they refused to replenish tasted like it was left over from previous day. Decided to come here for lunch with my wife. Came in right at opening. Place is large and comfortable. Sushi is good, wouldn't say outstanding. There were not signs over the food saying what they were. You know what fried rice and eggplant in garlic sauce is. Did notice on first time up the food was warm not hot. Very surprised for coming in right at opening. The curry chicken is very good as well the Singapore noodles. Hibachi was standard. Huge issue with desserts. Nothing was sugar free. The carrot cake was stale, there was some kind of mousse cake that was ok. They did have coffee ice cream. I know they just opened but there are some things to work out. Excellent new sushi buffet In Coral Springs. They have a huge assortment of specialty rolls, Chinese food, and hibachi. The sushi chef was very helpful, he spent time telling us about the different rolls and even let us know what his favorites were. The sushi and seafood options were fresh and delicious. This is probably the worst buffet I've ever had, even compared to the cheaper places. For context, it was a Saturday evening well before closing. All of the sushi was stale and gross. Most of the hot food was terrible too. Even the fried rice wasn't good. I wasn't expecting normal restaurant quality, but this place was sad... Does not have uni like pictured. Waitress said they no longer have uni but this restaurant just opened not awhile ago. What a let down. Sushi is just okay. Not worth the price. I have been to Kouyou twice for lunch and have enjoyed both meals. Specifically, I really enjoyed the muscles, the tuna lover sushi and especially the hibachi with shrimp. I got some fried rice from the buffet and mixed it after I was served. The food is fresh, tastes great, and the service is better than expected. I tried this buffet for my birthday lunch with my family. It was absolutely delicious. Had a vibrant and spacious setting with booths and tables. Sushi was fresh and had a variety to choose from including sashimi. Their hot food selection was very tasty from their beef with broccoli to orange chicken to their lo mein and fried rice. Also have a hibachi grill but I did not get to try it out. Dessert was sweet and very good. Had little fried donuts with sugar on top omg to die for. I received a coupon for $2.00 off in the mail for this a buffet . On October 5,2022, I arrived and was seated. Shortly afterwards, I was seated by the hostess. When my waiter arrived at my table, she noticed I was holding a coupon for 2.00 off. She immediately told me that I could only use the coupon if I was paying cash. I told her the coupon did not say that. The waitress advised it was posted on the door and she advised you have to pay cash if you are using coupon. I asked to speak to supervisor multiple times before she left to get one . When she came back, she advised the supervisor was not here then she agreed to take the coupon. I was extremely saddened by this. I decided to leave. Before I left, I again spoke to the hostess and asked for a supervisor. The male supervisor for my waitress seem to only make excuses for her and only made the situation worse. I will never visit this business again and I encourage others to take your business elsewhere.
