My dog has stayed there several times, but this most recent time, she developed GI issues, so they switched her to a bland diet. After 24 hours of not keeping the bland diet down, they brought her Urgent Care, where she had an xray to rule out a blockage and received fluids, anti-nausea and probiotic meds. Then they brought her back to the kennel where they got her to take her meds and she was able to keep the bland diet in. For those 2 days until I returned, they kept me fully informed, made recommendations but asked me what I wanted to do, conuslted with Urgent Care and my vet, and took care of my dog like she was their own. Jill, the owner, even gave me her cell number so I could reach out at any time, and texted after I picked up mt dog to see how she was feeling! I'm so grateful for their experienced guidance during a stressful time and the TLC my dog received there, I'll never bring my dog anywhere else and you shouldn't either!

The staff were very supportive and friendly about answering all of my questions since he had never been boarded... 7 days later it was like he had been there for years! This is not your typical daycare/pet resort. The owners live on property and treat each animal that walks through their doors like their own! I don't normally write reviews because I don't necessarily think my opinion should sway people, but Jill, Zephyr, and the staff at HAFH are a MUST see!! Daily pictures and status updates provided, and my dog comes home wagging his tail and happy as can be. It gives you peace of mind as a dog mom knowing that a group of people can care so much for an animal they don't own. She ensures that at the end of every in-home visit a "Visit Card" is completed by the walker and left for the owner which details what transpired (pee, poop, treats, fresh water, package brought inside etc etc) along with a written comment about how things went. I dropped him off at 9:30am and they left him sitting until around noon. At 12:45 I got a nonchalant call from the front desk saying my puppy had a " nickel sized hole cut into his ear and would need to be seen by a vet". The staff workers begrudgingly answered my questions about what had occurred and seemed absolutely unfazed by the injury, leading me to believe that this is not a rare occurrence. My puppy had to get stitches all alone at the vet due to covid 19 rules. He has to take a strong antibiotic for 10 days and the vet also said he had signs of heat exhaustion and dehydration. When I dropped him off they assured me he would be safe, in a controlled temperature room, and would have access to water. This was all a lie. Today the temperature reached 95 degrees and I can only assume the dogs at this facility were left outside or in an un air conditioned room without access to water for extended periods of time. When we arrived at the vet, he also found cuts on my dog that they hadn't told us about under his ears. The vet was easily able to remove the matts behind his ears and said that this was negligence on the employees parts. They didn't even begin to remove the matting or bathe him in any way, this means that after they left him sitting for hours they immediately cut his ear and sent him home...This was my dogs first experience being away from our family and he is traumatized to say the least. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
