I am truly disturbed. I can't believe the huge gash my dog has on her armpit area. I was never told about this when I picked her up. Only to find blood on my hands and a patch of her skin removed. She will have to go to the vet to get checked. I was at least given a refund but I definitely won't be returning here. read more

When my husband and I moved to Canton, we were in desperate search of a good dog groomer for our yorkie. I can be very very picky about her hair cut. After trying a few dog groomers in neighboring towns, I finally came upon Barking Beauties. What I love about them: 1) the price! They are very evenly priced with the other groomers that we have brought our dog to over the years...and for the price she gets the full treatment. 2) They brush her teeth--and its included in the grooming package! No other groomer has had that included in the package! 3) They dont keep my dog there for hours. Some places, you drop them off in the morning and they arent ready until mid afternoon. HATE that. At Barking Beauties...If i drop her off at 9am, she's usually ready around 12pm. LOVE IT! Its clean, the staff is friendly, and most importantly, I trust them with my baby! We tried out many dog grooming places and my dog Toby gets the best looking hair cut here. He looks handsome with his handkerchief every time we pick him up. I like how they let the dogs play with each other in a controlled environment instead of being caged like other shops. Bath, cut, nail clipping, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and anal gland cleaning cost $45 (Toby is about 25 pounds). I think this is very reasonable and they will see Toby for many years to come. The only reason I'm giving this shop 4 stars is because they take a long time. First time, I was quoted 3 hours, but he wasn't ready until 4 hours later. Second time, I dropped Toby off at 9:30 and he wasn't done until 2:30. read more

I was nervous to get my Eddie groomed because he is so nervous around other people and dogs. I loved this place! they let the dogs play while they are waiting, rather than kenneled which is fantastic for socialization! I absolutely love this place. I love that they don't put the dogs in kennels and allow the dogs play and interact with each other. My golden retriever, who sadly has passed, loved coming here. He would always run right in and would be so excited to get into the grooming area. I was always told that he was so well behaved and I knew it was because he was comfortable there. This is the only place I trust to bring my dog. I have a 10 week old Irish Setter puppy now and when he is old enough he will definitely be going to barking beauties. read more

I have a 15 year old maltese poodle mix who is blind, deaf and strong-willed. Since he lost his vision he has been extremely anxious about being groomed. His groomer told me that he bit her & pee'd on her grooming table. I felt terrible about his reaction & that he was so upset; I stopped grooming him for a while but then his hair became tangled & matted. Sylvia was recommended to me as a fellow animal lover who has the patience & demeanor to work with older dogs so I gave it a try. She was absolutely wonderful. I talked to her on the phone first - she was nice & knowledgable about elderly canine behavior so I made the appointment. She was able to groom him without any incidents. This was a huge relief to me as I love my dog so much. I will be a return customer & have already booked the next appointment. read more

Wonderful place! They fit my dog in today after he rolled in something stinky and did a great job getting him clean. The dogs are not trapped in pens/cages like other grooming places. They were all walking around and looked happy. A few of them were resting on dog beds. My dog is old an anxious and it was so nice to see him walking around with other dogs when I picked him up. Also the price was $10 less than what I have paid at other places. Highly recommend! read more

Love this place. Amy and her staff are professional and care about each dog. They listen to what I want and are thorough in their grooming. The dogs are not in crates waiting for their turn to get groomed. They are allowed to hang out while they wait. Very happy with the services they provide. Having 2 Cairn terriers it is difficult to find a groomer who does not make them look like either a westie or a schnauzer. Barking Beauties cut them exactly as we told them, cut their nails and brush their teeth. Everyone there is extremely nice and the cost is 15.00 per dog less than the last place we used to take them! I took my medium doodle here for the first time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Unlike many other groomers, Barking Beauties was able to accommodate my schedule with a near term appointment despite the fact that they are busy with a number of clients. They finished grooming my doodle in just under three hours. My dog looked and smelled great. The prices are competitive in the marketplace. Additionally my pooch was well looked after with a number of other well behaved dogs allowed free range on the grooming floor. read more

Love this place! Amy and crew were great with my old lab Charlie. And I even brought by 19 year old cat Chelsea to get her nails done. They cleared the room of dogs so they could tend to my cat. This morning I brought my 16 week old Australian Labradoodle to get his first cut. Amy came highly recommended by my breeder, she was fabulous! When I arrived he was very content with all the other dogs, it was like being on a playdate! I was so thrilled how he looked and loved his new bandanna!
