He helped my sister and her family move, he found my parents a rental, and he helped my husband and me find the perfect house, negotiate it, and make sure every last detail was handled all the way to closing. That kind of repeat business says everything. Working with Jon is just easy. He and his team make the whole process seamless, and he's been nothing but a pleasure to work with: delightful, always well informed, and genuinely easy to talk to. I highly, highly recommend him.

Tim Aberle, Thrive Real Estate Group We went under contract…read morethe first weekend and sold above asking price. That's the short version. Here's what actually made it happen. Tim's read on the market was precise. His pricing recommendation gave us confidence going in, and the results validated it. He also identified a targeted set of minor repairs before listing that made a real difference in how the home showed, and he had strong marketing visibility in place early, which drove serious buyer attention from day one. What impressed us most came after we were under contract. The inspection surfaced repair issues that needed resolution, and that part of the process was genuinely stressful. Tim stepped in, sourced contractors, guided the negotiation, and kept things moving with a responsiveness that made a complicated situation feel manageable. Both sides walked away satisfied. If you want an agent who reads the market accurately, prepares you before you list, and holds the deal together when it gets hard, Tim is the right person.

Controlling Systems - Great job replacing the furnace and installing a new AC unit!

I got the recommendation for Controlling Systems through ChatGPT and they didn't disappoint. The sales process best of the bunch. Chris, our sales rep. took the time to do a manual J measurement throughout the house to ensure we were getting the right system for the house, which none of the other contractors even considered. After showing me all the options, we went with their RUUD top of the line system which came with a multi stage furnance, variable stage AC, and a heat pump. They applied the rebates offered by Xcel, so we didn't have to wait for the rebates, we just signed over the rebates to them during the sales process. The installers were top notch, kind, and ensured they took good care of our home. I couldnt be happier and highly recommend them. From a price point, they came out thousands less than the closest competitor, and I'd note the closest competitor wasn't willing to do a transfer of the rebates. We would have had to claim those after the sale.

Being true to what they commit to, even if I wasn't bothered by it, seems to be their culture. Thanks!

The business survived that chapter, handled by another excellent attorney, but one creditor had retained a particularly aggressive lawyer who had a sordid reputation throughout the state. He had his sights set on our home, and having already faced him on the business side, we knew we needed serious representation. We asked personal friends and professional associates for recommendations and Rob's name came up repeatedly from completely unconnected people. When a friend who used to work as a bill collector threw in his recommendation, we figured we had our guy. This case was an absolute rat's nest. Opposing counsel threw every trick they could find at us trying to scare us. Rob told us ours was ultimately the second-hardest case he had ever handled, and he's had some tough ones. He navigated every aspect with sharp professionalism and a real understanding of the nuances involved, both the legal and the human side of things. His counsel was well-informed and his level of caution was on point for the situation we were in. After a lot of senseless drama, we ended up keeping our home on essentially the same terms we had offered the creditor from the beginning. It was a fair deal throughout and one that fulfilled our responsibilities to the best of our abilities. One thing worth mentioning: Rob comes off at first as a soft-spoken, maybe slightly frazzled kind of guy. Do not let that fool you. Most people who hire him will never get to see what he looks like in a courtroom, and you are missing out. We did get to see it, and it was something else. After the first time we watched him argue on our behalf, my wife and I looked at each other afterward and pretty much said, "Holy shit, this guy is terrifying." He fights with facts, mounds of them, and he knows how to turn hard, irrefutable facts into a human story. After the first 5 minutes I thought "Wow bro just went full nuclear out of the gate". Nope, nope he had not, he wasn't even warmed up yet. I've sat through plenty of court proceedings and it's usually a dry affair. I would not want to be on the other side of Rob. That's all I'm saying. I almost, almost a little bit felt sorry for the grease bag trying to take our house for a minute. But nah. He didn't just file papers and blather in a courtroom. Rob saved our home and our way of life. In doing so, he helped preserve the stability that lets us keep running a business that employs a dozen people here in Colorado, continue to serve our customers AND fulfill our responsibility to our creditors.

Unprofessional, disorganized management - Left job unfinished after weeks of no-shows and excuses…read more Review: I hired this company for an electrical project and paid for the work upfront. While the initial rough-in work was done well, the management and office communication since then has been an absolute disaster. I have been trying for three weeks to get them to finish the final trim and fixture installation: Week 1 & 2: I was repeatedly promised the technician would call me to schedule. I was completely ignored both weeks. Week 3: I finally got them to schedule a day. I received numerous text/email confirmations, took time off to be home, and nobody showed up. When I called for an update, the office admitted they never actually dispatched anyone and failed to tell me. This Week: They rescheduled the original technician for Thursday. On Wednesday, they called to say he had been in an accident and rescheduled him for Friday instead. On Friday morning, they called to cancel again, stating the technician couldn't make it due to the accident. Why did management schedule an injured employee for active field duty without checking his condition, rather than simply sending a different electrician to finish the job? My project is completely stalled, the wires are sitting exposed, and I have paid 100% upfront for labor and fixtures. I asked to speak directly with a manager to settle this, but my request was ignored. I have deep sympathy for the injured technician, but this company's administrative staff is completely incompetent, dishonest about dispatching, and uncommunicative. Avoid this company if you value your time.

This is the absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with…read more I've been a construction project manager for over a decade and a landlord for nearly as long, so I've dealt with plenty of contractors and service companies over the years. This experience with Roto-Rooter was easily one of the worst. On the evening of August 24, 2026, the tenants at one of my properties notified me that they were having backups in the home. I was out of state and couldn't get there myself, so I called Roto-Rooter. They told me someone would arrive within a four-hour window, and to their credit, the technician showed up in about two hours. After assessing the situation, the technician called me and said they needed to remove the downstairs toilet and snake the main drain. The price was $826, and I was told they would return the next day to scope the drain and determine whether there were any roots, a belly, or some other issue with the line. $826 seemed extremely expensive for removing a toilet and snaking a main line, but it was late at night and I needed the problem handled, so I approved it. Then, before starting, the technician realized he didn't have a wax ring to reinstall the toilet. Seriously? You're coming out to remove a toilet and don't have a wax ring? There is a Home Depot about 30 seconds from the property, so I told him to go get one, which he did. Once he returned, he cleared the blockage fairly quickly. It appeared to be a typical tenant-related clog from excessive toilet paper and possibly baby wipes. Fine. Problem solved. The real circus started after that. The next day, August 25, I heard nothing about the promised camera scope. I called Roto-Rooter and was told, "Yes, it's here on the ticket." I asked, "So when are you going to do it?" They responded by asking when I wanted them to come. You told me you were coming back the next day. I'm out of state. You need to coordinate with the tenant. They contacted my tenant and scheduled the scope for 6:00 PM on August 25. My tenant left work early to be there. Roto-Rooter never showed up. On August 26, my tenant contacted them again. They told him they would be there at 3:30 PM. He left work early again. Roto-Rooter never showed up again. On August 27, I called Roto-Rooter myself. The dispatcher told me she didn't know what the problem was because she hadn't been working when the previous appointments were scheduled. So because you weren't personally working, nobody at the company can figure out why your technicians missed two scheduled appointments? She escalated me to a supervisor. Unsurprisingly, the supervisor had no idea what happened either. She then offered to send a technician over "right now." I had to explain, yet again, that I AM OUT OF STATE. You have to coordinate access with the tenants. I'm not standing at the property waiting for you. At that point I was done. The $826 price was bad enough, but the complete lack of organization and communication afterward was worse. My tenant left work early on TWO separate days because of appointments Roto-Rooter scheduled, and nobody showed up either time. Then, when I called to find out what happened, nobody at the company could even explain it. I work with a lot of contractors, property owners, landlords, and people in the construction industry. I will never use Roto-Rooter again, I will never recommend them to anyone I work with, and I strongly suggest anyone considering them look elsewhere. Insane pricing and an absolute circus of an operation.
