I had a leaky water pipe from an old copper to pvc connection soaking our carpet. We've used Done before with very good service. They say they offer 24 hour plumbing, nights, weekends and holidays but had none available when I called in the evening. The phone reps were nice, told me they'd get me help in the morning. Plumbers arrived late morning the next day. The pipe was behind the wall in a tight but accessible space. They had to cut a small hole in the drywall. They replaced the connection, I believe using a ProPress crimping tool. (He said the tool cost $3000.) The job looks solid, and they were professional, what I've always expected out of this company. The manager handled a issue I had with the billing personally, making sure everything was settled fairly and promptly. They've always been my go to for service and remain so. read more

Unprofessional, disorganized management - Left job unfinished after weeks of no-shows and excuses Review: I hired this company for an electrical project and paid for the work upfront. While the initial rough-in work was done well, the management and office communication since then has been an absolute disaster. I have been trying for three weeks to get them to finish the final trim and fixture installation: Week 1 & 2: I was repeatedly promised the technician would call me to schedule. I was completely ignored both weeks. Week 3: I finally got them to schedule a day. I received numerous text/email confirmations, took time off to be home, and nobody showed up. When I called for an update, the office admitted they never actually dispatched anyone and failed to tell me. This Week: They rescheduled the original technician for Thursday. On Wednesday, they called to say he had been in an accident and rescheduled him for Friday instead. On Friday morning, they called to cancel again, stating the technician couldn't make it due to the accident. Why did management schedule an injured employee for active field duty without checking his condition, rather than simply sending a different electrician to finish the job? My project is completely stalled, the wires are sitting exposed, and I have paid 100% upfront for labor and fixtures. I asked to speak directly with a manager to settle this, but my request was ignored. I have deep sympathy for the injured technician, but this company's administrative staff is completely incompetent, dishonest about dispatching, and uncommunicative. They said they would not charge extra for weekend emergency service but I can only assume they certainly did as I paid $690 to just change the shower valve! INSANE! This was a while back, but I'm finally getting around to leaving a review. BTW the invoice they sent me listed this as a "Shower Rebuild" - that sounds like a lot of work and could be pricey; but it was Inaccurate to the max as it was literally only a change of the shower valve. An appointment was set for a monthly subscription customer, to shut down a swamp cooler for the season and check the heating system for winter. The actual service providers are knowledgeable and polite....they get stars. The office scheduling personnel are quite another matter. For four consecutive appointments they did not arrive, arrived late, or did not call. For some reason for one of the appointments, they had a previous tenants name and number where they left a message. The second appointment was provided a SPECIFIC time by which repairs HAD to be completed. When a call was placed because they were late, I was informed that they were coming.........AFTER the exact time that repairs need to be completed. Reescheduled, and this time they were late because the truck broke down. But I had to call in to find that out!!!!!! THEN another appointment was arranged for a sales person to come out and give an estimate for a new furnace........no show/no call. This was me helping a neighbor because she was out of town. This company is definitely one of the more dishonest companies we have ever dealt with and unfortunately we have dealt with far too many. We reached out to them to fix because our furnace stopped working. The thermostat had 2 codes, both when I researched them said there was something dirty. The tech comes out and says that both the motherboard and motor need to be replaced cost if he can get the parts next week $4500 and that he would call us, encourages us to instead replace the furnace and schedules us with his sales person the next day. We ask for written receipt for service call and estimate. Next day sales person comes presents us with estimates beginning at $12500. When further asked says tax will be extra about $500-1000 more but can't tell us how much, provides full written estimate. We still have not received estimate or receipt from tech and ask again. That night finally get fix estimate. Next day we have reputable company come out and say all it needs is a cleaning, service call and cleaning approx. $200. Finally next day get receipt for service call. Reach out to tech to complain about service. Promises to have manager call us. In the mean time my wife is bombarded with emails for her to rate Done and accept the estimates for work. Never get a call from manager. Time goes by finally complain the BBB, Done's response is that we should reach out to them, which we had already done and that the tech discovered potential problems with the furnace and that it was old. We had asked the tech from the other company and he had said it had a number of years left. We reject BBB response and write google review. Done finally says they'll refund service call but it will take a while. (Credit card has been cancelled so unsure if ever got returned.), but that isn't what we asked for in our complaint to the BBB and it takes them many comments to actually do this. Discover a friend actually works for furnace manufacturer and that Done's price is really high and yes our furnace should last longer than it's current age and that it may even have been under warranty. Write yelp review and response is maybe Done is the right company for us. Who is done the right company for, someone easily taken advantage of? Read the negative reviews on google and many of them have to do with Done's ethics, other's their prices. For an ethical company that does good work I would NEVER expect the lowest price. read more

They are a no call no show company. I joined their first service club Membership which comes with A monthly fee. One of the The benefits of joining the club is once a year they come out and do an inspection on your heating/cooling unit. The first couple of years when I joined the club it was great they called they came out and things were fine However, Last year and up to date I have made 5 service request for them to come out and check my heater and they have no called no showed except for the first time last year when it was super hot and there was a lot of people calling on their air conditioning. I did understand that and they did call to cancel. Since then there's been 4 no call no-shows. Also, Last year I called with a question talk to a gentleman for about 20 minutes and he promised he would check into it and call me back, Yep, no call back. I was not the customer but I was the one there when a technician from Done came to check out why the air was not working in our daughter's apartment. The company had been there one year before and replaced a capacitor and the air worked all year. This time a technician came, opened the door to look at the heater and told me that we had been scammed by whoever installed the heater, that this heater didn't have a terminal to hook up to the air and that it could not have ever worked. Never took out a tool, never tested anything. The air has been working for 10 years since it was installed and yet at a glance he swore that it could not have ever worked. Mind you that the same company installed a part 1 year earlier and left with it working. So he had the owner talk to the sales representative, because apparently the only way to have air conditioning was to replace both the heater and the air conditioning system totally, at a cost of $11,000-$40,000, to be determined. A technician from another company came out the next day, fixed a wire in the attic and got all systems working for a small service fee. Mark, the manager called me at his earliest opportunity to apologize and explain that there was a misunderstanding by the technician about the charge for annual drain maintenance. I was very happy to learn that there was no attempt at deception, just a misunderstanding. I own a rental house that was built in the 70's. It recently had a backup in the basement, which has a cement floor and is not finished. Christian came out to clean the line and said he couldn't do it, there were tree roots he pulled out and suggested we get it scoped by his company and there was nothing else he could do. He charged $500 for the visit which accomplished nothing and is twice what other companies charge. The next day Tony came out and scoped it and said there was a separation between the clay pipe and a previous repair and the cost to replace the line was almost $13,000. Tony was very nice, but was high pressure. He got the cost down to $10,000. I wanted to get a second opinion the next day, but, signed a contract because I didn't want my tenants to be without the ability to shower or do wash. Then I heard of Colorado Sewer, called them and had it rescoped. It cost $239. They cleared the line and said there was no break and nothing was wrong with the sewer line. In fact, he mentioned the previous repair, which he said was fine. A total rip off. I want my $500 back and an apology. This was high pressure and deceit. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. If zero stars were an option, I'd choose it. Massive disappointment and their customer service is shockingly bad. I booked a technician weeks in advance, drove 45 minutes to be there for the appointment. Just 30 minutes into the scheduled time, I get a text saying the technician had an emergency job and couldn't make it. No call, just a text. My appointment was for 11 am on a Sunday, and they could have potentially made it after their so-called "emergency" job. I explained my situation, but they couldn't care less about my job or inconvenience. It seems like they just didn't want to work on a Sunday. Maybe a football game was more important to them, I don't know. What I do know is that this is an epic failure of customer service. I can't say enough great things about Paul Daneker. Quite some time ago, he came out and redid all of my electrical outlets, switches and breaker box. Everything has been working perfectly. He was short an outlet cover and took the time a few days later to drive many miles to come and bring me a new one. Today, he installed a new ceiling light. I needed to have and entire drain line replaced in my house. Done Plumbing offered me the best price, which was 1/3 less than the last bid I got. He got the estimate to me on Wednesday, and the project was completed by Friday. Tony and his team were very pleasant to work with. They showed me the progress each step of the way, and took pictures. They were all very courteous and even fun to have in my home, which can often be stressful. The work completed was very high quality. Their equipment was modern, and the parts used were high-quality as well. From the piping to the concrete. So, we did not have plumbing work completed by this company. They came and gave us an estimate on work we would like to have done. My rating is solely regarding the technician who provided the estimate. He was very nice. The bid was 3 times what other companies came in at. Now, I am updating the review after the electrician came to our home. He was extremely nice. My husband paid him $250.00 for 15 minutes of work. He had to fix a DIY installation of a bathroom light. I wouldn't have the balls to up charge like that. We were in a pinch and paid the bill. Most companies at most would have charged $150.00, and that would have been pricey for an entire 15-minute job. Do I have electricity? Yes, so I guess I should be happy. Just wanted to let folks know their outrageous pricing. Also, we will not be using them for our larger projects. We are planning on adding air conditioning and a new heater and a hot water tank. We also need a sink installed, and the pipes need to be re routed. I hope the $250.00 was worth the loss of the other projects. I would rate the technicians at a 5 for being friendly to your face. I would rate character at a 1. I will rate estimates and completed work rates at a 1. I will rate the fixed electric outlet issue at a 5 since it is working. I will rate scheduling at a 5. But since I am salty over the experience, I am struggling to provide a 3.4 star rating for the average. I don't know. You would hope folks would offer a bundle discount when spending over $20,000.00. We've had frequent backups so I called Done. The first guy who came out, Andrew, was great to work with and I had no issues. He snaked the main line and said to call to set up a free scope. Our drain backed up again so we called Done to have it cleared and scoped to see what the underlying issue was. I was unable to be there so my wife handled the appointment. She called me during the scope and I could already tell there was cheesy scare sale tactics going on. He scoped it before clearing the line so it was impossible to get an accurate assessment of the line. Then said the line is inoperable and we need to get it replaced right away for the price of $31000. $13000 inside $18000 outside. As I figured, during a second opinion, the other company said our lines are fine. Just need a good cleaning and we can monitor every 6 months to year. What's disturbing is obviously they're replacing lines that don't need to be replaced to vulnerable people who don't know better. Done with Done: Wish I had taken the time to read Done's Yelps reviews, would have saved $59 and wasted time. Requested a quote to repair a leaking drain fitting in my ceiling. Done's guy arrived on time in a fancy logo covered truck and spotless uniform. After assessing the issue, he presented me with an estimate of nearly $1400 for a projected two-hour job. That works out to almost $700 per hour! Astonishing! Moreover, I had already purchased the necessary fittings, created an access point in the ceiling, and cleaned up the mess. I quickly sent Mr. plumber on his way with their $59 diagnostic fee. This incident reminded me of a similar encounter I had last year with an appliance repair company. It made me ponder if their true business model revolves around extracting diagnostic fees. I've learned to exercise caution when dealing with companies that have fancy vehicles, uniforms, and flashy online advertisements. More often than not, such ostentation translates into exorbitant prices. This experience motivated me to do the job myself. I had already done the worst part, so overall, the repair was not difficult and only took about 45 minutes. A real plumber could have done it much faster. Having engaged in estimation work within the construction industry for around 50 years, I can confidently assert that outrageously high quotes typically indicate one of four things: 1. They perceive you as gullible. 2. They believe you have money and are ignorant. 3. They lack confidence in their ability to perform the job and thus quote an inflated price to dissuade you from proceeding with the deal. 4. Horrible service. We called done for our sink and toilet but when they came they tried to sell us a 500 tank kit and then said he hasn't installed said tank kit before. We asked why and he said he was a "drain specialist" and that he could call a plumber if we wanted. At that point we requested him to leave and called the done office and told them what happened. He then went to his van for 5 minutes and then came back and had the balls to tell us that we had misunderstood him. We told him to gtfo our property and will never use done again. read more

I've used Done several times over the last 10+ years and their techs are *always* knowledgeable and courteous. That is not the issue. The issue is that when you call to schedule an appt the person who answers the phone does not have access to the dispatch schedule. AC quit working, called Done for service call around 5pm. They told me a tech would be out that evening then 2 hours later said nope, will be tomorrow. Ok, that's frustrating but not too bad. 9 days later electricity went out around 4pm. I called Done and they said someone would be out that evening. 20 min later I got this text: "Unfortunately, our technicians are currently on jobs, and we are booked for at least the next week as we are short staffed. Apologies for the delay." I called Done back and spoke to the same guy, who said that was a mistake, ignore that, a tech will be there that evening. I waited 2 hours, no tech, called the main line back and spoke to a different person who told me that nobody was coming that evening, the text was correct. I explained the previous 2 calls at which point I was told that the people who answer the phone have no access to the schedule and that I should not have been told that a tech was available that evening. Ummmm what is the point of that? Why would you tell people to call a number to schedule service and have that number answered by someone who cannot actually schedule the appt? In any event, they then offered to send somebody 6 days later. I have no electricity and your offer is to send somebody 6 days later? I had to scramble to find an emergency electrician who was able to come out that evening and who got the power restored. Done has lost my business. read more

I had a hot water heater with a worn out thermocoupler. I called Done to have that part replaced and the rep they dispatched reset it (it has a small breaker) and rather than quote me on replacing the worn out part, he proceeded to lie about how my whole system was failing and needed a replacement costing over $4000, and this is for a residential 40 gallon hot water heater. Like some of the other reviews this company once had a 5 star review from me. Once they get you in and you buy the membership they don't care. We scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. I moved things around so that we could make it work. I get a call late Sunday saying they won't be able to make it with zero explanation. We rescheduled for the next day from 9-11 and again I move things around to accommodate them. Tuesday morning I get a text saying they can't come until noon. I called to ask why and again there was no explanation except they were sorry. Noon comes and goes and no one shows up to my house. Finally at 3 pm I get a call that they can try to send someone. Because I had moved everything to the afternoon so they could come in the morning that didn't work. I was also told I would be getting a call from a manager to discuss what had happened and no one ever called me. Don't be fooled by this company. They don't care about you or the issues you may be having with your home. They just want your money. You think a company you are a member with and just paid $2500 less than a month ago for other work would care about their customers more than this company does. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Used Yelp to help me select a plumbing company to help install a new waterline for my fridge. Contacted Done Plumbing on a Sunday, promptly scheduled a tech to come out to inspect & give quote for $59 or apply that amount to the charge if authorized today (Tuesday). Technician John B. Arrived ahead of schedule (approved of course) & was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about our request. The expense was a bit more than I had anticipated. No pressure from John, he reviewed my options and gave me time to make my decision. Ended up having the work done. The work was solid & the installed line look neat & professional he cleaned up & was on his way in about 2 hrs from the time he arrived to completion. The plumber told me last Friday that total would be $1300 and when he came out Monday, he charged me $1461 and he said that included discount for prior customer.
