If you're into KPOP music or merch this is the store for you. K-pop Republic is the official KPOP Music & Merchandise Shop in California. It's located in SGV. This store sell authentic anything KPop related merchandise and music. Moreover, they have two photo booth for customers to cherish their store experience. Store has chill vibe and very organized. Prices seem reasonable. Parking lot is available given its in a large plaza. Overall, it's a nice souvenir shop.

I came to check the place out but not buy anything, I've been or other kpop republic stores and they were usually very expensive. But this place is very nice and clean and organized! It's connected to the Paris baguette store through a cute rainbow entry. The merchandise are displayed throughout and the albums are neatly displayed on shelves. So many posters everywhere and love the music they play on the tv screen. The entrance to the store also has a Photo Booth on the left side. They also have claw machines near the entrance as well so there's lots to do. The staff is friendly when we entered and greeted us. They also answered our questions as well. Unfortunately the price is still up there but some things are reasonable such as some of the merchandise and albums.

Super cute and organized. Great prices and great service. Definitely worth checking out!

Multiple small signs as the business is easy to miss!

If you're looking for all things k-pop, pop on over to K-Pop Republic! Hidden away next to Paris Baguette. They don't have a sign up yet but there is a small one right under Paris Baguette They have books, CD's, wands, and cute plushies. Right by the entrance is 2 photo booths and they have adorable props you can wear. They also have 2 claw machines :) Parking can be a pain in the main lot but there is street parking and a lot on the other side of the plaza.

Very great place for kpop fans. Highly recommend to check it out!!love!!!!! I got my bias plush here

There are so many albums- so many choices! The staff are so polite and friendly. They also know so much about the different groups! Will definitely come here when I need a gift for a Kpop fan. I asked for a good gift for a Stray Kids fan and they hooked me up!

A video store for all of us intellectual movie nerds!…read more Videotheque sells some new and used DVDs and Blu-Rays, but their main purpose of being is as a video rental store and it's like no other video store I've been too. Their videos are organized by how a cinema fan's mind works. By category, by country, by director. John Woo movies in the Hong Kong director's section. Hou Hsiao-Hsien in Taiwan. There's classic porn from the 70s, 80s and 90s. There are Criterion discs. There are John Huston movies, Godard movies, Wim Wenders and David Lynch. Dario Argento horror movies. Sci-fi. Pre Sci-fi. Post Sci-fi. Brazilian. African. Silent films... I could go on and on. If you are looking for an obscure out of print classic film that's not on streaming, there's an 80% chance that you can find it here to rent. There is street parking nearby. The problem? I live in OC and this place is in Mount Washington/Montecito Heights. So if I move down there, I'll be renting some unheard of movies, that's for sure!

Most everything is dvd, but they have blu-ray and 4k too. I liked talking to the staff about their stock. They had some stuff that I'm been looking for rent. They said the they move all the shelves around so they can have a movie night where they bring out a projector. I recommend this place if you got the time. They do seem to have most every that I asked for.

They carry new and old books with VERY large selections. Their manga and comic section is really great, and I love to pop in to see what's new. I think they understand there's lots of art students nearby that love these books! :) Thank you, book alley. They helped me snag a specific book I really wanted to avoid buying from amazon, and couldn't find anywhere else! Make sure, if you're in the same boat, give them a call and ask if they can do the same for you! It might incur a fee, but they got my book to me within a week and I didn't have to pay extra! :) Wahoo!

The staff on the floor are engaging and genuinely helpful when you're searching for a particular find. That said, my experience selling books was disappointing. The process felt impersonal, and the seller/owner was not particularly engaging. One example: I brought in a brand-new book that originally cost $40 and was offered only a $1 store credit. I understand used bookstores have to make a profit, but the experience left me feeling like my books would have been better off in a friend's library. Great place to browse and buy, but I would lower expectations if you're planning to sell.

But no fear, they have so many other items to choose from. They offer books, collectable figurines, old game consoles and games, vinyls, and many other items. Some are Japanese related but not all of them are. I would say it's a pretty good sized store and everything is organized and labeled. It's fun rummaging through the boxes to see what goodies one might find, remember that this is a used book store so most items are pre-loved. I didn't get any Tokyo Sea items but I did get a pre-loved well kept Japanese Pressed vinyl of Air Supply's greatest hits! Priced at only $19, I thought it was a great find. Clean, well organized, lots of things to go through. Definitely a place worth checking out if you like hunting for treasure.

As one of the oldest independent bookstores in California, it has a really special charm. Inside, there's a wine bar, a coffee shop, and even a cute gift shop upstairs, which makes it easy to spend a lot of time browsing and relaxing. While I was there, I got to listen to an author present her book and answer questions, which added such a unique and memorable touch to the visit. The store was busy, and you could really feel how much people enjoyed being there. The layout is well organized, making it easy to find books by genre. Upstairs, there's a spacious children's section, which is great for families. I also loved the section featuring Orson Welles books and posters. It was a really cool and unexpected addition. Overall, Vroman's is more than just a bookstore as it's an experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
