I had such a great experience with this flower shop. I ordered HK-style flowers in lavender for my sister's marathon milestone since that's my sister's favorite color. At first I only see that they had more purple/violet tones available based on the pictures from the reviews, but the florist was so sweet and accommodating and really worked with my request for a true lavender color. She knew exactly what I wanted, and the arrangement came out perfect. Everything was beautiful and thoughtfully put together. The price was also very reasonable, especially considering she is a one-woman operation. You can really tell how much care and effort she puts into her work. My sister absolutely loved it! I would definitely order from her again!

If you're in the area def come here for your Hong kong flower needs!! They have the most affordable prices after comparing them to 3 other shops within 5 miles from here. Lots of color options and they can customize it however you like (: My boyfriend ordered these for me for my graduation and FaceTimed me while he was in the store to show me all their colors, I originally wanted a lavender color but when I saw the pink ones I like it so much better. The florist said she can mix purple paper to still give me the color I want. It came out great! It's been 1 month and they still look brand new! If you do the Yelp check in you get a free Hong Kong flower. I got a red one and it was also wrapped up nicely

This place is fantastic. I was running late to a birthday party and called to see if they had any premade arrangements (they do not). BUT the woman on the phone asked the occasion (birthday), colors (pink), my budget ($50), and how far away we were (about 25 minutes). She said 'Okay, it'll be ready, bye!' and hung up. We pulled up a few minutes early and she was just finishing it up. It was stunning: I loved the variety of flowers, the arrangement was beautiful. Best prices for Hong Kong roses in town! I called up a lot of flower shops and their quotes were twice the price of this place. You just call in and tell them the amount of roses you want (three only, half a dozen, dozen, etc.) and the color. You can pay with either cash or Zelle the day of. This is my second time ordering from them and it's soooo pretty! It definitely gives me memories from back in the days when these used to be very popular! I have used them for birthdays and graduations so far. Love it! read more

Friendly service. First time came to order funeral flower for delivery service. Very efficient. Arrangements was beautiful! For sure getting so much more for your buck, compared to other places. Although cane back to order HK flowers, it was mediocre. Was nicely put together for that fullness. But felt like they spray the glitter only on top, not all around as should. So if you're planning to give someone for that special occasion & keeping it for memories or decorations, try elsewhere. Otherwise, they'll still aaawww over it. If you're in the area def come here for your Hong kong flower needs!! They have the most affordable prices after comparing them to 3 other shops within 5 miles from here. Lots of color options and they can customize it however you like (: My boyfriend ordered these for me for my graduation and FaceTimed me while he was in the store to show me all their colors, I originally wanted a lavender color but when I saw the pink ones I like it so much better. I wish I had photos I could easily pull, but we had our complete wedding flowers done by Flower Genie over 25 years ago and they were, beautiful and so affordable. Flower Genie worked hard to make sure we got the flowers and designs we wanted. Over the years, we've referred many family and friends and have used them for birthdays, more weddings, funeral services. For graduations, we've received gotten the most beautiful HK bouquets and leis meeting requested colors. Tip for leis: don't get glitter! The spray on ends up in hair, face and all over clothing and those you hug! read more

A Timeless Gem. I was so pleasantly surprised to find Flower Genie still going strong after all these years! I remember coming to this shop many years ago for prom and the quality and service have only gotten better. Super expensive for very subpar quality. Ordered half a dozen Hong Kong flowers for $93 and it was not what I expected. The flowers were not completely bloomed and looked super cheap due to how they did the glitter, and bunch of empty spaces in the whole bouquet. I've gotten Hong Kong flowers from another shop and they were 1000x better. read more

Came in on a Tuesday during lunchtime to take a look at available bouquets for my mom's birthday; I was drawn to one but didn't like the wrapping paper color so I was offered to get a new bouquet made with the wrapping paper and rose colors of my choice to pick up by the end of the day. I chose red roses and white wrapping paper, and checked in on Yelp to get a free glitter rose in the middle of my bouquet. When I came in to pick up the flowers, I was so happy with the look! It's so beautifully made, I would definitely come back for more special occasion flowers. I've been to this place a few times and I just think they do amazing work! The Hong Kong Style Flowers are done beautifully and with care. Although they are not the only florist that specializes in Hong Kong Flowers, they are meticulous. I like that if you check in, you get a free glitter rose. The decorative aspects and effort it takes to make these flowers is admirable and I think the end result highlights the beauty of the art. Flower Genie is the absolute best flower shop ever!!!!! They have done my graduation flowers, my sister's and my cousins for over a decade now. The young Vietnamese lady who assisted me took about 10 minutes to think through the design and, in the end, suggested upgrading to a larger bouquet for $75 with a bigger arrangement and a different wrap style. I was initially hesitant, but I appreciated that she took my unusual idea seriously and was willing to work with it. What stood out to me most was her willingness to bring my vision to life. Not everyone would have been open to incorporating Pokémon toys into a bouquet, but she embraced the idea and did her best to make it work. The final arrangement was thoughtful, unique, and made for a fun graduation gift for my son. I didn't catch her name, but I hope the owner sees this review and knows that she provided wonderful customer service. Thank you for taking my idea seriously and helping create something special for my son's big day.

They added a card with what my friend had but the front of the envelope said to:(friends name) instead of mines which was actually pretty funny. It also put a pokemon character as my last name but i think it was because my friend had pregnancy//mom brain so everything came out weird. But glad the flowers made it to the correct place. Not sure how much it cost or how the ordering process is though as ive never entered.

I found a photo of a green and yellow lei they had previously sold to past customer and decided to call in and ask if they had one in stock. The graduation was a few days out so I was pretty rushed to find a lei in time. I called in and spoke to the person (I think the name was Ronnie?) and they kindly informed me that they would have to see if they can make a yellow and green colored lei in time. They gave other colored options just in case the green and yellow was unavailable. After I got off the phone, they let me know the price (about $71) which needed to be paid before they can put the order in. I venmoed the money over and received a photo of the lei the day before graduation. I let her know that I will be in the morning of the graduation to pick it up and everything went smoothly! Communication was great, pick up time was easy and my cousin was thrilled with the lei! The price was a bit high though but the customer service was great!

The transaction went through, my credit card was charged, and I received a confirmation email. On their website they said the earliest pick up time was 10:30a. I wrote a note saying I will pick up the order at 11:30a. The next day I drove to the florist shop and arrived at the hotel only to find that they had cancelled my order and had notified me via email two hours before my pick up time. The florist said they were booked with a wedding and were unable to fulfill my order. I was unable to find an alternative with such short notice and showed up to my event empty handed. UPDATE: it has been 13 days since I placed my order with this company and have yet to receive my refund. When I tried to call the phone number provided, it's a Google voice number that no one picks up. I sent two emails and there has been zero communication. This company stole $500 from me. There are several major north-south roads in this area, and Rosemead Boulevard is one of them. San Gabriel Boulevard is another. The road is wide and easy to drive. The nursery is right across the street from Com Tam Kieu Restaurant, one of the better Vietnamese broken rice restaurants in Southern California. On the way there, I passed a construction site, probably a new apartment building. It strongly gave me the impression of an EB-5 green card project, the kind of real estate development marketed less as a normal apartment building and more as an immigration investment package for Chinese buyers. In the middle of the SGV, that feeling was hard to miss. After that came the nursery. I drove from north to south, made a left turn onto a smaller street, and parked outside. The entrance is tiny. You walk through it and immediately reach the counter, where there was even a line. After that, you pass into an indoor room stocked with fertilizers, plant stakes, soil, mulch, and other gardening supplies. Beyond that is the back garden, which is much larger than expected and quite elegant. The plants are clearly well cared for, and the stone sculptures give the place a strong hint of Chinese culture. Along the edge of the main building, there are stacks of Buddha heads, seated Buddhas, and other stone figures, mostly in Chinese Buddhist or imagined Buddhist styles, though not necessarily following any strict traditional standard. There are Chinese signs everywhere, which makes sense for a nursery in the middle of the SGV. Many of the plants have bilingual names. The prices are not cheap, but they are fair. The orchids are much more expensive than what you would find at Trader Joe's or Costco, but they are also more beautiful and much stronger, so I would not call them overpriced. The plants use different colored tags, similar to what you see in many American discount stores. Some are very cost-effective. It is definitely worth stopping by, and even more worth it if you happen to find some good discounted plants. The cashier was a little rude, but as a Chinese person, I found it completely acceptable. I have seen much worse. Even though she was in a rush, the service was not bad. She even gave me an extra bag so the soil would not spill in my car. Overall, this is a good nursery and I would recommend it. It is even better if you understand Chinese culture, because many of the details will make more sense.

I don't care if this gets filtered, or if I have completely discredited the store by writing this review, but I always avidly work hard to make sure that all of the customer's demands are met. (Plus 100 reviews is a BIG deal for me). Hong Kong wraps are made with utmost care, they are about $80 for a dozen off season, $45 for a half a dozen, and are the most popular flowers yet. How could the owner tell her customer to not come back because I was unsatisfied with the outcome of the funeral flowers I had ordered? I ordered $200 funeral flower, came out a smaller size which should have cost $150. She is so rude. I ordered another one with yellow lilies, but came out with sunflowers mixed with pink daisies.
