Lots of color options and they can customize it however you like (: My boyfriend ordered these for me for my graduation and FaceTimed me while he was in the store to show me all their colors, I originally wanted a lavender color but when I saw the pink ones I like it so much better. The florist said she can mix purple paper to still give me the color I want. It came out great! It's been 1 month and they still look brand new! If you do the Yelp check in you get a free Hong Kong flower. I got a red one and it was also wrapped up nicely read more

I wish I had photos I could easily pull, but we had our complete wedding flowers done by Flower Genie over 25 years ago and they were, beautiful and so affordable. Flower Genie worked hard to make sure we got the flowers and designs we wanted. Over the years, we've referred many family and friends and have used them for birthdays, more weddings, funeral services. For graduations, we've received gotten the most beautiful HK bouquets and leis meeting requested colors. Tip for leis: don't get glitter! The spray on ends up in hair, face and all over clothing and those you hug! read more

A Timeless Gem. I was so pleasantly surprised to find Flower Genie still going strong after all these years! I remember coming to this shop many years ago for prom and the quality and service have only gotten better. Recently, I came in last minute needing a bouquet for a friend's birthday and they nailed it. He loved the bouquet, the perfect flowers and colors with a touch of Dodger blue. She said she would do her best to get the flowers delivered by 2, she'll shot me a picture and said the flowers were delivered by 1. The selection was good, I liked what they had displayed. Super expensive for very subpar quality. Ordered half a dozen Hong Kong flowers for $93 and it was not what I expected. The flowers were not completely bloomed and looked super cheap due to how they did the glitter, and bunch of empty spaces in the whole bouquet. I've gotten Hong Kong flowers from another shop and they were 1000x better. read more

This place is fantastic. I was running late to a birthday party and called to see if they had any premade arrangements (they do not). BUT the woman on the phone asked the occasion (birthday), colors (pink), my budget ($50), and how far away we were (about 25 minutes). She said 'Okay, it'll be ready, bye!' and hung up. We pulled up a few minutes early and she was just finishing it up. It was stunning: I loved the variety of flowers, the arrangement was beautiful. Came in on a Tuesday during lunchtime to take a look at available bouquets for my mom's birthday; I was drawn to one but didn't like the wrapping paper color so I was offered to get a new bouquet made with the wrapping paper and rose colors of my choice to pick up by the end of the day. I chose red roses and white wrapping paper, and checked in on Yelp to get a free glitter rose in the middle of my bouquet. When I came in to pick up the flowers, I was so happy with the look! It's so beautifully made, I would definitely come back for more special occasion flowers. Despite it being my first time buying flowers, the staff there was patient and friendly in helping me choose from the variety of options and colors they had. I've been to this place a few times and I just think they do amazing work! The Hong Kong Style Flowers are done beautifully and with care. Although they are not the only florist that specializes in Hong Kong Flowers, they are meticulous. I like that if you check in, you get a free glitter rose. The decorative aspects and effort it takes to make these flowers is admirable and I think the end result highlights the beauty of the art. Flower Genie is the absolute best flower shop ever!!!!! They have done my graduation flowers, my sister's and my cousins for over a decade now. There are several major north-south roads in this area, and Rosemead Boulevard is one of them. San Gabriel Boulevard is another. The road is wide and easy to drive. The nursery is right across the street from Com Tam Kieu Restaurant, one of the better Vietnamese broken rice restaurants in Southern California. On the way there, I passed a construction site, probably a new apartment building. It strongly gave me the impression of an EB-5 green card project, the kind of real estate development marketed less as a normal apartment building and more as an immigration investment package for Chinese buyers. In the middle of the SGV, that feeling was hard to miss. After that came the nursery. I drove from north to south, made a left turn onto a smaller street, and parked outside. The entrance is tiny. You walk through it and immediately reach the counter, where there was even a line. After that, you pass into an indoor room stocked with fertilizers, plant stakes, soil, mulch, and other gardening supplies. Beyond that is the back garden, which is much larger than expected and quite elegant. The plants are clearly well cared for, and the stone sculptures give the place a strong hint of Chinese culture. Along the edge of the main building, there are stacks of Buddha heads, seated Buddhas, and other stone figures, mostly in Chinese Buddhist or imagined Buddhist styles, though not necessarily following any strict traditional standard. There are Chinese signs everywhere, which makes sense for a nursery in the middle of the SGV. Many of the plants have bilingual names. The prices are not cheap, but they are fair. The orchids are much more expensive than what you would find at Trader Joe's or Costco, but they are also more beautiful and much stronger, so I would not call them overpriced. The plants use different colored tags, similar to what you see in many American discount stores. Some are very cost-effective. It is definitely worth stopping by, and even more worth it if you happen to find some good discounted plants. The cashier was a little rude, but as a Chinese person, I found it completely acceptable. I have seen much worse. Even though she was in a rush, the service was not bad. She even gave me an extra bag so the soil would not spill in my car.
