I did not get any results from the injections KP performed. It was painful during and up to a month after. The needle she used was quite large and painful. The injections may have gone past the muscle as I had 0 results . I have had Botox before and know the line to draw. She said she injected 20 units but she charged me for 30 units. I will only see trained nurses and doctors not risky unlicensed people. What a waste of time and money! read more

I love this place! Kim is so much fun, she is such a professional and does an amazing job. Her decor is chic and comfortable. I have times when I am on TV and do an occasional photo shoot and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my face. If you you need a serious facial, Botox and great products... check her out! I have referred many friend to her that are repeat customers. The Botox lasts and I get a great result. People may want no movement in their face, I like my deep hereditary lines to be gone but I like to look natural at the same time. Its so obvious when people get too much Botox. Let me just preface this review by saying I should have done my research and googled reviews before purchasing the Groupon deal(s). I'm not new to Botox or fillers and have been going to a licensed RN about twice a year for a little upkeep. I don't have any major wrinkling anywhere except some moderate "angry 11's" that I get Botox for and I also get my lips plumped up. The Groupon looked like an amazing deal and the reviews on Groupon were very good so I went for it. Setting up the appointment was very easy through Kim's website. Her little spot is cute if you're into pink and leopard print. Not my aesthetic but whatever. Day of the appointment arrives and I'm running a bit late due to a work issue. I sent a text to Kim and she was very gracious and said not to worry because we had enough time booked. I was appreciative of that. Once I was in her office space, I told her that I just wanted my 11's done and then my lips filled. I'm aware of the potential issues with Botox & filler as I've signed release papers/waivers before but I've never had any reactions or problems. Here comes the part that I hate: Kim literally went in on my forehead and jammed a needle straight between my brows and injected all 20 units right there. She didn't ask me to frown to show her my 11's like my other girl has done. It HURT (I've never had Botox hurt before) and I developed a massive welt. I know for a fact that my other girl uses about 20 units for my 11's and unfortunately, what I received from Kim didn't do a darn thing. The 11's are still there. It's been 2 weeks. In the past, my Botox usually took about 3-5 days to fully kick in. She was equally as rough when injecting the filler. She did put numbing cream on but I was shaking by the time she was done. Yes, lip injections are a bit painful but I have never experienced pain like I did when Kim went in on me. My lips were VERY swollen and bruised for a good week before they calmed down. I will say I'm happy with my lips now but I question whether they will last. Her technique was not gentle at all. Looking now at reviews from Yelp & Google, I see a pattern with those who purchased the Groupon. Many are unhappy and did not see the results they wanted or were expecting (and these folks are not newbies either). I'm beginning to wonder if Kim dilutes her Botox for the Groupon customers but gives the full strength to those paying full price because I do see many positive reviews from them. This was a lesson learned for me and I will not be back nor will I ever recommend anyone go to her. Please don't be sucked in by the Groupon deal. You are better off just saving up your $$ for a bit and going to someone more experienced. I don't even think Kim is a medical professional/RN. I wasn't even aware that you could get injections from someone who wasn't. Again, this is on me as I should have done my research. Kim was nice enough but didn't really seem interested in me as a client, probably due to the fact that I was a Groupon customer. It's unfortunate because if I had been happy with my results, I definitely would have gone back to her and paid her regular prices as her location is much more convenient for me. I also noticed that she is extremely rude and combative when responding to negative Google reviews which is SO unprofessional. There was also a WCCO report about her from 2018 about unhappy clients and their complaints were all very similar to mine (some are worse!) The article makes Kim look terrible because of her unprofessional responses and demeanor. If you're happy with Kim, that's great. I'm not and I definitely feel scammed regarding my Botox. I was shoved in between 2 clients so I was with another lady in her office and one client waiting, who took my appointment. I told her I wanted crows feet done and in between my eyes. Well she did my forehead and an eyebrow lift. Which I did not know about till the next day. I called with concerns. Crease lines on my eyebrows. Pockets on my eyelids. She then informed me she did an eyebrow lift. I told her I did not ask for an eyebrow lift.... I sent pictures. She was very rude to me. Unprofessional. She was awful. I got nothing from her... Went and saw Kim after purchasing a Groupon for Botox. Her little space is clean and nice, and I appreciated the free parking. In the past I've always gone to the same person for Botox, located in a medi spa at my gym. I thought I'd try someone else because my other gal was pricey. Well, lemme tell ya, you get what you pay for. 2 weeks after Kim injected me I had to go back to get more because I was less than thrilled. Fast forward two more weeks and I still have strong lines and a lot of movement in my forehead. This is either due to a lack of good technique, or poor quality Botox. Do NOT waste your money here. Kim is always so professional yet so much fun to be around! She actually cares about how my life is going, and I have so much fun with every appointment that I go see her! I love her attitude and she makes me always feel so at ease when it comes to the procedures! I find she is extremely knowledgeable at what she does. I've had skin pen , Botox / dysport, and filler, and it is always so perfectly done. I always leave such a happy camper. She also has developed an amazing all natural skin care line called phace that has amazing results! Try the toner and eye serum , you won't be dissapointed. I purchased a Groupon for 20 units of Botox. The salon is located in the Uptown Sola Salon with its own small private lot which is nice. Kim's salon is cute and clean. The issue is her technique. I've been getting botox for years and have never had 20 units for my 11's nor have I ever had it injected up in my forehead and on my hairline. I had explained when I arrived that I wanted my 11's done but don't usually need all 20 units so she could put the remaining units wherever she saw lines in my forehead. She had filled up 2 syringes and she put 2 injections in my 11's and the rest of the 1st syringe as well as the entire 2nd syringe up in my hairline and a couple pokes in my forehead. She commented that "she likes to go higher up than I'm probably used to". I just figured she knew what she was doing and thought nothing else of it. She said to let her know if I needed to come back in a couple weeks for any "tweeking". I left with lumps up in my hairline and by the time I got home, I had visible bruises, which I've never had happen before. I just blew it off and figured it was from the way she injected my forehead. My entire forehead and hairline was sore for the next few days. My Botox typically kicks in within a few days and I noticed my forehead stiff as can be all the way into my hairline! My 11's on the other hand were as visible as the day I went there TO GET MY 11's DONE!!! I waited 2 weeks and contacted her to get my 11's "tweeked" and told her I live far and need an early appt so I can make it to my son's school in time. She told me to come at 1:30. I got there at 1:20 and she had another customer. I waited outside her salon in a chair sitting right next to her see through glass door. She never once opened the door to say she was running behind or sorry etc. I literally sat there until 2:10! Finally the other customer left and she said "oh I didn't know that was you"! Um, either way you knew you had an appt at 1:30!!! She then asked what I was there for again? Um, really? I told her my 11's didn't get enough and she said "they look stiff" to me. I could move my 11's and you could see 2 lines plain as day??? She did 2 tiny pokes and that was it. I was like "really"? I left with a huge lump again and by the time I got home I had a visible bruise that my friends both could see and feel AND the Botox never worked and my 11's are still there. I think her syringes are way too big and her Botox is very cheap and just junk. I then started losing my hair on my hairline where she injected me. Only in the spots she injected me too. I've never had Botox put in my hairline nor have I ever lost my hair. I didn't bother contacting her again and won't go back nor will I recommend her to anyone else. Super frustrating and a waste of time and money since what I went there for was never even done correctly. I went in in Oct and all my lines on my forehead are back already along with my 11's that never really got done. read more

Extremely disgusted with this place. KP is not a medical practitioner and obviously by how I was treated, does not have the training, nor the knowledge of someone who does. I've had injectables before from a trained nurse and when I told her about this place she said that unfortunately, these practices are not regulated and should be. KP has all these deals that lure people in but the quality of her injectables were so poor, it hardly did a thing. I questioned her about it and she said it takes 14 days. Went back after 14 days to request a refund but she said that I probably needed a bit more. She added more and it still did nothing. (52 units of Botox?) When I've had this done before by a qualified nurse, it worked the next day and I only needed 20-30 units. Warning!!!!! Don't fall for deals, go to a knowledgeable, medically trained practitioner. I feel totally ashamed of myself for being scammed! Plus I am out a good amount of money as she refused to give me a refund. Stay away!!! read more

Kim is very personable and energetic. I really had a problem with the Botox. It took over a week to kick in and hardly lasted. I was told by a professional that when mixing, you can dilute more than what is specified by Botox. I of course can't say for sure this is what she does...but my Botox did not last long at all. The price was great, but the results were terrible. It ended up being quite costly since the results were minimal and short lived!? This review is for 20 units of Botox I paid to fix my "1" in between my eyes. Kim instructed me that she likes to put a little up the lines of the forehead where the frown/squint lines would move if the "1" is treated. Suffice it to say - the "1" wasn't treated at all and the injections up the forehead left noticeable bruising. Would NOT recommend KP's Upkeep Boutike. I checked out Kim's reviews on other sites before visiting for the first time and they were all five stars. Sure enough, went in for an appointment and left extremely happy. Kim is the type of person you could hang out with for hours and it is obvious she loves what she does. Not only that but her prices are reasonable and her work is excellent.
