KR Electric didn't respond to my inquiry promptly, but after a couple of days I received an email asking to confirm a date for an estimate a week out and then Kevin came out to meet me and was on-time and super friendly. The quote he gave me was decent so we wanted to move forward. After sending an email requesting to start some projects, he fell off the face of the planet and won't respond. I could've gotten this project done 2 weeks ago with Frontline if I hadn't bothered to wait a week for the estimate and then another week of non-responsiveness. I recently have Kevin came to look at my new home to redo lighting in my garage and install security light on my driveway. Kevin is just awesome. He responded rather promptly and gave me a quote. His price is not the cheapest but decided to award him the contract based on may positives I have heard from his company. Job was supposed to start 2 weeks later but they had a last minute cancellation and one of his staff (Mike) emailed me if I was available the next day, which was awesome. This company is amazing and not only by the work they do but the pure honestly of Kevin the owner. I wanted to get a 220 line run for a hot tube in my backyard. KR Electric is a great group to work with as a whole. Every communication was prompt. Mike .S took his time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. My entire downstairs wiring was shot and needed to be rewired. Mike.S and his team completed the work in less than a day. As well as coming up with a more affordable option to save me big money the day of the install. Everyone of the guys were polite, easy to talk to and easy to get a long with. The attention to cleanliness was a great plus. They laid down plastic on my floors and made sure after the job was done that everything was cleaned up and no traces of them being there. All I can say is there is some common decency in this world where people don't try to price gauge you when you are desperate, and where they try to understand your emergency and they go out of their way to help you. This happened to me recently. I was having some work done and we ran into a few electrical conflicts that needed to be resolved as soon as possible. I went to trusty YELP to try to find a local electrician that could help. I had to search to find KR Electric and they only had a few reviews but don't let that fool you. These guys are what is right in the world when it comes to customer service, and Mike was awesome. He answered the phone in the first try, he understood my urgency, was able to promise me he'd be there in an hour and he told me his normal hourly rate would apply with a two hour minimum. That was completely acceptable as I had a feeling the work was going to be a few hours to resolve the problem. As promised, Mike came on time, (which I found out later was during his lunch time), was able to assess the problems (I had three), understood the urgency, and came up with three completely amazing solutions which were completed in two hours. All I can say is if you ever need any electrical work done, Mike and KR Electric are the ones to call. KR Electric is a very reliable business to work with. I contacted them on a Wednesday to inquire about replacing three 20-year-old light fixtures with can lights. They timely responded to my email and gave me a quote over the phone. They came out on Friday to replace the lights, During the process they discovered that my furnace was blocking the ability to install two of the lights. They gave me the option of using LED lights for this location, but they didn't have them with them. They offered to go to Home Depot and pickup the lights and complete the installation, which they did. The electrician (Mike) was competent, very friendly and kept me apprised during the installation. My circuit breaker tripped late Saturday night but I was not able to reset it. I called several electrical companies around San Ramon on Sunday (Mother's day) morning but most of them left me on automatic answer. 2 amongst the companies gave me quote ranging from $250-$300 for emergency or $199 for the next day service. I somehow got Mike's number via KR's answering machine and I got hold of him on my first attempt. He agreed to come help me fix the problem on Monday morning with the cost of $90. But just before hanging up, he asked me to take a picture of the switch panel for him to better equipped himself for the parts should it needs to replace. He texted back to me the second I sent him the picture with a question to check if I did this or that. I followed his guidance and voila, the problem was solved instantly. I never thank Mike enough for his skills, knowledge and most importantly his kindness to save me lots of money and the anxiety to wait another day to be served. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about KR Electric. We had a huge project remodeling 1500 square feet of an existing home and adding on another 3000 square feet of new construction. For obvious reasons, the electrical part of the job is one of the biggest and one of the most important areas in construction. A wrong wiring job could ignite your home. In any event, Kevin, went over all necessary needs and offered ideas to make the home more energy efficient, i.e. using LED lighting everywhere we could. We worked with Mike a lot as he was the lead guy in charge and he always was here on time and worked tirelessly. Corners were NEVER cut, rather great care was taken to upgrade and remove all older wiring in the original part of the house. There wasn't a job they could not do. We also had KR Electric go to our Los Altos home to fix many electrical problems there before we sold the house. And since our current home was completed in 2013, we continue to use KR Electric for any type of electrical project we may have, which at times seems never-ending.
