This is my go-to market for wine and beer. It's owned by an Asian couple who are very friendly and happy to say hello every time I stop in. The beer selection is really good for a convenience store. A few varieties I've picked up there include Ace Cider, Weihenstephephaner Hefeweissebier, Arrogant Bastard, Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale and Pyramid Audacious Apricot Ale. Not, it's not a beer and wine store, but it's a great stop when you want to grab a slightly offbeat libation. There's also a nice selection of chilled white and sparkling wines. The selection of red wines is affordable but more obscure than your average convenience store, making for great pick-ups to bring to parties or give as gifts. You'll also find some convenience far like sodas, chips, butter, ice cream, etc., but it's the friendly owners and beer selection that keep me coming back. read more

This is a great corner store, run by an extremely nice couple. It has a great selection of beer and a pretty decent wine selection. Batteries, snacks, etc. All the little necessities that you might need and and don't feel like getting in the car and going far away. All the beers are clearly priced and labeled which is a plus over nearby Patterson Express, where you just kind of guess it seems. It's also much cleaner, nicer, and well lit than comparative corner stores. Only real complaints are that it closes at 10pm (Where as Patterson Express and Sheppard Market are open til midnight), no Pepsi product 2-litres, and a $5 credit card minimum which sucks if I'm just popping in for a 22oz beer or a pack of batteries. All in all, a great neighborhood market and beats the pants off of 7-11 in my opinion. read more

This is NOT a bad three-star review. It's moreso a 3.5. Much like Patterson Express a few blocks away, this store embodies the charming aspect of the Museum District: a few clumps of houses here and there, with a corner mart and laundromat for convenience sake. Unusually good beer selection, with some necessary items as well. I haven't had much time to explore the entirety of the mart, but from what I can see, it's a good addition to Cleveland St. read more

It's cool to see that other reviewers share a similar opinion of Kramer's. If you are going to be a successful small neighborhood market, it is critical that people feel welcome and become loyal customers. With Kramer's location, they can't rely on much drive-by traffic. Everytime I go here (on foot), I am enthusiastically greeted by the owners who genuinely seem happy to see me. They get four stars because they cater to the neighborhood locals. They have an awesome beer and wine selection. They also have all the basic convenience store goods. The only downside is some (all) of their prices. But hey, it's a CONVENIENCE store (should have gotten the items at Martin's or Kroger a few days ago). read more

You're not going to do your weekly shopping here, but when you're in the market for something in an emergency, or you want a drink you can't find elsewhere (the latest Hardywood release, or a Blenheim Ginger Ale) this is your go to spot. I used to live around the block from this family owned store. The family is friendly and helpful, often remembering what we have bought in the past. The beer and wine selection is diverse, but not mind blowing. They will have yummy beers that are beyond your beer pong favorites and they have above and beyond your boone's farms as well. Typical convenience store, but at least one employee there is very rude to customers. I was there on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at around 3 or 3:30 pm, and the guy behind the counter made rude, passive aggressive comments because I tried to use a 20 dollar bill to buy a beverage. I guess he was short on change in the drawer, but seriously. It's not like I pulled out a 50 or 100 or something. Using 20s is pretty standard IMO. Thought he was way out of line when he said something like, "Next time you go to the laundromat next door, bring appropriate change." Wonder if the owners of this establishment realize that this employee is talking to customers this way. Oh well. read more
