At our rental we were disappointed to find the bikes not ready for the summer season, so we called Shore Riders. Tim (and Ashley and Declan) all so friendly and helpful!! We were thrilled about delivery and loved the baskets for shopping. They provide helmets and keyed locks (much easier than combination locks) with each bike. Communication was excellent and the whole experience couldn't have been easier! We'll be calling with all our future bike needs. Huge priority for us on vacation and we were all so happy to find this total gem of a business. :)

I usually drive by two other bike shops to browse The Peddler. They are both a Specialized and Cannondale dealer but seem to prefer Cannondale. They are also a Seven Dealer and will pretty much special order anything. They are also located in an Economic Redevelopment area so you can save on the taxes as well. The Peddler sponsors several teams and weekend rides often start in their parking lot. Not really sure why I did not give them 5 stars. Probably because nothing is perfect.

On top of that, my bike was returned with a slashed strap that was not damaged when I dropped it off. When I raised my concerns, instead of a professional response I got verbal abuse from the staff. That's not how you treat a paying customer. I've documented the damage and kept my receipt. I'm currently pursuing a refund, and if the shop doesn't make this right I'm prepared to dispute the charge and take it to small claims court. I'd caution anyone considering this shop to think twice. Paying for work that wasn't done, getting your property damaged, and being treated with hostility is not acceptable.
