I had been on the fence for about 2 years on whether or not to get my wedding ring sized up or not. I went back and forth. But over the last few months, I was wearing my "fakey" one all the time because it was more comfortable when I was moving around and my hands got warmer as the day went on. I got engaged in the midst of covid, although we only had the stone, no complete ring. I decided that I wanted to try Krasner Jewelers because I remember corresponding with the owner (Milton) over a year ago regarding settings and I remember him being so nice and thoughtful. I contacted him through his online website and we chatted on the phone a day later regarding settings I was interested in. He was so personable on the phone and I immediately set up an appointment with him the following week. Stupid me, I got the times mixed up to meet with him but Milton couldn't have been any nicer and obliging to me and my fiancé. We went over the Stuller setting I wanted and got our fingers measured. Not only that but I had brought one of my right hand rings to our appointment and Milton offered to clean it for free within minutes! I've never had a jeweler offer to do this for jewelry I had at hand. We paid for the setting, although he did warn that due to covid the turnaround time might be delayed. We assured him it was fine--we aren't getting married anytime soon and we have nowhere to go, so no rush! The ring ended up being finished on time! Milton called both of us immediately and said we could come over whenever to pick it up. I was so excited I immediately drove over to his office within 20 mins. The finished product was beautiful and exactly how I envisioned it. I couldn't stop looking at it, even on my way home. And I'm still looking at it! I went to Milton on a whim after I went to a nearby more "corporate" jeweler and, ironically, felt less confident that they would turn my imagination's ring into reality. I pitched my vision (extremely intricate and detailed design) to them (the other jeweler) and without further questions, they said that they'd be able to do it. We decided we wanted the outline of a mountian, our initials, a ruby, a diamond, and a sapphire all on the inside of his wedding band, and believe it or not - Milton made it happen! I think in general, most people don't buy a lot of 'good' jewelery, and knowing where to start when you need something special can be extraordinarily intimidating. I think we're all familiar with "-ay's" at the mall. By my count. they've gone 'out of business' at least 6 times in the last 20 years. That is not a jeweler, that is a vendor. Milton Krasner is a Jeweler. Here's how it works: You call his number and you make an appointment- now granted, you have to do it during regular business hours, not at 8:30 on a Saturday night, but don't you think this kind of purchase should be done with some forethought, not just on a whim? Milton meets you personally and goes over your needs, wants and budget. He has access to all the stuff you can find from other 'vendors', but what he really, really does best, is getting you EXACTLY what you want at a price you can afford. Now my personal story. My husband went to Milton and purchased a solitaire engagement ring in platinum- just like I told him I wanted. Then guess what I did? I broke it... Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES!!! Now, I give Milton tremendous credit for not screaming "What are you, a construction worker?" until after the third break. (Apparently, platinum is not such a good choice for a gal like me that's a little hard on her jewelery.) Milton took me aside, and said, "Michelle, we need to make a change". Milton then reworked my ring in White Gold- same look, but MUCH sturdier. First problem solved. But we still needed our bands, and Milton hadn't quit on us yet (thank god). I had a channel set engagement ring with diamonds all around that needed to be resized from from a 4.5 to a 6.75. I had a slight inclination that this would not be an easy task and I wanted to find the best jeweler around to do the re-sizing. He is a very pleasant guy who is very knowledgable and methodical about what he does. I sought out someone to help me create the most beautiful necklace for a girl I am quite fond of. I found Milton Krasner after sifting through a handful of jewelers. What I want to credit Milton for more than anything else was his ability to show me that I should not just seek out a piece of jewelry that she would like, but that I should CREATE something that was unique, one of a kind, something that she would see and hear everything that I felt through this gift. After a few drawings and explanations, he crafted my vision exactly. It was a thin double chained white gold necklace, with one chain a ring-like fixture of small diamonds, and the other a single emerald stone, which matched her eyes. The emerald could fit into the ring-like fixture on the other chain and slide through it, creating a different style of necklace. She is traveling the world right now, and I wanted this piece to let her know that, despite our geographical distance, we were still connected to one another regardless.
