I don't know why I didn't come here sooner! I had a loose stone that I was extremely hesitant to mount. I was actually going to list it for sale, but I thought I would show it to a jeweler first and get an opinion. I was intending on going to another jeweler across the street, but they were closed. Slightly frustrated, I found that this jeweler was just a block away. Once I arrived I wasn't sure what to expect because many reviewers talked about this place doing repairs, and many of the customers who were in that day wanted battery replacement for their watches. However, prior to driving over, I did see on the Stuller website that they were a distributor so I knew they had to have settings. Javier and Cecilia couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I explained to them I had a loose stone and I wanted their opinion on whether I should have it mounted. Javier looked at it and said it was very pretty and didn't know why I didn't like it. Cecilia gave me their Stuller catalog and assisted with telling me what setting would look best for the stone. I ended up getting a small pendant setting and was told it would be ready in a week. I just picked up my setting today and WOW, I'm so happy I listened to them and got it mounted! I can see all the facets of my stone now and it looks so much nicer. Another bonus...because I bought from them, I didn't have to pay a setting fee! Most other jewelers charge $50-$120 to mount a stone on top of buying the setting, so I was really happy about that! I'm definitely going to go back here again! Ha, I'm actually glad that the jeweler across the street are closed on Mondays because I would have never discovered this hidden "gem". Beware, they do not guarantee their work. If I could give them a zero, I would. I took my wedding ring in to get the setting repaired with the diamond. My husband picked up my ring the day before our 18th wedding anniversary and had a long talk with the owner about supporting small local businesses. Four weeks later I show someone my ring and my diamond was missing. It had fallen out of the setting and was no where to be found. I went to Javier to show him the ring and setting and he denied even working on it! He said it was not the ring I brought in when he had it written in his notes my setting and cut style. He changed his story when he knew that wasn't going to work and said that I probably lost it gardening. Then he said I probably broke the diamond and he was not responsible (if the diamond broke, the setting would be damaged, it's not). I was so shocked by his lack of integrity and compassion. I asked him, "Don't you guarantee your craftmanship?" and he point blank said "No". The entire time I was there, he was pacing, denying, and telling me I was blaming him for my problem. I have been going there for years with other repairs and cleanings, I trusted him with the most precious piece of jewelry and now it's gone forever b/c of them. I'll be finding a better, more trustworthy jeweler. read more

Frankly, my life has been a shit show lately. Actually, for the past two years. My fiancé passed away one year ago, and I had a beautiful glass/acrylic pendant created with some of his ashes. I wore it around my neck every day for this past year. I had to have surgery on my hand having blown out several tendons spontaneously, so I am in a cast. I thought I could carefully maneuver the clasp on the chain that held that pendant, but I was wrong, and the pendant fell crashing to the floor, and breaking the glass bale. To say I cried hard would be an understatement... Two days passed before I thought to myself, gosh maybe a jeweler could glue something on the piece so I could continue to wear this beautiful pendant. I called and spoke to Javier and went in and met Cecelia at this wonderful jewelry store. They conferred with the jeweler who said that he could attach a sterling silver bale using a special glue. I was very nervous to leave my pendant there, but in a few days went to pick it up and honestly it is now more gorgeous than it ever was. I just wanted to take a moment and express my immense gratitude and appreciation for Javier of JB Jewelers. About eight months ago, my (now) fiancé and I went in to see Javier about designing a custom ring with his grandmother's diamond. Javier and his wife spent nearly an hour with me and my fiancé going through catalogs, books, and brochures of different styles of bands, halos, etc. to find the exact design I had in mind. I originally had a certain design in mind and when we were unable to find it in a catalog, he had me email him different parts of other rings to create a unique, custom one of a kind ring. He was so prompt in his responses and made me feel like an important part of the process, even though the final design was still going to be a surprise to me. Fast forward to just about three weeks ago, I received the most stunningly beautiful ring I have ever laid my eyes on. It was a fourth of a size too small and my fiancé immediately got it dirty. Javier had me come in on a Saturday to get my ring resized and cleaned and for a process that I thought would take days; it took him merely an hour. Not only that, but he was so informative about the upkeep of my ring when I was asking him questions about how to clean it that he handed me ring solution to keep my ring sparkling between cleanings. Javier was such a big part before, during, and after our engagement. When I came in to show him the ring and final product on my finger, I loved how him and his wife were beaming with pride knowing how happy I was about my ring. Xavier at JB Jewelers will give you what he wants which is more than half LESS than what a Pawn Shop will give you. I was actually referred to this place from my friend. It's a small quaint shop with a selection of the finest jewelry and watches they have to offer. I had my eye on this Seiko, dark black/charcoal watch that I thought was a reasonable price. They also have a number of other brands, but I can't remember the other ones. The main reason I was here was to get some new batteries for my watches that I had not replaced in a while. Let's be real, one of the best accessories for a man is his watch, so yes I had obligation to take some action. I believes that the two people who helped me were the owners of the shop. They greeted me right away and were very helpful. They actually asked me if I had come in before and I said "No, this is my first time in here." I think they they thought I was my friend (FYI I'm more handsomer than my friend). It was VERY affordable to replaced my batteries, $8/ watch, such a DEAL!!! And I really appreciated that customer service, really personable!! I def. will be back to patron this jewelry store. This is my second 5-star review for Javier and Cecilia at JB Jewelers, and is well deserved! On my first visit to the store, Javier replaced FIVE watch batteries while I waited, was extremely friendly and professional, and impressed me with both his service and selection. Today, my husband and I went back to pick up some chains I had left for repair. I am extremely hard on chains because I have long, strong hair that breaks them. All four of the pieces I had left were repaired so you'd never guess they had been damaged. Not only were we thrilled with the repairs, my husband purchased gifts for me, and I purchased a watch for him. Javier's prices were very reasonable, and he was very helpful about customizing pieces to make them perfect! In fact, when he replaced a band on my son's watch, he even etched the case of the watch so it would match the new band. It made the watch look twice as expensive, and there was no extra charge. Cecilia is kind and helpful, and was great about showing us pieces while Javier was working on our order. Both of them go out of their way to help you find the right piece for your needs. I had gone to this store after a horrible experience with Zales. I had ordered a Mother's Ring for my wife from Zales and then they messed me over with a 5-6 week turnaround after they took my money. I decided to walk into JB Jewelers and see if there was anything they could do for a turnaround time of 05/31/2014 and this was about a week ago. Javier and Cecilia were courteous, empathetic, and friendly and told me no problem. They worked with my limited budget, answered a plethora of questions and spoke to me as if my concerns were their concerns too. They assured me it would be ready by 05/29. Instead it was ready 05/22!
