I was given sub par partial that broke just after a year. I was also asked to not come back from the dentist via a letter. They don't work with delta dental nor the patient regarding billing. I was left waiting in the exam room because "Dr. Sutton is in a meeting with the office manager". I waited 30 minutes and the. got up to leave. Dr. Sutton said to me "Don't act that way - you did this last time and left before your dental X-rays". In other words - the second time this dentist kept me waiting 30 minutes. I feel like this company robbed me by deceiving my on the price both initially, as well as lying about the total amount I would be paying on additional services. I was told I would pay one price, signed off and then after the cleaning was told the actual price which was $100 more than I signed off on. I was initially happy with the cleaning I got despite it being a very rough experience. However, It's the next morning and I feel like there are multiple spots that were missed during the cleaning and will be going to another dentist to have them check to either confirm or deny this suspicion. In 31 years I have never felt that I did not get a thorough cleaning. Looking back on the experience I felt scammed by their promotion. I thought the hygienists' rough and persistent approach to my cleaning was needed since it had been a while since my last, however I know I shouldn't be feeling spots they missed the next day. Overall, if you don't have insurance you should be cautious about going to Westfield Dental Center. I might feel different if any level of empathy for the mistakes and misdirection on their end was made, or even an attempt to rectify the situation. My experience is they were more than happy to ignore these issues, take my money and push me out the door. I have an appointment with another office to make sure the spots I feel and see aren't spots missed during cleaning but at this moment my hopes aren't high. read more

Have been here three different times. The first time was just fine. Had to do a deep cleaning the first time, then a cavity fill then they told me to come back for just routine cleaning. Was told the routine cleaning would be covered by insurance. Office manager now tells me it would have never been covered by insurance because of having a deep cleaning before and her staff would have never told me that.... Started billing me from their office an amount that was different than what I was told on the phone. I also paid $110 out of pocket before leaving the office. This place is a complete mess that clearly can't get their paperwork or team right. Lady didn't want to work with me on the phone for the new bill and hung up on me. Do not go here! read more

I went to Westfield Dental Center for over 8 years. They were a wonderful group and handled the care for me and my children very well. I was very pleased, thought very highly of the facilty, and always spoke well of it. However, I had been seeing a decline in recent months, though I could not quite put my finger on the source of the issues, and my last couple months with this facility have been extremely concerning. I had been having issues with a dental concern that Westfield Dental Center was handling. I trusted their evaluations and information. However, I became very ill to the point of almost being hospitalized. When I found out at a dental specialist that my illness was caused by the mishandling of my dental care by the Westfield Dental Center, I of course went to the facility manager to express my concern. Some people might have just changed locations or filed a lawsuit (which would have been justified, given the severity of the situation), but I loved this place and wanted to work things out. However, the facility manager handled the situation so dishonestly and irresponsibly that I was concerned for my safety and well-being in any continued care from this facility. I have moved my care to another facility and will not be returning to this facility nor will I be recommending this place to anyone who asks. read more

We were patient's here for 27 years. Our dentist retired, and the office has since deteriorated. I do not recommend the new dentist, and the office is horrible! This office has very poor communication, customer service skills, and billing. read more

Initial visit had some issues with long wait and they messed up the paperwork. It happens let it go. Dentist was kind and professional and hygienist was good. Made appointment for follow up and realized I needed to change it due to work. Declined the confirmation and tried for 2 days to change appt left voicemail's because no one answered. No one ever called back. I finally reached them myself and changed appt day. Did not receive a confirmation. Did not think about it as I had confirmed on the phone. Show up today and wait a very long time only to be told dentist will not see me because I did not confirm. What?? They could not produce proof they had sent a confirmation--because they didn't. If I managed my office the way this was handled I would be out of business. Guess I change dentists. read more

Went in expecting a routine cleaning, which is fully covered by my insurance. They performed an oral cancer screening and fluoride treatment, without asking if I wanted them. I didn't find out until I was being checked out that I would owe $108 for these procedures. I called them 3 times and spoke to the front desk and the manager, hoping to get some kind of leniency on a charge I didn't expect and would not have consented to had I known about it beforehand. No one I spoke to was in any way helpful; since I had already paid, they could all just say "the service was performed" so there was nothing they could do. I'm sure they were technically and legally in the right, but the whole thing felt very underhanded and designed to make them money instead of properly inform patients of what to expect. Would not recommend going here unless you're prepared to ask if every step of your visit will incur extra charges. read more

My recent experience at Westfield Dental was extremely poor to say the least. They put 2 crowns on for me last summer, and they just quoted me MORE THAN DOUBLE for the same work last week! I showed them what I paid 8 months ago and after the office staff was done finger pointing and giving me 4-5 ridiculous reasons, I felt they were incredibly dishonest. If any of their reasons were the truth it was hard to decipher. One girl, Jessica, even offered me an in-between price, but when I asked the office manager, Kelly, to email me the quote to have in writing, she said she needed to check to see if they could even do it and would let me know. That was last week and haven't heard from them since. Price-gouging, dishonesty, and unprofessionalism are NOT what I want to encounter with my dentist office. read more

Westfield Dental Dr. Mary Freekhart and her staff are amazingly patient and careing. They treat all patients with respect and dignity. I had a huge amount of anxiety about this appointment. I went in and received great care and left feeling great. This staff has helped with my life long dental anxiety while providing top notch care.
