I've been using a doctor at this practice for a few years for eczema and other medical skin conditions. Generally she's been fine but keeps insisting I do patch testing to solve everything. Recently I've been dealing with a skin issues for over 2 months with no solution other than patch testing. Decided to leave the practice for another doctor who seems more suited to my issues and has better diagnosis skills. Very upset. read more

When I signed up to see a dermatologist in Wellesley, I did not expect for it to be in a building as old as the state. I imagine they make out on rent for this horrible building that was likely built in the 1940s. But the actual offices are nice and super modern - too bad I feel like I went through a time warp to get there. The doctor I saw was perfectly nice but I don't feel that her examination was thorough. She didn't check every place and seemed to take great stock in the fact that I had a mole exam within the last 3 years. The entire thing took 4 minutes. I asked about further procedures and pricing... of course, she has no idea. However, I recently had several rude dermatologists and this doctor was perfectly polite. Being a new patient I waited over two months to be seen. I had a mole removed and I had to call over and over trying to get my test results. After numerous messages looking for results I finally left a message to cancel all upcoming appointments. This got me a call back from an unapologetic staff member who did not care that it took me three weeks to get my results. A patient should not have to beg for test results. My husband and I recently visited for annual skin checks. They billed our insurance as a diagnostic visits (not preventative) and our insurance company's guidance is that is should be billed as preventative for coverage. However, Krauss refuses to update the claim as they said "specialty office and don't do preventative care." What does that mean? All they care about is making money and not their patients. read more

This place first seemed ok. The receptionist sent me an email response, which stated that I could see a doctor or nurse for my cosmetic consult. The sender was Stacy. When I called, Riley answered and seemed confused, when I asked for a consult with the doctor. She preferred I see the nurse. I've been a patient of Dr. Krauss for years. But my mom and aunt also both saw different people in her office for different reasons and that's what prompted me to write this review. I had a terrible dog bite to the face that was mishandled by a plastic surgeon leading to chronic pain. The only person who was able to make a dent - and she made a huge one - in my pain was Dr. Krauss. She tried a few different things until she found solutions and to this day helps with the dog bite scar. I also see her for more vanity related reasons and she always finds me the solution that is the most "natural" and cost-effective. She won't recommend anything that is going to make you look fake. As I mentioned, other doctors treated my 87 year old mother and my 89 year old aunt who has alzheimers who had a cancerous growth removed. Everyone was terrific and kind. The office also runs like a well oiled clock. In all my years there I've never waited more than a couple of minutes (wish all my doctors were like that) and communication is great. I went to Kraus Dermatology after a Google search. I've had two visits there and both were fantastic. I'm new to cosmetic procedures and had derma fillers both times. Both Dr. Norden and Dr. Krauss are fantastic and both did an excellent job with the fillers. The results were very natural and that's what I was aiming for! Waited 3 months to be seen. Which is fine, I was expecting that. When I saw the dermatologist he was nice but the appointment was all of 120 seconds. Looked at a couple skin tags and a pimple on my nose. I left the dermatologist annoyed because I waited 3 months, and he was not helpful at all. Why didn't you just tell me on the phone insurance doesn't cover skins tags? Or does it? Doctor walked in, looked at my skin tag, and said insurance doesn't cover that and basically that was the end of my appointment. I have tufts health insurance. Anyways got a bill in the mail saying I owe $40 for the appointment. But Krause charge over $500 to my insurance. I want to know what exactly justifies you charging my health insurance over $500 to tell me insurance doesn't cover skin tags. They did not exam me, he literally did absolutely nothing. I will be contact my insurance company and power to the patients. Normally I don't care about stuff like this. Nor do I like to write reviews. But this is just absolutely ridiculous, even if it didn't cost me anything. What a joke they are!! read more

I recently saw Michael Bosworth at Krauss Dermatology - received ONE application of liquid nitrogen and was billed $425. It was coded as OUTPATIENT SURGERY! I was told there was nothing that could be done to change the coding by the Krauss billing office. I highly recommend that others take their business elsewhere. I certainly will. read more

I recently visited Dr. Krauss and had a wonderful experience. I was welcomed by her courteous and efficient staff and saw the doctor as scheduled. Dr. Krauss took a lot of time to listen to me and consulted with me about several treatment options. I am so happy with the results which magically removed the creases and wrinkles on my face. I have seen other cosmetic dermatologists before and Dr. Krauss was the best at balancing my desire for rejuvenation and wish to look natural. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Krauss and the practice she has built. I have been seeing Dr. Krauss for nearly 20 years and have had medical screenings, Botox, fillers and IPL treatments done. I always look refreshed and rested, never overly done. She is truly an artist when it comes to cosmetic enhancements. The office is serene, well run and the tone seems to be set by Dr. Krauss who treats everyone with kindness and compassion. I love that Dr. Krauss is always on the front line with technology and new procedures; and I really appreciate her candor. She has talked me out of a few procedures explaining why I wouldn't be happy with the results. After having a mild case of Covid in 2020 I started experiencing hair loss and was freaked out. She is currently offering PRP treatments for hair loss and explained it all to me patiently while managing my expectation. After 4 treatments I have new hair growth and am happy with the results. What I love about Dr. Krauss is that she doesn't try to sell you on another service or give you unsolicited advise on things like whether or not you need botox or fillers. Her practice is friendly, super competent and efficient. I go to her for annual skin checks and to get the skin tags and weird red marks on my neck removed. She's also great with children. My 8-year-old has a mole on her scalp and she goes annually for a check. Dr. Krauss is down-to-earth and great with kids. I love that she is easy to relate to, whether it's to confide in a beauty procedure you are considering or for a medical examination. I have been to 3 great dermatologists since moving to Boston nearly 15 years ago and she's the best! I never feel rushed and she really takes the time to understand and explain any concerns that I have. I also appreciate how great her staff is. My appointments have always been on time. Several years ago, I was working at a large Boston hospital, where I was also receiving primary care. I was referred to Dermatology for a minor issue, and learned that there was a 6 month wait for an appointment. Krauss Dermatology had been recommended by people in my town's Facebook group, so I called to make an appointment with Dr. Norden. I was able to be seen in a few weeks, and have been a patient for several years. As a healthcare professional, I am well - positioned to recognize excellent care and a well run office, and this is both. I highly recommend this practice. Third time visiting Dr. Lacomis at Krauss Dermatology and will not return. My last visit couple months ago the doctor did not take the time to check out my skin she glanced at it then prescribed medication, 3 months later never healed. Now I Have a scalp problem, I just saw her today she didn't even look at my scalp, then I asked her to prescribe a cream that won't be so expensive because I don't have part d coverage as yet for medicare, she said don't worry I will order generic for you. CVS just called me and I almost fell off my seat. $322.00 for a cream. These doctors have become lazy and it's all about money at least with this doctor. You have to be desperate to use Krauss Dermatology. I gave them 1 star out of courtesy. read more

I have been a patient here for around 6 years. They are wonderful to work with. From the secretaries to the nurses and doctors, all are tentative and good at what they do. They always take me on time with no waiting, though the waiting room is comfortable if you are ever there for a few minutes. You can tell the nurses genuinely like working there and are treated well, and they pass this onto the patients. Recently I had a procedure done in which I had some rare, possibly unrelated side effects. Dr. Krauss went way above and beyond to ensure that I was safe, comfortable, and satisfied. I really like coming here - specifically to see Dr. Norden (worth the drive). She's very thorough, a good listener and detail oriented. I really appreciate that Dr. Norden doesn't dismiss any question or concern - no matter how small or minor you may think it is - and she always explains very thoroughly why she's recommending a particular course of action or treatment plan (I appreciate her clear communication). Dr. Norden is the best dermatologist that I have ever had - and she doesn't hesitate to test anything that looks suspicious or that she wants confirmation about. My prior dermatologist waited over 18 months to test a suspicious spot on my nose and it turned out to be Basal Cell Carcinoma, requiring painful MOHs surgery and a skin graft. I feel like Dr. Norden is proactive, thorough and wouldn't hesitate to test something sketchy. One other little thing that I LOVE about this doctor...I had some weird rough patch on my elbow that I had for years that I mentioned in passing during one of our appts. and the doctor gave me a couple of small free samples of this cream that cleared it right up in no time (like miraculously)...I later found out from my pharmacy that this miracle cream typically costs hundreds (literally hundreds) of dollars and most insurance companies don't cover it. This one small gesture from the doctor saved me a ton of $. However, (more importantly) Dr. Norden saw a way she could solve a relatively minor problem, acted proactively and didn't try to write me out a costly prescription when she had some samples readily available to help me. That's how Dr. Norden rolls. Can't beat that. read more

I'm in my mid 50's and have been seeing Dr Krauss for cosmetic services for the past 2 years. I couldn't be happier with the treatments she has recommended for me! She has a real eye for treating areas that make the whole face look rejuvenated. Dr Krauss is so competent, kind and has a great sense of humor. I've always been conservative with makeup and wanted a natural look and was nervous I would look "fake". Nothing could be further from the truth, I look like a refreshed version of myself, and get so many compliments. More importantly I feel great. Dr. Krauss is a wonderful dermatologist. She has a keen eye, gentle hand and is well ahead of the curve in cosmetic treatments as well as healing skin problems, from the simple to the more complex. I travel all the way from Lynn to see Dr. Krauss. I have been to many dermatologists and skin problem was still a problem. Since seeing Dr. Krauss I am a very happy person. My skin problem is gone and I am a very happy young lady. Her staff is so friendly from the minute you walk in the door. The offices are immaculate. Why do I have to age I ask my image in the mirror? Do you see those tired lines that recently had gobs of sunblock on them deeply hidden beneath a sweepingly brimmed hat purchased at Krauss Dermatology? Just like my car appointments, I visit Dr. Krauss to have my skin checked for unusual formations at appropriate intervals. She greets me, checks me and zaps any suspicious spots. Renewed just knowing that another routine procedure is just routine, I muse how the few times my kids with a strange rash or bump have come in to see either Dr. Lacomis or Dr. Norden only to come out smiling and cured. I probably need more treatments to truly be "restored" but with Dr. Krauss, she does not push the services and yet maintains a high level of SERVICE! read more

I was not happy with this practice. I saw one of the female doctors about my acne and she didn't even come up to my face to examine me. She looked at me from across the room and suggested a prescription pill that I could take whose only side effect was a birth defect if you were to get pregnant with a male baby. I couldn't believe that was the only option presented to me and there was no examine! Needless to say I will not be back. read more
