    Shrimp Alfredo

We really enjoyed the food & atmosphere. Portions were large and tasty. Live music on Thursday & Friday nights. We didn't sit on the patio but it's large and looks great. Staff was very friendly. We'll be back again soon. They could use a larger selection of bourbons or maybe craft beers for our tastes but the standards here are fine.

Awesome Cajun Kitchen & Market food. Best in Tyler Texas! My Favorite is #19 Creole Catfish (fried catfish covered with Etouffee)

Gumbo was not good. Catfish was soggy. Not much of a drink menu. Definitely lacked atmosphere. Wouldn't recommend or go again.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

I love the oyster choices. I wish they would bring some west coast species in like kumamotos (my…read morefav). The only thing is there service is sooooooo slow for food. They get overwhelmed quickly. We have been several times and it is always like this if there is more than 6 people in the restaurant. They only have one guy doing food and two bar tenders. We like to order a mix of oysters They have available and then do another dozen of our favorites. We end up waiting an hour+ between when we get the first set and get the second set. Restaurant is cute on the inside and the cocktails are good.

I can't count the number of times that I've been, since I first tried the place in 2008 or 2009 (after moving to Tyler from the west coast). Bernard is almost always on hand to keep an eye on his "baby" and I've never had a bad dinner here. (Their lunch menu is a little light on choices, and I'm not a fan of the salad dressing used on the salads at lunch, but it's still a great place to take a client for lunch). Their dinner service is really where they shine though. The food is amazing, the ambiance is perfect for an intimate meal, and they always have amazing specials! (My favorite is when they have lamb... it is simply the best. My husband loves their seafood, but they do EVERYTHING well, and the bread and olive tapinade is so good that it's hard not to fill up on it while waiting for your food.) If you're adventurous, I'd suggest the escargot (after my husband tried it once, he now orders it every time we come here). If you simply want a decadent appetizer, the baked brie is wonderful. They also do a really good French onion soup. I really don't have anything bad that I can say about Bernard's, other than I wish it was open on Mondays.

Must-tries: You can't go wrong with their fresh seafood, the classic Escargot, or any of their expertly prepared steak and fish entrees. Every dish is packed with delicate, French-inspired flavors. Experience & Price: Expect to spend around $40-$70 per person. The service is attentive, professional, and welcoming. Perfect for a date night, an anniversary, or any special occasion. Highly recommend!
