The unsanitary part: the nail tools used on me were given a quick wash in the handwashing sink -- not even left to soak -- and returned to a sterilization bag that was then resealed. This feels very misleading, even if unintentionally so. As for the basic polish manicure, it felt pretty rushed and incomplete. I still had excess cuticle after, my nails weren't shaped, and the polish -- despite me sitting under the dryer for the recommended amount of time -- still hadn't dried more than an hour later. I ended up just taking it off.

The spa area itself was thoughtfully designed, with separate rooms for each service and charming signs on every door. When I entered the head spa room, it felt like stepping into a different world--dim lighting, candles, and the most amazing, calming scent. It was instantly relaxing. The woman who took care of me (she had short black hair) was truly one of the kindest people I've ever met. She made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The treatment itself went far beyond my expectations. I had seen videos of head spas before, but I had no idea it would include so much--there was a soothing waterfall feature for the hair, a facial, and an incredible massage. She massaged my face, neck, shoulders, and back, and every moment felt luxurious and rejuvenating. My skin has never felt softer. It was the perfect combination of relaxation and care. Then when he had to redo it he said "you messed up big time" "this is not a joke" "sit still" "stop talking and quit moving." She was getting her nails done for prom and sitting with her friends talking. This was supposed to be a fun experience. She gets her nails done all the time she's 17 and she knows how to act. I was appalled at how horribly she was treated. She still tipped more than she needed to because she's just too nice and couldn't help it.
