The only thing Kreig Mitchell is good at doing is billing for wasted time and phone calls and shady practices of moving my case from one court to another only to want to move it back again. When asked why I was being billed already double what he said it would initially cost and while venting about how much it os costing and how long it is taking, Kreig's unprofessional response was to threaten to drop my case. There was no discussion as to why he required months of billing for phone calls and redundant work. He would like to say that my comments were unprofessional, like telling him he is ripping me off. However you would want to word it, it is still the same thing and exactly what occurred. He said that an attorney is not a punching bag. I never once called said anything that was a personal attack to him. I only questioned him about why he is billing me and how much it is costing and vented and said F it sell it for low just to be done. That is his excuse for the first time he threatend to drop my case. I'll admit I did calm him spineless after he did drop my case. He would say dialogue is his reason but my question is what caused his frustration which in turn caused my reaction, and that is MANIPULATION. Stay away from this attorney and lawfirm. Don't just take my word for it. Their track record is worse on Yelp, which is strictly 1 stars and it is all for the same reasons. He also stalled long enough to lose the initial investor interested in buying the property who agreed to the purchase price. This is a procrastination and go on vacation attorney who took the money he knows the case was worth and dropped my case because I questioned him about how much it was costing. He has stolen a good portion of a rather small inheritance and failed to finish what he was hired to do. I have invoices with nothing but charges for phone calls and we're still at the same spot where we started. No solutions in the near future, either. Kreig has now blocked my email and in his final message he said that words like getting no work done and rip off are offensive and that no attorney would tolerate that but the fact is that we are still in the same place as when I hired him and place my retainer fee. And now he has definitely ripped me off. So in his defense he did exactly what I said he was doing and abandoned his work and ripped me off. It was a page straight out of a narcissist's playbook. This is my honest review of my experience with Kreig BEWARE: Very unprofessional and lazy team of lawyers. I would never recommend them! I came to Kreig with the issues I was having with the progression of my probate case, and instead of hearing me out, he dismissed me and pretended he didn't know anything about my case and my current treatment at HIS firm. And on top of that, he asked for more money(before the due date) without completing the tasks I paid for initially. When I audited his invoice it turned out he had tagged on unexplainable billed hours!! Be very careful with KMLLC, they don't have good customer service and they do not care about your satisfaction as a paying client. They are out to get your money and will pretend to be nice and informative to get you in the door. Make sure you opt for a payment plan with him, instead of paying everything upfront & log all of your correspondence with the firm or you will be sorry in the end. Hired Kreig Mitchell Law firm to represent on a IRS related tax matter. The experience was bad and would not recommend this attorney at all. Him and his assistant Sam Higgs both charged more than what was initially discussed. An Appeal that was supposed to be filed for tax abatement was never done and never followed up. Contacted Kreig LLC Probate Houston attorney Kara Kellogg regarding my brother's estate, she looked into it and informed me that my brother's girlfriend, who had moved in with him, also added on the deed of his house. I sent her my brother's death certificate and the names of other relatives multiple times, but she claimed that she couldn't find them and asked for a list of all the relatives. However, two of my nieces did not cooperate in providing the information. When I informed Kara about this, she said that we could not proceed without their information. She later suggested that we drop the case altogether, but then she told us that my brother was not on the house deed. We ended up doing all the work ourselves, and she misled us about my brother being on the deed. Moreover, when we talked to her earlier, she had promised us a refund of the unused money if the matter didn't work out. But after we dropped the case, she claimed that she had never made such a promise and that the contract stated that there would be no refund unless it was demonstrated that the minimum fee was excessive under the circumstances." read more
