Mom enjoyed living there. Mom's every need was addressed. The people who work there are the most warm, caring, & understanding people we have ever met. We never had to worry whether mom was being taken care of. We knew she was. There were many activities that kept mom busy & we were always included in everything that mom was involved in. We enjoyed meals with her regularly & when mom was no longer able to feed herself, there was always somebody helping her. Mom's time spent there was the best way a person could spend the final stage of their life - right up to the last day. Thank you for all that you have done. Terry B.

I remember when we first moved him in I thought the place was like a very nice hotel. They have beautiful common areas like an outdoor fountain and fireplace, a bar, several lounges and dinning areas, a movie theater, and game areas. They do happy hour for the residents where they can have beer or wine and hangout together chatting or singing. We've joined my grandfather for dinner a few times and it was always good, albeit with a lot of the expected soft textures. Snacks and refreshments are always available. They even have cookouts for some holidays and invite the families of residents. They encourage family involvement, my uncle is a certified volunteer and visits all the time and helps with programs. We often take my grandpa out and there's never been any hassle. They continue to provide excellent care for their residents.

That being said she was not able to complain about this place. She said I quote "the house was clean, the staff was very nice and the food was excellent." Before we chose this place we called about 30 assisted living locations and this place was not only priced fairly but goes the extra mile to make sure their residence are taken care of.

Review of Peartree Assisted Living - Pasadena, MD I cannot…read morerecommend Peartree Assisted Living in Pasadena, MD. While many of the staff members appeared caring and helpful, one member of the night staff consistently demonstrated behavior that was uncaring, rude, and neglectful during the final days of my dear friend P, who was dying from terminal cancer. Repeatedly, this individual failed to administer prescribed medications, leaving P in unnecessary pain and distress. Another close friend, M, who had been assured by the owners prior to P's transfer that she could stay overnight and provide the 24/7 companionship P desperately wanted, politely notified the administration about this negligence. Instead of addressing the staff member's misconduct--which I believe warranted termination--the administration punished M by banning her from the facility during overnight hours. She was only permitted to visit between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, times when she was obligated to be at her full-time job. This decision devastated P, who was near death and deeply unhappy about losing her support system. Tragically, she died alone in the early morning hours, without the comfort of a loved one holding her hand. When we saw her, it was clear she had vomited, and we fear she may have choked or aspirated. Given the lack of routine night care, we have no way of knowing what truly happened or when she passed. We are brokenhearted that our friend, who had no family and relied solely on us, endured unnecessary suffering--both physical and emotional--because of the administration's choices. Families entrust assisted living facilities with the care of their most vulnerable loved ones, often at great financial cost. In this case, that trust was betrayed. For these reasons, I strongly advise against placing a loved one at Peartree Assisted Living in Pasadena, MD

My mom shared a room with an older lady who "lost" her cellphone (probably stolen) and my mom did not want to bring her tablet in, with a fear of it being stolen as well. There were a few nice nurses and therapy staff. But overall, it seems pretty crappy. There is no set schedule for physical therapy and they don't do it on the weekends (?!?!). How are people supposed to recover when they don't have PT on weekends? They lost my moms paperwork for getting a special chair when she returns to work THREE times. Incompetent. I would NEVER want to be at this facility, but unfortunately my mom did not want to complain or try to be moved.  Look elsewhere!

After leaving 2 messages and waiting for 2 days for the director to call me, I still have not heard from them at all. I was given two different times that the director would be there and both were wrong. On one of the calls I was told that she has a phone in her room and they tried twice to transfer my call but the call wouldn't go through. All I got was a lot of noise and static. Unfortunately I had to return home without seeing her. Seems to me that some people there need to be fired, unless what I experienced is "company policy"? I wasn't involved in choosing a nursing home for her but I wish the family had made a different decision. In my opinion, this place "SUCKS".
