Mom enjoyed living there. Mom's every need was addressed. The people who work there are the most warm, caring, & understanding people we have ever met. We never had to worry whether mom was being taken care of. We knew she was. There were many activities that kept mom busy & we were always included in everything that mom was involved in. We enjoyed meals with her regularly & when mom was no longer able to feed herself, there was always somebody helping her. Mom's time spent there was the best way a person could spend the final stage of their life - right up to the last day. Thank you for all that you have done. Terry B.

I remember when we first moved him in I thought the place was like a very nice hotel. They have beautiful common areas like an outdoor fountain and fireplace, a bar, several lounges and dinning areas, a movie theater, and game areas. They do happy hour for the residents where they can have beer or wine and hangout together chatting or singing. We've joined my grandfather for dinner a few times and it was always good, albeit with a lot of the expected soft textures. Snacks and refreshments are always available. They even have cookouts for some holidays and invite the families of residents. They encourage family involvement, my uncle is a certified volunteer and visits all the time and helps with programs. We often take my grandpa out and there's never been any hassle. They continue to provide excellent care for their residents.

One of my parents is a resident now, and they have been in both the Assisted Living and (currently) the Cottage units (the latter being for memory care). First of all, I have to share my praise about the entire staff. I haven't met anyone there yet who didn't say hi or wasn't helpful. Everyone so far has been so wonderful to work with. They are understanding, helpful, engaging, and they seem to really care about their work. It makes a huge difference. The care provided appears to be top notch. I can't be around 24/7 of course, but the resident is doing very well physically, much more so than before arriving here. They even said the food is much better than they expected! The facility was very helpful in answering all of the questions I had, plus... many more that I didn't know I was going to ask! This whole process was all very new to me, and they understood this. They were patient with me and went out of their way to make us feel at home and at ease. So far, it's been a relief and a tremendously positive impact on our entire family.

OMG where do I even begin!!?? Let's just say that after having my mother there for almost a year…read morethis facility has truly lived up to every last BAD review. The only good thing to say about this place is that they seem to have two-three responsible workers there...everyone is INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNRELIABLE. They clearly take advantage of the FACT that most of their residents are senile, have dementia or not very aware of their surroundings. My family and I have witnessed workers cursing each other out in front of patients, workers arguing over who would perform service needed at time, a worker physically and verbally abusing an elderly wheel-chair bound patient who then posted it to Social Media and thought it was funny, my mother's ceiling leaked for over a month and a half and it was not until I made several phone calls and finally threatened to call the Board of Health and Family services that it was addressed. Her linen is continuously FILTHY, they put trashcans/hampers in her room to catch water, placed plastic bags over items and left all this in place for OVER A month. They finally move her into a room with a BROKEN refrigerator and BROKEN microwave BUT yet nobody told me or noticed. So her items went bad and I have yet to be reimbursed. I have requested several meetings and phone calls to no avail. At one time I had a mtg scheduled that was literally cancelled 2 hours before mtg. time and was told it would be rescheduled. I'm STILL waiting. Situations go UNNOTICED and UNADDRESSED. I have asked for the OWNER to call me over a WEEK ago to address ALL of these issues and I'm STILL waiting. Her room is always NASTY, the wash clothes and towels are dirty and dingy. Her laundry is never returned - many times I find other's items in with hers. And mind you, my mother has severe DEMENTIA so she is completely LOST and at their MERCY. The Board of HEALTH needs to do an INSPECTION here ASAP. The owner nor management cares nor bothers to return calls or messages. Half of the stuff on their WEBSITE and BROCHURES is FALSE and pure PROPAGANDA to get you in the DOOR. They do NOT have half of the SAFETY measures mentioned. The slot machines are FAKE and is used to TRICK you into thinking this would be a NICE friendly place for your LOVED one. I'm MOVING my mother ASAP. This PLACE is NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a major foot operation, my dad could not walk without assistance. My mother couldn't lift him and without any in-home care, he needed to have a place to provide daily physical therapy, medical assistance and meals. Heritage Harbour Health & Rehabilitation Center is located near the Annapolis Mall and Riva Road, off in a secluded wooded area. It is very convenient. The rooms are shared with two people and a small curtain between the beds. The TVs are small and somewhat old. The TV channel is the Baltimore channel line-up which was difficult for my dad since he is an avid Washington sports fan. There is WIFI but it's not that reliable. The PT facility looked great. That's what it's all about. The therapists were very friendly and committed to getting everyone healthy. After my farther was sent home, they continued to visit his home and help with daily PT. Before we knew it, they arrived to pick up the wheel chair, walkers and everything else. Now my dad is walking about as good as new. Overall, my father never said anything bad about the place but was obviously happy to get home.

The call buttons rarely worked, and when they did function, nobody came for 45 minutes. The nursing staff didn't make necessary medical appointments, housekeeping was mediocre, basic maintenance requests were ignored, memory care residents were left alone with few activities (our mother was in memory care several hours per day for a few weeks), and our parents were regularly shouted at by the cleaning person in retaliation for a family member complaining to the director about how filthy the room was. We gave the facility a year to try to improve, but in retrospect we should have moved them out within the first month. Only the meal delivery staff and the physical therapy staff (an independent company) were kind and compassionate. Ditto for the receptionist with the little dog. The head of wellbeing/nursing has a negative attitude and shows no compassion toward residents or family members. She appears to hate her job. The executive director is checked out and rarely on the premises. When she learned our parents were moving out and why, she offered zero apology for the many ways her facility was in breach of contract. Save yourself a lot of stress and find a better place.
