This made me stop going there. Today I was driving past and thought I'd try them again. The old lady (I believe her name is Nancy) was the only one available, but I figured I'd give her another chance. Big mistake! She was condescending the whole time. I asked to leave 3 inches on the top, and she cut off most of my hair leaving barely an inch on the top. I told her this was not 3 inches. She held up 3 fingers like a salute and said, See? 3 inches! I said, lady, a finger-width is not the same as an inch. I showed her a credit card and told her that a credit card width is over 2 inches, and her supposed 3 inches was less than that. I even held up the card against my head and explained to her that she left less than an inch of hair on my head. She got upset and told me that in hairdresser school, 3 fingers means 3 inches. I told her that even if that were true, her customers don't go to hairdresser school and for us normal folk, 3 inches is 3 inches, not 1 inch. The insane part was that even when she put her 3 fingers against my head, it was longer than the hair on my head. When I called her out on it she asked me to get out. She said, I don't want your money, just leave. Wow, way to treat your customers. TLDR, the old lady that works here doesn't know how to cut hair. If you do go here, try to wait for someone else to become available.

I've started growing out my hair since the date of my last review - and Naz & the other barbers have seamlessly taken on the task of making sure that I'm always looking my absolute best every time I stop by. Can't recommend their haircuts enough! The other fundamental selling point of Clip Joint is its steadfast dedication to preserving classic barber shop culture. Think about it - the ole' barber shop is one of the last places where a guy can go to discuss life, sports, current events, politics, etc. without fear of judgment or stepping on anyone's toes. I've always found that the clientele at Clip Joint are more than happy to talk about what's going on in the world as of late - and although some of these spontaneous intellectual discussions can get animated, they're always insightful and thought-provoking. Who knows? Maybe the barber shop is the new therapy couch now, hahaha. Anyways - Clip Joint reminds my gold standard 7 years after my first visit. I hope sport clips will improve their online check in. Sometimes the website has issue when I log in my account. When I log in my account, the website did not go through on my account to sign in. I put my email and password to log in my account, but it did not go through. I love using the online check in waitlist. Because when I check in the waitlist, I do not have to wait 2 through 3 hours long. I can request the stylist specifically with Juanita or Lilly on the website account. I'd pray the online account will improve better. Sport clips is my place where I called it my home. My favorite stylist are Juanita and Lilly. As I walk in, they welcome me friendly and graciously. I usually get number 2 or number 3 buzz cut. They buzz cut my hair evenly and smoothly. My previous hairstylist buzz cut my hair super rough at other franchise hair salon. My head hurts so badly, but Juanita and Lilly buzz cut my hair gently and made sure I was comfortable. After the buzz cut, they massage the shampoo on my scalp slowly, and gently. Since I have earwax, my ears are sensitive. I informed Juanita and Lilly to not rub my ear with a towel because I have sensitive ear. I told them not to spray water on my ear because I'm worried the wax will go deeper on my ear, and they both responded well. Juanita and Lilly did a great job servicing me. Juanita and Lilly made me feel stress free a lot. They feel like a family to me there. I want to apologize to bothering too much with Juanita. I felt bad for Juanita because I call the store a lot for question on waitlist issue. Juanita told me that I could walk in early on her hours and checking in the store. I knew Juanita had other clients, so I tried not to ask so many question as much as possible. She seemed a little bit stress so I tried to avoid asking so many question from calling on the phone. I really like Juanita and Lilly. I hope they stayed there to continuing to cut hair with me and other clients at Palos Verdes Sport Clips because Juanita and Lilly are my most favorite hair stylist.

She did a great job keeping the length, which I appreciated. My only complaint with my daughter's haircut is that it was cut crooked. When it came to my hair, unfortunately, this is the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to my hair and usually don't get upset over a haircut, but this is honestly insane. My hair was down to my butt. I specifically asked for it to be cut to my shoulder blades with long layers. My hair is now at my chin with extremely short, choppy layers that don't flow or blend at all. And honestly, the length isn't even my biggest problem. Fine, short hair can be cute. I could have gotten over it being way shorter than I asked for. But who layers hair like this? The layers are so short, uneven and choppy that I can't even put my hair up in a bun without pieces falling out everywhere. I have to pin my hair back just to keep it up. I didn't complain while I was at the salon because I honestly feel embarrassed and uncomfortable doing that. I kept hoping that after washing and styling it myself a few times, I would feel differently. It's now been a couple of weeks, and I'm still pissed. Hair grows back. I get that. But there is no styling my way around layers that were cut this poorly. I'm extremely disappointed.
