A week ago I stopped in to get a dozen mixed donuts, I asked to put in (2) 6 pk box's and then I could put them in my own carry bag where they would fit just fine. I have a hard time walking and must use a cain, leaving one hand to carry anything. I was charged the correct price of $19.95. Two days ago I stopped to purchase the same thing and because I requested to put them in (2) 6 pk. boxes, they wanted to charge me $25.00!!!! STUPID!!! It still was only a dozen!! ALSO, there was NO PARKING!!! Their employes took up all the spaces. I had to walk around another building, full length, and then there building, full length just to get to their door,!!! I sometimes (holidays usually), make the journey to east Anchorage for Krispy Kreme donuts. Krispy Kreme Anchorage has improved when it comes to their donut decorating quality. Their first Valentine's Day for example, their specialty donut decorations were trash. This most recent visit, we were there on Saint Patrick's day. Although service was great, I was disappointed to come home and find that we were given original glazed donuts instead of the "green ones." We literally only made the special trip for their holiday donuts. So...a little annoying. I would never choose Krispy Kreme over golden donuts (long time locals) but Krispy Kreme's donuts are still quality. read more

This is one of the largest storefronts I've seen and wow are they stocked!! Visited at about 2pm on a Thursday and they had tons of flavors available. They require masks so be sure to bring one along. The staff were very attentive and patient with us as we decided on our orders. I got the blueberry cake donut while my brother got a three pack containing the strawberry frosted, maple glazed and chocolate frosted donuts. They all tasted so fresh and delicious, like they had been baked minutes ago. I'll be honest and say that until this week, I didn't even know Krispy Kreme had more than a glazed donut. In the hunt for donuts to take to work on a Monday morning, my usual place isn't open, so KK was the closest to my building. According to their website and other posts online, it showed they didn't open until 7am, which was a bummer, since I'm at work by 6am. I decided to place an online order to pick up and it wasn't ready when I arrived. When I arrived, I saw their sign says that actually do open at 6am. Bummer! The gentleman that helped me was quick to fulfill my order but I had to ask for my latte as well. A couple pumps of caramel sauce... a couple pumps from an empty vanilla syrup bottle, which meant no vanilla in my cup and I also had the pleasure of watching them bend a paper clip to punch out the steamer holes too. Admittedly, it was probably the worst coffee I have ever had and there was also an inch of headspace because he didn't steam enough milk. Could have been because it wasn't what I ordered, without the froo froo syrups... but who knows, I didn't drink it. Hmph! The inside of the shop looked clean and organized and the donuts looked beautiful on display! I had never had a Krispy Kreme donut ever. So it was great to pop into one. The lady helping us was amazing. She was so helpful and sweet. She gave us options and told us which one was her favourite. And made our iced coffees perfectly. This was a great little stop on our way around anchorage. The store was really clean and well lit. Lots of places to sit and comfortable seats. I also like that you can see the donuts being made. That's was a bonus. I prefer a plain donut with a little dusting of sugar. That's the one I got. Did I mention how amazing the lady was. She also made the experience that much better. In fact if everything went wrong I'd rate it a 5/5 because of her. Best personality and just overall really seemed to enjoy helping us. read more

This was my first time going to Krissy Kreme. I am such an Alaskan girl, (INTERIOR ALASKA) that I've never really flocked to the 'happening places', the places that most people can't wait to go to. We don't have a TON of these places here in the Fairbanks area. I decided to stop before heading back to Fairbanks from Anchorage...and I'm' glad I did. I really liked the Blueberry Old Fashioned. My daughter picked Cotton Candy, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles and Caramel Apple. I even got a latte, and it was better than passable...and I'm a coffee snob. Twenty cents more for each special donuts. On our visit they didn't have the "Hot Now" sign on, nor did they have a lot of donuts to choose from. So we ended up with the usual choices- sugar, chocolate and maple iced, chocolate iced custard filled, and strawberry and chocolate sprinkles. The conveyor belt wasn't on either so nothing exciting to look at when we were there. We took our order to go so I didn't really have the chance to check the restroom. I've had warm KK right off the conveyor system, and they really do melt in your mouth. My 3 donuts from here were more like the ones I get in the grocery store at home: cold and a little dry. I stopped here after work to check out the festivities. This was actually my very first time trying a Krispy Kreme donut. After waiting in line for 45 mins, I ordered a variety of a dozen donuts. My favorite is the blueberry cake donut. I also tried their strawberry glazed, which was good as well. Based on both of those donut flavors, I found them to be a tad too sweet for me personally. The new shop is a decent size. They made it so the back is transparent so you can see all of the donuts made on the conveyer belt, which is really neat. All in all, they're not as 'melt in your mouth' as I was told they'd be...but they're worth it if you have a midnight craving for a donut. read more

Food - lots of donut choices here as you would expect. The great thing about Krispy Kreme is that the donuts are always the same. Consistency is good. They're not the biggest or most filling so multiple ones are probably required. Hot ones surely go down quicker than semi warm ones. Coffee is on point here. It's hot, fresh, and dark! The iced espresso I had was perfect...once they got it right. Service - great service but they seemed a little confused by my order (1 glazed donut and an iced coffee) and had to double and triple check. Kudos to them for saying the iced coffee they had was old and asking if I wanted something different. They made my coffee wrong (two shots of espresso over ice with a splash of cream) as it came out as a VERY milky latte. But they quickly corrected it. Notables- the drive thru order menu sneaks up on you. It's pretty far back from there window. Also, there is a sharp turn right after the window which is very weird. There's never enough filling inside the donuts (super skimpy) and the icing on the outside is so light the donuts dry out IMMEDIATELY. I dont remember them being like that back home. What a disappointing visit. Lack of customer service is the main reason. No warm welcome, all of the employees were hanging out talking in the back looking at me waiting. One employee came up and I asked her if I could use my rewards from the app to get any dozen donuts (like the app says) and she said she didn't know. You should probably know about the app if you work there but maybe she was new. She got another employee for help. The second employee (Kelly) was the reason for such a bad review. I asked her the same question and she said she had no idea. But she could try to have me pick any donuts including the more expensive ones. I said I'd be happy to pay the difference but she said I couldn't and that I'd have to pay for the full dozen. So I picked out a random assortment and the last two donuts I picked she said were specialty ones and I can't have them. I pointed out that the sign said they were just regular ones and they wouldn't cost extra but she said I still couldn't have them. The whole time giving me an attitude. No reason for that, I wasn't being rude or demanding I was just picking out a dozen doughnuts and needed help with the app. Won't be back for a while because of her. I love Krispy Kreme, but I only go when the hot lights on. This location apparently doesn't go by the hours listed on the website, they just do whatever they feel or whenever they feel. So I wouldn't waste your time driving across town for hot donuts because they're probably not going to be hot! I would definitely call and check first. read more

On the 3rd day of their grand opening, I drove to Krispy Kreme hoping to devour a freshly made glazed donut. I pulled up to the parking lot and an employee warned me that they close at 10pm and it's about an hour and a half wait. I left the place feeling defeated while passing by a quarter mile long wait at their drive thru. Their specialty doughnuts are good,nothing too fancy though. But it's the original glazed that we love & those are always good, but even better when hot & fresh out of the oven. I have been to Krispy Kreme in Anchorage several times and have visited Krispy Kreme in Washigton, Nevada and California previously. Never have I had such a dismal experience due to the lack of customer service. My husband and I came in today, he got two dozen donuts and I got a dozen a long with a coffee. Jose collected the donuts and was pretty rude when it came to my beverage. I requested an iced caramel mocha, but ended up with an iced caramel latte. I was going to say something but I decided not to based on the way I was being treated. I understand that it may not be the most ideal job as an adult, but please treat your customers better. You have Golden Donuts, which has severely dropped in quality and service if you saw my last review. There's Dino's Donuts, of which I've never been inside of but have consumed a doughnut once before which I enjoyed. Then, you have the blahhh doughnuts from the grocery stores. I think that's it? And now, we have another chain up here, the beloved KK. KK's doughnuts are a little small, lighter, fluffier, and very, very sweet. My teeth hurt a little when I eat one. I haven't had KK in probably 15 years until they opened up here and my coworkers lost their friggin' minds. Every Friday straight for about two months, someone would be bringing in a box which would be descended upon by a flock of business casual-dressed vultures. Seriously, the notion of free KK doughnuts made people lose their sensibilities. Anyway, it's aight. Their service is decent. I've gone at varying times of the day. Early, early Sunday morning, seems like some of the staff still need to be chugging some coffee. But service is prompt and doughnuts are always perfection. I think it's $12.95 for 12 glazed and $14.95 for an assortment. Plus, you can get some sweet free hats. One word of caution -- do not order their dark roast coffee! It was the worst I think I've had in my life. I rarely, rarely ever throw out coffee. This S&$*# was unsalvageable. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Don't do it. Burnt to all hell, rich in acid and nasty mouth-feel. I drink straight espresso and could not force myself to choke this down. It tasted like yesterday's leftover coffee was used as the water for a stale pot. Blehhhhh. Also, can we point out how hilarious it is that this place is right next to Body Renew?
