Knocking off a star from my previous visits. 1. Little or widely known fact? Double punch Wednesday's. They need to have two baristas on this day especially, no doubt they get more business. I pulled up same time as another car on the other window. She greeted me but made the other drinks first so I had to wait as she can only do so much at once. Lol 2. My drink was $3.75 so I gave her $5.75. She doesn't give me change back, tried to distract me with the double punch day. She's like have a good day!! Uh you forgot my change? Oh yea... she gives me $1 and all my quarters back. Ugh! Whatever at least I didn't pay $5.75 for a mocha I would have been sad. I try and make it easy for them. I tried this hut for the first time last night and the barista was on a personal call while taking my order. She was clearly upset with whoever she was talking to. I came down here earlier this afternoon for my coffee fix. Fresh Cup Espresso is a brand new coffee hut located at the intersection of Debarr and Muldoon next to Samurai Sushi and in front of Chanshtnu-Muldoon Park. Access can be a little tricky. You can only get to this spot by going northbound on Muldoon since there is no left turn heading southbound. Make sure you turn right into the narrow driveway just before reaching the traffic light. The baristas here are very friendly and upbeat. The girl who took my order eagerly greeted me just when I pulled up to the drive-thru window, a pleasant surprise compared to other places with employees who were busy on their phones and let you sit in the car for a couple of minutes until they were done texting their friends. The menu was your standard variety of coffee drinks, both iced and hot along with pastries, cookies, hot pretzels, and other assorted snack items. I decided to get a 24oz. Iced Americano with sugar-free French vanilla and heavy cream. This was only $3.50, a great deal for the size along with the heavy cream add-on. If you're commuting to work on the weekdays and happen to live in the east side of town, this is a convenient stop as you're going north to the Glenn Highway. They also offer you a punch card if you mention that this is your first visit here. The punch card lists links to their website as well as their Instagram and Facebook accounts. This would be your best resources to find any promotional deals if they are not listed on the drive-thru window by the main menu. The punch card also states that you get a free drink after the 9th purchase. It doesn't specify a certain size so hopefully a 24oz. will be free on the 10th visit. I have a sense that this place will do very well given their approximation to the Glenn Highway and the friendliness of the employees. read more

I had hopes for this place but it just really wasn't great. The drinks were ok, but something was off about them, my matcha green tea latte was way too sweet and tasted artificial and syrupy. This is saying a lot because I usually just go to Starbucks for drinks, and their drinks are very sweet. The tea didn't really taste like matcha either. That's just the drinks, the food really was not fantastic. We had 2 items and It was just handed off on paper plates, instead of in a bag or something, which would have been way better. Paper plates are not appropriate for a drive through imo. There was nowhere to put 2 drinks and 2 large plates. The food wasn't even the best, the croissant wasnt toasted, it was floppy and spongey- definitely just microwaved, which I am not impressed with. It's not that hard to get a small toaster oven for the shop. Definitely wouldn't have made it take longer, since we were there almost 10 minutes. Same for the pretzel, except it was crunchy in a couple areas. The cheese for the pretzel was a little cup that was literally frozen. They did not heat it up at all. I don't think this is going to be my favorite coffee shop. That's for sure. read more

I just tried Fresh Cup Espresso on Muldoon for the first time and the white mocha they made for me was really good. I have visited a lot of coffee carts around town, much like most of us in Anchorage do, and this white mocha is one of the better ones that I've had. Go check 'em out! read more

I love this coffee hut! It is my favorite in anchorage! They make Kaladi's coffee so well and have a variety of delicious flavors. If you are into sugar free drinks, they have lots of fun flavors besides just the classics. I especially love their sugar free peppermint paddy flavor-- it's delicious and high quality, not artificial at all. Their cold brew and lattes are the best in town and the service is great. This place is nice! Cool design, humble workers that will converse in conversation with you. The drinks are good. The only variable is the experience of the barista and if they know how to accommodate to your requests. So far they've been great and my coffee tastes good! I'm a fellow coffee maker so I know what it should taste like. Never had a burnt shot! Never had any problems. One day I dropped my drink before drinking it and the owner Rehana gave me a new one! I'm sure that's not gonna be the case for everyone but like I said. The owner and her crew are very humble. Highly recommend this place. read more

I asked for my money back and she stuck a straw in the drink I ordered and drank from it and shut the window she said you will get your money back in three days. Didn't think asking for a plain black XL iced coffee would be met with sh*t talking. Simply ordered said coffee above and the girl that took my order was very nice, said no problem and went to go make the order. Immediately right after, another worker there, young guy, started spouting off saying "I don't understand why people say XL like it's so stupid read the f****** menu it clearly says 32oz". I'm sitting in my car waiting in utter disbelief. I get it, I used to work in hospitality for 7 years and we'd gripe and complain about customers quirks, ridiculous requests, whatever. But because I said XL instead of 32oz you're going to verbally go off while I'm sitting clearly right there? Bye. Told them to keep the coffee and left. Will gladly be taking my business elsewhere.
