I was really dissapointed in my visit today. I'm going to give this review 2 stars because there may have been a chance someting was going wrong at the location (Secor Rd Toledo, OH) that I did not know about. Before I arrived, I checked the hours to make sure that they were open. It said that the location opened at 6 AM. I arrived at 7:20. I parked and walked to the door to go inside, but it was locked. When I looked in the windows, I assumed that they were closed because there were no donuts on display and the screens were turned off. Then, I noticed that there were at least 4 staff members there already. I was upset by this because it seemed like they were not doing their jobs. I wish 0 stars was possible. I'm giving up on Krispy Kreme. Every time I go here there's a problem. I'll order usually three donuts and at least one is not available. But they never even mention it. I check the box when I pick up my online order to find a donut or two that I didn't order. They substitute without telling you or asking what you want. And being that they NEVER have it ready they could do that. And the staff here are just generally terrible. They do not want to serve you. Ordered online the night before for the next day. When we arrived in the morning the girl knew nothing about it and was very rude kept telling us she never see the paperwork that we printed. The light was on for hot fresh donut so I thought I'd give them a try again, and while the donuts were good it's almost not worth going because the service is still so bad. Still can't be bothered to answer the drive thru speaker and they just stare at you at the window like they want you to leave. I understand it's New Years Even but the customer service we received at the drive thru today was beyond disappointing. Employee needs trained on how to best guide customers through ordering instead of being rude and unenthusiastic. It could be he didn't enjoy his job or it was short staffed and he was mentally done for the day, but that's where training should take over. Giving this 5 stars because the service is amazing. I was down on my luck, just had an argument. So as I was walking on a freezing day, crying. I came inside to get warm before I called for my ride. I sat at the table and one of your staff sat down next to me. Gave me a donut, juice, advice, and her flip-flops (barefoot, shoes were thrown out the window.) Attempted to place an order for a dozen assorted donuts only to be told they do not have any of them, even though they are advertised on the menu and not marked as sold out or unavailable. When they are open, you can expect them to not have a majority of donuts they advertise as available and I have waited over 20 minutes for my order more than once. Ordered coffee and a latte, and when I got to the window to pay, the girl said the latte machine just went down and asked if an iced coffee was okay instead. of course, I was okay with that, but the price didn't change. I asked about it after checking my receipt and she asked if I wanted her to adjust the price. My husband then asked her if it changed the price to downgrade to the coffee and she said oh, no, it's the same. He didn't feel like arguing because we were running late to be somewhere, but the receipt clearly showed the latte was $4.49 and the coffee was $3.09, so there's definitely a difference. I don't know if this girl simply is lazy, can't do math, or is scamming people, but something isn't right. If I could give negative stars I would. My review covers multiple experiences with this location over a long period of time. Not just an outlier. I love KrispyKreme doughnuts. They are my favorite but you cannot get them here. My favorite is the glazed raspberry filled doughnut. However, at this location their is little to no raspberry filling! See pic. On my boys last visit they didn't even have the original glazed doughnuts. How do you not have those? Customer service is terrible and the employees walk around with a "glazed" look in their eyes with no leadership or direction. This place cannot stay in business long? The girl started to take my order (I got an assorted dozen) in the middle of taking my order she started texting on her phone and when I told her 2 of the donuts I wanted she waited about 3 minutes and then looked up and said " huh what kind did you say again" super unprofessional.
