Definitely will not be shopping at kroger again. It doesn't feel safe. I hoped maybe it was a secret shopper but or even a worker but he had no name tag - no Kroger worker shirt. No Kroger vest. No badge name. He looked at me and he just sat there and I took off. I don't feel comfortable shopping there anymore. Sadly I'm going to have to cancel my membership and go to Walmart. It just doesn't feel safe. Especially since I have children I just can't. The food prices don't beat walmart - not when it comes to safety- and we can forget about ambiance. Kroger has some good deals. Most of them are if you have their card. There is a decent selection and a good variety of flowers. The main downside is how crowded they can get. I have stood in line for the pharmacy for an hour. At least it seemed that long. Since it is close to home, it is a good in and out shopping location. read more

This store is so dirty! The floors are filthy, the shelves are messy, and there is trash everywhere. A small refrigerated drink cooler at one of the registers was leaking so someone had just wadded up brown paper towels and piled them over the spill. 4th of July week end and they only had two registers open and the manager was walking around like he had nothing to do. The parking lot is ridiculous - carts everywhere - in parking spots, in the bushes, on the curbs. One of the worst things is the "smoking area" when you are walking up to the door - filled with employees on their break. Do not even venture into the restrooms - purely disgusting. Lastly, the expired food on the shelves!!! This store needs some attention by upper management. read more

Is an upscale version of Publix with higher prices as much as $1.56 for Harmless Harvest coconut water; Walmart sells it for $8.67, and Publix has it for $9.79. The store is very clean, easy access, and parking. Why do workers shun customers rather than greet them? I'll always patronize an establishment that does the little things--smile. Has good deals, but you must keep up with the ads and coupons. You can usually find a bargain as you enter and head toward the deli. Has a Good selection of flowers. The coffee shop is small but has polite and friendly staff. There are some deals on home items like glassware and kitchen gadgets. The store could use some care at the entrance. It needs vacuuming most days I shop. The parking lot has shrubs that need to be kept low so that one can see past corners, and some shrubs are dead. Overall, the staff members are helpful and friendly. Like everywhere else, prices are going up. read more

Kroger fuel fail! I shop at Kroger to be able to accumulate points to deduct for my fuel purchase. I also submit the online feedback surveys to get an extra 50 points added to my account every time I shop. Typically, 35 gallons are allowed during a fill up. Pump cut off at ~31 gallons. Informed the Kroger employee and was told that because of the gas prices, the amount of fuel allowed to purchase is being limited. Don't forget to select a nonprofit and tag it to your rewards account! read more

This store just continues to go downhill. Went there around 11:00 on Wednesday morning. Only two lanes open with lines down the aisles and the self-checkouts only taking cards. Some of us still like to use cash. As for having so many self-checkouts...I don't work for Kroger and don't feel I should have to check out my own groceries but almost always have to here. We'll go on down the road and pay a little more from now on. read more

As of 29 Jun 2022 case number 46252456. -I have been hung up on/disconnected/transferred over 30 times -I've been offed a $10 credit to my account. Then when I inquired about my refund, they tell me, we gave you $10 credit! -I have contacted live chat, a waist of time.. not their lane -I've been told 7-10 business days since 11 May 2022, its now 29 JUNE 2022. -I've been told, I'm a supervisor you'll get it 3-5 business days. -I've been told its a Boost program, they don't do refunds ...one charge was Boost, one was Kroger for $99. BOTH for the Boost membership. -I've been told I can't help you I don't have access to that access/department. -I've been told we can't put the money back to you, we can only take it away. -I've had spoiled milk derived, never complained. -I've had people show up not the same gender, race, that is listed on the app, never complained. -I've had rotten fruit. -I've order through instacart, one rep says give me the amounts and dates and I'll add it, but we get disconnected and was told by another rep sorry you can't get your points credited, even though I've already missed out on the savings because we are two different programs. -I've had deliveries from drivers who cars smelled like a cigar/cigarette factory and I never complained. -I've tipped over $99 in 2 deliveries alone. -I've heard babies cry, dogs cry, people sneezing, yelling in the background of Kroger call reps. I have been using the self checkout option most of the time. However, on November 23 all the self checkout options were closed. I had a huge cart of things since it was my Thanksgiving shopping. The checkout experience was exceptional. Not only did the attendants help me get everything ready and bagged well, Liz helped get my stuff to the car since I needed two carts. So, extra kudos to Liz for making a shopping trip that could have been really difficult exceptionally easy. read more

This is by far the worst customer service you can get shopping! I will never go back here... tried to order a cake and there is a thug party going on in the deli/bakery! The guy in the bakery I talk to today had music head phones in and was super rude. Once he took them out, he told me that cakes are round, well no s$&!... I tried to order a birthday cake and he had no clue, said he was going to break and another bakery person would be by to help... 15 minutes later, no one, WHY HAVE A BAKERY IF NO ONE IS THERE TO HELP? Also, why are people listening to rap music and dancing at work and not helping customers! I went to the front desk , told the front end manager the situation and still no help... I ended up going to Publix and let me tell you, they had about 5 people in the bakery all asking if I needed help, what a great shopping experience at Publix! Absolutely the worst pharmacy. If I could give zero stars I would. They are always slow at filling prescriptions. My medication was sent in over 4 hours ago, their app said it would be ready 2.5 hours ago. I came to pick it up and was told it wasn't ready, that it would be another 45 minutes. I received a message 10 minutes later (after I had already left) that it was ready. This has happened on several occasions, even when I used them regularly. I only used them today because my normal pharmacy is closed on Sundays. I try to be patient and understanding, but it's absolutely ridiculous when this is a constant occurrence. Definitely reminded me why I stopped using them in the first place. read more

This is my favorite grocery store in Aiken. When I go out of town, I miss this Kroger. It is always well stocked, with lots of variety for everything. I often tell family that can't find certain brands of food at other stores, Kroger will have it. And on my next visit, I find that thing so often times unfound at other stores. The bakery and deli is always fresh and the employees are always friendly and helpful. My kids always enjoy the free cookie they give and enjoy going to Kroger with me because of this. The prices are comparable, in my opinion, to other grocery stores, often times better. And this location is much cleaner then other local grocery stores as well. read more

It is a good thing that this supermarket does not have much competition. It is the largest grocery in Aiken and fairly convenient. Most of the front line staff are OK; just OK There is a problem with the management. Mostly, they don't seem to care about whether customers are happy and satisfied or not. Of course, that seems to be the way which the national headquarters operates as well. I have had several complaints over the years, 3 or 4 which ended with me calling the national headquarters. Only once out of the 3 or 4 was the person on the customer service line actually responsive. And it is not just with complaints. Yesterday, I tried to give someone who works there and does an excellent job a commendation. I took me two days to succeed. It was more difficult that lodging a complaint. Apparently, Kroger headquarters does not care if their employees do a good job or not. There are some exceptions. The gentleman who is in charge of the Pharmacy, James, does an excellent job and though very busy he takes time to explain things to any customer who asks. Also, the lady in charge of the Fuel Center, Sherline, is terrific. Perhaps the two of them are under a totally different hierarchy than the rest of the store. Kroger has a wide variety of items available, but do not expect a cheery smile or an abundance of courtesy, particularly if you deal with the management. Perhaps they need to go to Publix for a week or so for training. read more

This Kroger store has plenty of parking. It has the best wine and beer supplies around. The lady running this department knows everything about all the wines and beer. The meat department has the best steaks! There is plenty of room to shop in the store. The Starbuck coffee smell as you come in to the door blends with the bakery and I find myself filling my shopping cart up. Everything in this store is well labled and easy to find. I even do some of my Christmas shopping in this store. There is a new Fresh Market store opening down the street, but there is no way they can beat this Kroger Store.
